Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay-Z were spotted by the London paparazzi last night (Sun Nov 15) as they made their way back to their vehicle after a night out at Whiskey Mist nightclub.

Jay-Z performed with his wife on stage earlier that night during Beyonce’s concert at the O2 Arena, which was also the taping of the second live DVD for her “I Am… ” world tour. Kanye West also made a surprise appearance and performed “Ego” with Bey at the sold out show. Ever since Kanye West temporarily stole her shine at this years VMAs, it seems like Taylor Swift’s stock has shot up a bit. Hell, we’re not even going to lie. She’s generated some interest amongst us over here at Gossip On This too. Let’s be real now. Trust and believe if Mr. West hadn’t snatched that mic out of her hand a lot of people who are checking for her today wouldn’t even be given her a second thought right about now.

The young country music/pop star hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live over the weekend and opened up the show with a pretty funny song she wrote called the “Monologue Song (La La La).” In the short melodic parody, Swift took some shots at her ex boyfriend Joe Jonas, “douchebags who cheat on her,” and her new friend (sarcasm, people) Kanye.

The year 2009 has been very tabloid friendly to rapper Kanye West, from break-ups to make-ups with Amber Rose, interrupting Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs, canceling his big world tour with Lady Gaga and the list just goes on and on.

But through it all, Mr. West finally received some relief this past Friday, Los Angeles court commissioner dismissed all three misdemeanor charges against the rapper (and his manager Don C) in connection with a brawl with the paparrazzi at the Los Angeles International Airport in September 2008.

The three misdemeanors were grand theft, battery, and vandalism after the rapper allegedy confronted TMZ reporters and smashed their equipment after he noticed they were snapping pics of him. People magazine is also reporting that in return for the dismissal, the court offered anger management counseling for his random public outbursts and scuffles with the paparazzi.

Berk, Kanye’s attorney, told MTV news, “Kanye took the charges very seriously [and] responded appropriately by getting counseling to figure out why this happened.”

“RIP Kanye West” became a trending topic on Twitter (and Google) earlier this week after a hacking organization known as 4Chan hacked into credible news websites, including Fox.com (as seen above) and began spreading a story about Kanye West dying in a car crash Tuesday (Oct 20).

Kanye’s girlfriend Amber Rose immediately came to her man’s defense via her Twitter, saying that she didn’t find any humor in continuing to spread word that Kanye had died, even though it had been made clear that he was alive and well.

‘RIP Kanye West’ topic is not funny and it’s NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much. … It’s in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this we’re all human … and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. You wouldn’t want someone to say that about you.”

(01.) Jay-Z was given the honor of being the top emcee in the rap game for the year 2009, according to MTV. They give most of the credit due to his recent success with his latest album, The Blueprint 3.

Blueprint 3 is another Hov tour de force — and it destroys the myth that there’s an age limit on being a dope MC. At 39 years old, Jay is arguably still better than anybody on the mic today, rhyming with precision and grace. He throws buzzsaws right from the gate on the intro “What We Talking About,” where he raps about what he deems to be nonsense, like dwelling on rap beef.

Live Nation confirmed last week that the Lady Gaga and Kanye West tour, once known as the “Fame Kills” tour, is finito. Rumors of a cancellation circled around the tour after Kanye West showed his azz at the VMAs back in mid-September. Folks were speculating that the tour was canceled due to a mix of poor ticket sales and creative differences, but Gaga says that’s not the reason. She said the decision was mutual and Kanye just wanted to take some time off. She also revealed that she will be going on a solo tour in a few weeks.

“It was a mutual decision,” Lady Gaga told the media at Billboard’s annual Women in Music event Friday (Oct 2). “Kanye’s going to take some time off. But the good news is that I’m going on tour in a few weeks.”

Gaga’s solo tour kicks off in mid-November.

This knucklehead just won’t learn, will he? Your boy Kanye West showed out at Common’s big charity event over the weekend after he spotted some folks eating chicken and he didn’t have any of his own. So like the three-year-old that he seems to be portraying as of late, he threw a temper tantrum and demanded that his requests were granted. All of this over some damn chicken. Then when he got the chicken, he reportedly took a bite and threw it away in the trash while his celebrity friends and his girlfriend Amber Rose looked at him like he was a lunatic.

