The 2011 Soul Train Awards were held in Atlanta at the Fox Theater last Thursday night (Nov 17).

Hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, this year’s Soul Train Awards saw appearances from a variety of celebrities, including R&B singer Keri Hilson, model Amber Rose, actor Lance Gross, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tamar Braxton, our blogger friend Necole Bitchie (who won the award for Best Soul Site — CONGRATS!!), and many more.

The show also featured performances from Mindless Behavior, Common, Cee-Lo, Melanie Fiona, Robin Thicke, Eric Benet, Mary Mary, Gladys Knight, Lloyd, Miguel and a few others.

The Soul Train Awards also paid tribute to the late Heavy D midway through the ceremony with a touching video of the rapper accepting a Soul Train award for 1990′s “Big Time,” and performances from Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Kurtis Blow and Goodie Mob.

The 2011 Soul Train Awards will air next Sunday (Nov 27) at 9 pm on BET and Centric. Until then, check out over 30+ photos from the show and red carpet below!

Every year, actor/comedian Steve Harvey (pictured above with his wife Marjorie) honors the contributions of local business owners, religious and community leaders, churches and schools across the country in what he affectionately calls “The Hoodie Awards.” And the 8th Annual Hoodie Awards were held Saturday night (Aug 28) at in Las Vegas, NV.

Some of the celebrities who walked the red carpet before making their way into the Mandalay Bay Events Center were LisaRaye, Toya Carter, Tiny, new couple Michael Clarke Duncan & Omarosa (random! yes, we know), Victoria Rowell and more, while R&B singers Fantasia, Joe and Angie Stone each performed during the show later in the evening.

R&B singer Joe says he and Trey Songz didn’t get into a fight at Trey’s 25th birthday party at a club in NJ, and more importantly, they didn’t get into a fight over Tahiry. The crooner added that a fight could have broken out between an associate and VIP security, but he said he wasn’t there to witness it.

“First of all, I was not involved in a fight. Me and Trey Songz are real cool. We did a record on my last album. We did ‘We Need To Roll’ and, you know, I went to show support,” Joe told AllHipHop.com. “That’s my man. I heard he was going to be having a party that night and there was going to be a performance. Nothing happened between him and I.”

However, Joe did say that the fracas could have been from an associate, even though he had left the venue prior to the melee. “It could have been where my man had a problem with security just for a quick second and they were trying to clear the V.I.P. It was really, really crowded up there. It wasn’t anything like they didn’t want me there [or] they didn’t want the other guests there, like Tahiry. Everybody was cool.”

Joe said that an associate of his attempted to prevent a young lady from getting kicked out and that might have sparked the whole fracas. “So, security had him hemmed up in the corner and I told them. ‘That’s my man. He’s with me’ and [security] was like ‘Cool, no problem.’” Joe explained. After that, he said he left the club. “After that, I was bouncing, getting ready to leave anyway so I told Trey [I was leaving] and we made a couple of toasts with some Patron and then I left.”

The singer said that he could not fathom how attending an event under the auspice of support would result in widespread unconfirmed reports of a fight between friends. “Its just crazy…for it to go from us just hanging out to..maybe Trey got into a fight and people thinking it was me. Before anything popped off, I was already out of the building.”

Lastly, of the evening, Joe briefly dismissed that the ordeal could have been a lover’s quarrel over Tahiry. “I just met her that night for the first time. Its nothing going on between me and her and definitely no fights between me and Trey,” he concluded.

The 37-year-old singer just dropped a Christmas album titled Home Is The Essence of Christmas and it can be found on iTunes, and his 8th studio album Signature, which contains a bonus track titled “We Need to Roll” (f/ Trey Songz) was released over the summer.

Word on the sidewalk is Trey Songz‘ people and Joe‘s people got into a scuffle of some sort over the weekend at Trey’s 25th birthday bash, held at the 501 Lounge in New Jersey. Apparently Joe and Tahiry (Joe Buddens’ ex) showed up uninvited, which was all fine and dandy until the R&B singer and his crew sat down in the VIP section, where Trey was supposed be seated. So Trey’s people and Joe’s goons got into a fight once Trey got to his party and All Eyes On Who has the dirt!

R&B singer Joe came through Lounge 501 last night, but wasn’t a booked act. So naturally the club tried to accommodate him. Here’s the underlying drama, Joe was seated in Trey Songz section. Now Trey arrives and although everything appeared to be cool, Trey wasn’t that excited about Joe taking up his space. No one really wanted to let Joe know he had to move from that area (assuming because he had the gonnies with him). And Joe’s goons weren’t that excited about them being side eyed by Trey’s people! Joe’s goons got a lil roudy with Trey’s security and a small scuffle begin. And based on the looks of Joe’s camp they weren’t victorious. By this time, Joe’s people are being escorted out by Trey’s security looking a bit hurt, but the situation appears to be tamed. That’s when they turned back and attempted to finish what they started. Now Trey’s skinny ass gets involved and gets knocked down. And more so than Joe’s camp being involved, all the regular dudes were throwing punches and trying to get at him. They were trying to kick him and punch him. Eventually the situation was ceased and Joe’s camp left the building. In all the mayhem Trey and his camp left without a scratch. Joe’s camp on the other hand, not so much!

Save the club brawls for hip-hop, fellas. R&B doesn’t need this drama. And from the story above, it sounds like it was completely unnecessary and over some ol’ bullsh*t. R&B singers Ginuwine, Joe and Chico DeBarge performed Sunday afternoon (Jul 26) at the Central Park SummerStage concert series in New York City.

According to a review of the show, Ginuwine wasn’t able to offer his best performance due to him being hoarse after just wrapping up a promo tour for his new album, A Man’s Thoughts. But they say he made up for it in the end when he joined Joe and Chico for the show’s final segment, which was a tribute to Michael Jackson, and busted out the moonwalk during a performance of “Billie Jean.”
