Wiz Khalifa was all smiles as he posed beside his fiancee Amber Rose last night (Sun May 20) on the red carpet of the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, which was hosted at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and hosted by Jane Lynch, the 2011 Emmys featured red carpet appearances from tons of celebs, including actresses Taraji P. R&B singer/songwriter Keri Hilson performed at the 59th Annual BMI Pop Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel Tuesday night (May 17) in Beverly Hills, California.

Other celebs like music legend Chaka Khan, R&B singer Anthony Hamilton, Cash Money artist Jay Sean, songwriter Kara DioGuardi, and rockers Joel and Benji Madden, and many more were also in attendance. The show also featured performances from Brian McKnight and Chaka Khan.

The couple exchanged vows in front of a small group of family and close friends at a botanical garden in Los Angeles on October 24th, and decided to keep the ceremony under wraps to avoid a ton of media attention.

While she describes the wedding as “beautiful, moving and personal,” especially since her pastor father-in-law performed the ceremony, Smollett says putting the wedding together was almost as much fun and rewarding as the main event.

“It was such a fun process,” the actress says. “We didn’t hire a wedding planner. Josiah and I literally decided every detail together.” And she even averted the dreaded bridezilla role by keeping her partner close. “I didn’t have the pressure of wondering whether or not the groom would like certain things,” she says. “He was right there for every decision.”

How has life changed for Smollett since tying the knot? “It’s incredible,” she says. “My best friend is my life partner. It doesn’t get any better than that.”

The Madea Goes to Jail filmmaker took on the challenge of adapting Ntozake Shange‘s controversial 1975 play for the big screen last September (09) after Whoopi Goldberg’s planned Broadway revival fell victim to a lack of investors.  But Perry is forging ahead with the movie version of the play and will reunite with Jackson, who stars in his “Why Did I Get Married Too?” and Carey, who won critical acclaim for her role in “Precious.” He has also landed Goldberg for his project, in addition to The Last King of Scotland star Kerry Washington and singer Macy Gray.

Tyler himself also revealed that actresses Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington and Loretta Divine will also appear in the film, which appears to be star-studded so far, just as the rest of TP’s movies have been.