After spotting a man eating chicken, West blurted, “Why wasn’t I offered chicken? You want me to perform for free, [and] everyone is eating… why am I not eating?”

When the waitress explained that he never asked for food, ‘Ye yelled, “Well, I’m asking now!” After receiving chicken, he allegedly proceeded to take a bite and then throw the rest in the trash. Meanwhile, the rapper’s beau Amber Rose, stood silent, while other celebrities backstage watched in awe.

Other guests that night included Nas, Ludacris, Mos Def, De La Soul, Heavy D and Queen Latifah.

This makes Kanye’s second outburst within the last month. Word on the sidewalk is that he developed a drinking problem after his mother passed back in November 2007. And now his close friends/family members are trying to get him to go to rehab. We think he might need to take up their offer pretty soon before he does any more damage.

Funny man Affion Crockett recently posted this hilarious video spoof to his YouTube page. The video is a parody of Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, but has a big twist. Instead of the words, “Who’s gonna run this town tonight,” the female portraying Rihanna in the song/video is saying “Who’s gonna hunt Chris Brown tonight?” and the whole video has Rihanna, along with Jay and Kanye (both played by Affion) leading a manhunt to hunt down Chris, also played by Affion. The beginning of the video is completely hilarious as it shows Affion dressed up in a blue sweater and a bow tie mocking Chris’ Larry King interview. Jay-Z has finally spoke his two cents on this whole Kanye West/Taylor Swift drama. In an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Jo Whiley, Jay-Z, who plays big brother/bossman to Kanye, basically explained that although what ‘Ye did was wrong and out of place, his actions weren’t exactly outside of his character.

“[Kanye is] like my little brother, I pretty much introduced him on the first Blueprint… He’s just a super passionate person, and of course it was rude because it was her moment but that’s how he really felt… I think it was rude, but I don’t think, the way they’re treating, it’s on the front of every paper, he didn’t kill anybody, like, no one got harmed… At the end of the day, we’re gonna celebrate him for his passion… As he grows and matures, he’s got to know how to balance that. He’ll learn that in the years to come…That passion wasn’t fake, it wasn’t staged… I don’t think he should lay low, I think he should go on tour and have a brilliant career…The thing you have to realize about it, he’s been that passionate from his first record, he used to jump on tables, I’m trying to make the first Blueprint and he’s jumping on tables. [laughs] If he had changed because of his success, then it would be something else, then it would be a different thing but he’s always been that passionate.”

We agree! What Kanye did was wrong. He’s apologized several times to the public and to Taylor herself. And here it is Friday (5 days after show) and this incident is still a hot topic and it seems like “everybody hates Kanye.” It’s time to move on people. It wasn’t really that dag gone serious!

Following his much publicized outburst at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, rapper Kanye West sat down with famous TV personality Jay Leno for a short interview aired on the live premiere of Leno’s new primetime show, “The Jay Leno Show” Monday night. In the interview, a very somber Kanye West apologized (for the third time) and explained his side of the situation while making sure he wasn’t trying to justify his own actions.

When Leno recalled meeting West’s late mother Dr. Donda West (who passed away in November 2007) and asked Kanye what she would have thought about his actions Sunday night (Sep 13) at the VMAs, the Chicago bred rapper sat silent for more than 20 seconds to try and compose himself. The live audience was also dead silent as they wanted to hear what Kanye had to say.

“Obviously, I deal with hurt, and so many celebrities, they never take the time off, and I never took the time off, really,” West explained. “I’ve really never taken the time off. It’s been music after music and tour after tour. And I’m just ashamed my hurt caused someone else hurt.”

Leno said West asked to speak prior to the Jay-Z-led performance and thanked the superstar for honoring the commitment to perform. West said the past 24 hours had been extremely difficult for him. He said he immediately knew his behavior was inappropriate and apologized for stepping on Swift’s emotion, as the young starlet was jittery onstage celebrating her big VMA win. “It was just very rude, period,” West said. “I’d like to apologize to her in person.”

