The 2011 American Music Awards took place at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California last night (Sun. Nov 20).

MTV decided to switch things up and do something different this year by having an indoor red carpet black carpet for the VMAs.

Held at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles Sunday night (Aug 28), the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards featured black carpet appearances from several celebs, including Beyonce (who announced her pregnancy), Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kelly Rowland, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, and more.

The “blue carpet” of the 2011 Teen Choice Awards last night in L.A. was a huge melting pot of celebrities from all walks of life, with singers, rappers, actors, actresses, reality TV stars, internet sensations and more all posing for pics!

In a recent interview with MTV News, former kiddie pop rocker Joe Jonas spoke about his aspirations of touring with fellow singer Chris Brown.

“My dream list, wow … I mean, doing a tour with Chris would be cool,” Jonas said when asked who his ideal tour companion would be. He continued, “I feel like, musically, we both have the same sounds and we liked working together, so I can see it working.”

Brown recently helped Jonas pen his single “See No More’.” Of his first solo effort, 22-year-old Jonas explained, “It was scary in the beginning. Just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I’ve been in, you know, and what I look for in relationships”.

Not yet titled, Joe’s solo album is scheduled for a September 2011 release.

Maxim Magazine hosted their annual “Hot 100″ Party last Wednesday night (May 11) at Eden in Hollywood. And loads of A-listers, like Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson, Amber Rose and Melanie Fiona, all came out to party with attendees and a building full of hopefuls for next year’s “Hot 100″ list.

Some of the celebs who posed for pics on the KCA orange carpet before heading into the Galen Center were Willow & Jaden Smith, Kim & Kourtney Kardashian (and their younger sisters Kendall Jenner & Kylie Jenner), TeenNick chairman Nick Cannon, actresses/singers Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, rapper Snoop Dogg (and his family).

The live show, hosted by actor/comedian Jack Black, also featured performances from the Black Eyed Peas, Willow Smith and Big Time Rush (f/ Snoop Dogg).

Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas are no longer an item! According to PEOPLE, the couple have decided to call it quits.

“We can confirm they have parted ways and have no further comment,” reps for Greene and Jonas told the mag.

A close friend of the couple also confirmed the news … and credits both of their busy schedules for the break-up.

“They were apart a lot working. It was never that serious. It was a fun, five-month relationship. Don’t be too upset they have broken up — [Ashley and Joe] are not at all.”

Welp…it looks like that the single train has two new “happy” passengers on board!

Another Jonas Brother is ditching his much publicized purity ring for love! Joe Jonas is said to be heating things up with his new girlfriend Ashley Greene, and is rumored to have ditched his purity ring to have pre-marital sex with the “Twilight” actress.

Joe (who just celebrated his 21st birthday a few weeks ago) has been linked to other Hollywood starlets like Taylor Swift, Camille Belle and Demi Lovato, but things are looking pretty serious when it comes to Ashley Greene as she and the middle Jo Bro (sans his famed “purity ring”) have been spotted out on dates on numerous occasions.

“When they’re not traveling, they’re basically living together,” a source told Life & Style Magazine.

Joe and his brothers Nick and Kevin (who got married to his longtime girlfriend Danielle in December ’09) made headlines in 2008 when Russell Brand made fun of them at the VMAs for wearing purity rings to symbolize their commitment to abstain from sex and remain “pure” until marriage.

Joe and Ashley have been seen out and about together in random places like California, New Jersey and Lonon recently (since they started dating in July) and now that Joe has done away with his purity ring, there’s probably a good chance he’s seriously considering marriage. Either that, or he’s just ready to get out that whole squeaky clean Disney image of his and have a little fun now that he’s 21!

Most people GET gifts for their birthday….however actress Demi Lovato totally flipped the script and on her 18th birthday GAVE her family one of the biggest gifts a child could ever give to her family…..a HOUSE!

The Disney star decided to celebrate her big day by giving back in a big way to her family, who has unconditionally supported her throughout her career, and handed them the keys to a brand new Mediterranean style home she purchased outside of Los Angeles.