Leno tried to lighten the mood at times, asking West when he knew his protest crossed the line. “As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going,” he said to a small laugh from the audience. West, however, was anything but humorous throughout his three minutes with Leno. He teared up when the talk-show host brought up his late mother, whom he lost in November 2007 due to complications following cosmetic surgery. The rapper addressed his broken engagement and mother’s passing in his last album, 808s & Heartbreak, but he’s attempted to deal with his emotions onstage rather than behind closed doors.

Now, he appears to be ready to confront some buried pains in private. “I have to analyze how I’m gonna make it through the rest of this life and improve,” he said.

In response to Kanye West’s outburst Sunday night (Sep 13) at the VMA’s, our very own President Obama was recorded calling the rapper a Jackass! In an off the record conversation with ABC news anchor Terry Moran prior to an interview, the President said:

“I thought that was really inappropriate, you know? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she’s getting her award. What’s he doing up there? He’s a Jackass…”

Obama and the people around him then laughed about his statement, referring to an incident a while back when PETA jumped on his case for killing a fly in an interview.

“Where’s the pool? C’mon guys, cut the President some slack! I’ve got a lot of other stuff on my plate. Because I know the last time was the fly thing. Was that PETA?”

Moran told his 1,000,000+ followers about this on his Twitter shortly after it happened. But now, TMZ has obtained a clip of Obama’s comment. Take a listen above!

By now the whole world knows that Kanye West rudely interrupted Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech Sunday night after it was announced that her video for “You Belong to Me” beat out Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” for a moon man. Kanye thought the award deserved the Beyonce and wasn’t ashamed to let the thousands of people in the crowd and the millions of people tuning in know it. Immediately after the show, he wrote this apology on his blog, that was later taken down:

“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the cribe right now cause…. Well you know!!!! I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaawww!!!! You are very talented!!!!! I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me… That’s what it is!!!! I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!! I really feel bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry!!! Much Respect!!!!!”

The interest in this story and the apology that followed drove tons of people to his blog and the server couldn’t handle the traffic so they took the site down temporarily. But when it came back up, that post was gone and was replaced with this:

“I feel like Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents” when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave… That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

When Kanye West hit the red carpet with a partially drank bottle of Hennessy and started passing it around to everybody, we should have known the night wasn’t going to go well. As country music star Taylor Swift accepted her award for “Best Female Video,” Mr. West bum rushed the stage and snatched the mic from her hands.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’m gonna let you finish … but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” Kanye exclaimed to a booing audience.

The camera quickly cut to a very shocked Beyonce and by the time Kanye shrugged his shoulders left the stage, Taylor was at a loss for words and didn’t even get to finish her acceptance speech. What a way to remember your very first moon man. Kanye and his girl, Amber Rose, were later asked to leave the venue.

But near the end of the show, Beyonce’s Single Ladies video won the award for “Music Video of the Year” and Beyonce being the classy lady that she is, allowed Taylor to come up on stage and finish her acceptance speech.

“Thank you, wow … this is amazing,” Beyonce said to the crowd. “I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment.”

The bottle apparently made its way around the audience because Pete Wentz was also spotted drinking straight from the community bottle. Looks like Kanye and Amber were trying to get everybody a little loose!

Rapper Kanye West and his girlfriend Amber Rose decided it’d be a good idea to arrive on the red carpet of last night’s VMAs with a big ol’ bottle of Henny, which explains their choice of attire. They both, especially Amber, had to be pretty drunk to leave their hotel dressed like that. Rapper Jay-Z brought out the big guns when he performed Friday night (Sep 11) in New York City’s famed arena, Madison Square Garden for the “Answer the Call” 9/11 benefit concert. The Brooklyn, NYC born and raised hip-hop icon performed some of his biggest hits from his old albums and some new songs from his most recent album, The Blueprint 3. Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, John Mayer, Kid Cudi and Santigold joined Jay-Z on stage during the sold-out concert. All proceeds from the show went to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.

Mama Tina was even in the crowd showing her son-in-law some love and throwing up the Roc sign!

Kanye and Amber were spotted on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon (Sep 3). The couple was also seen inside of Intermix doing some shopping before making their way down Robertson Blvd. to spend some more money.

Young Money’s Drake and Lil Wayne, along with Eminem and Kanye West, have come together to bring us “Forever,” the biggest hip-hop collaboration since last year’s “Swagga Like Us,” according to MTV. “I love Kanye … [he] is my very dear friend and we are creative kindreds,” she said. “It’s been fun to work on the design of the tour with him — we’re finishing each other’s sentences. “It’s going to be one of the most groundbreaking moments in touring history,” she continued. “I am sure of it.”

In another interview, this time with Out Magazine, Gaga says she told Kanye four things: she’s gay, her music is gay, her show is gay and she loves that it’s gay.

“When I started in the mainstream it was the gays that lifted me up,” she says. “I committed myself to them and they committed themselves to me, and because of the gay community I’m where I am today.” Earlier this year, in her acceptance speech for her MuchMusic award for best international video, Lady Gaga thanked “God and the gays.” Before agreeing to tour with Kanye West this fall, Gaga told the rapper, “I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.”

Dates for the upcoming tour have yet to be announced, but the duo will reportedly begin their trek across the country on October 4th in Buffalo, New York. But until then, you can catch Lady Gaga when she performs September 13th in New York City at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Rapper Kanye West surprised the audience and performed on stage with fellow rappers Malice and Pusha T of the Clipse during the Diesel U Music 2009 NYC Tour at Webster Hall last Thursday (Jul 30) in New York City.

In related news, Kanye and Eminem are both nominated in the same four categories for the upcoming 2009 MTV VMAs: Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Best Special Effects. We’re not sure if you caught the “update” to our original story of Kanye West supposedly campaigning to be the new King of Pop, but it turns out the whole thing was fake and if you notice, the website we sourced the story to has a disclaimer at the bottom basically saying you should take everything posted on the site with a grain a salt. And in true Kanye fashion, the Chicago bred rapper himself has responded to the bogus story with a message all in caps on his personal blog:

Now, we’re not going to lie. That satire website had us fooled for a minute, but we still didn’t put it past Kanye to come up with something that crazy and outlandish. With this recent (and last) explanation, we’ll be sure to give our boy the benefit of the doubt in future cases.

Popular financial gurus Forbes has released yet another list. Their previous list featured Beyonce perched at the top, earning a staggering $87 million in one 12-month period. And now her husband, rapper Jay-Z, is sitting at the top of the “Hip-Hop Cash Kings List,” earning an estimated $35 million over the past 12 months. A far cry from the $82 million he pulled in last year, but still pretty damn good, especially in a recession.

BET Networks recently announced via press release that rappers Jay-Z, Fabolous and Young Jeezy and gospel duo Mary Mary have all been added to the official line-up of performers for the 2009 BET Awards. The annual ceremony’s star-studded line-up of performers already includes platinum-selling artists like Beyonce, Kanye West, The Dream, Soulja Boy, Ne-Yo and Maxwell so the new additions to the roster will no doubt be in good company.

Rapper Kanye West and international pop sensation Lady Gaga are going on a co-headlining tour this fall, and while nothing is “officially official,” saying that Kanye West is excited about the nationwide (and possibly worldwide) trek would almost be an understatement.

“She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act,” he said of the tour on a recent appearance on ABC’s The View. “We’re doing it together, with no opening act.”

Apparently, recent reports of Kanye West and his model chick girlfriend Amber Rose calling it quits are completely false. Necole Bitchie says Yeezy stopped by Deliciously Vintage in Chicago over the weekend and bought some vintage clothing and accessories for his boo, Amber. When asked who he was buying the clothes for, the owners of the boutique said he responded with “You know who this is for! She’ll be rocking it in Paris, watch!”

And then there’s this brand new pic of the two of them together on the set of Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” video shoot, which was done yesterday and is actually being directed by Mr. Kanye West himself (how dope!). We’ll see how good his skills are with directing when the video releases. But for those who are wondering, YES … Kanye & Amber are still on.

Actress Raven Symone and rapper Kanye West posed for pics on the red carpet of Kanye’s “Kanye West S.H.O.W.S Up” benefit reception and performance at the Chicago Theater Thursday (Jun 11). The Chicago native performed a free concert for Chicago Public School students on behalf of his Kanye West Foundation, co-founded with his late mother, Donda West.