At her birthday party Thursday night (Aug 19) at Buddakan in New York City, the young actress told People.com:

“I just bought a house! … For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present.” Lovato also plans to live on the property, in a house in the backyard.

“It’s got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it,” she says. “It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it.” And, as a bonus, “the pool has a water slide, which is really cool,” she says.

The middle Jonas brother, Joe Jonas, plans to take his acting chops to TV Land‘s hit sitcom “Hot In Cleveland” to play a role as Valerie Bertinelli‘s that could possible set him up as a reccurring guest-star. But for right now, Joe has only signed on for one episode of the series, which has already been renewed for another season.

Joe is no stranger to the actor world though. His acting credits include a Dinsey Channel movie called “Camp Rock” along with he and his brother’s Disney series “J.O.N.A.S.” and “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” (the sequel for “Camp Rock”) which is set to premiere sometime this summer.

Joe’s first guest starring episode on “Hot in Cleveland” will premiere in August. No word just yet on if he’ll have any steamy love scenes with leading lady Betty White. Pause.

The annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner was held over the weekend (Sat. May 1) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. This year’s dinner featured comedian Jay Leno and was attended by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

In an effort to raise money for Haitian earthquake relief, a gang of singers, rappers, producers, musicians and other celebrities showed up at Jim Henson Studios yesterday (Mon. Feb 1) in Hollywood to record “We Are the World 25 Years for Haiti,” a remake of Michael Jackson‘s famous “We Are the World” song, which raised at least $30 million for African humanitarian programs 25 years ago.

Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie came together and rounded up folks like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jennifer Hudson, Wyclef Jean, Jamie Foxx, Justin Bieber, LL Cool J, Usher, Keri Hilson, Brandy and a ton of other celebrities to lay down vocals and instrumentals for the charity single.

Danielle, who was escorted down the aisle by her father Thomas Deleasa, wore a strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown and also put on a silk-and-crystal flower in her hair designed by Denise Leli. Celebrity event planner Michael Russo designed a fairytale, winter wonderland theme for the wedding with snow falling throughout heated white tent coverings. Guests dined on a menu filled with Caribbean, Asian and Italian cuisine.

The wedding was decked out 14-foot trees covering hydrangeas and crystals giving the illusion of icicles.  Cherishing a past moment when the couple met in 2007, Danielle wore a silk and crystal flower in her hair. The couple exchanged traditional wedding vows and bands that were designed originally for each other by Jacob & Co.

“We’re so happy that we’re finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones,” the newly-married couple told People.

“Kevin has said many times he feels like he met his princess,” the event planner said. “To see them together you can feel the warmth and the love all around them. They are just perfect for each other.”

Rapper LL Cool J hosted the 2010 Live Grammy Nominations concert Wednesday night (Dec 2) at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The event was televised live on CBS, the same network responsible for airing the 2010 Grammys on January 31st.

Tonight was CBS’s primer for the first award show of the 2010 season. The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will air on January 31st at the Staples Center. It was pretty obvious from the start that CBS just needed to fill an hour and must be sponsors of The Black Eyed Peas. The pop group co-hosted. LL Cool J started things off with a great rap, then BEP took over with “I Gotta Feeling” (which we got to hear in the background throughout the concert).

Ever since Kanye West temporarily stole her shine at this years VMAs, it seems like Taylor Swift‘s stock has shot up a bit. Hell, we’re not even going to lie. She’s generated some interest amongst us over here at Gossip On This too. Let’s be real now. Trust and believe if Mr. West hadn’t snatched that mic out of her hand a lot of people who are checking for her today wouldn’t even be given her a second thought right about now.

The young country music/pop star hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live over the weekend and opened up the show with a pretty funny song she wrote called the “Monologue Song (La La La).” In the short melodic parody, Swift took some shots at her ex boyfriend Joe Jonas, “douchebags who cheat on her,” and her new friend (sarcasm, people) Kanye.
