President Barack Obama paid a visit to “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday night (Apr 24) and joined the host for a special installment of “Slow Jamming the News,” a running skit on the late-night TV show.

If you’re not familiar with slow jamming the news, the segment’s name pretty much speaks for itself.

In front of a live audience filled with college students at the University of North Carolina, President Obama talked about student loans while Jimmy Fallon‘s house band The Roots provided the slow, sensual, blues-inspired background music.

“What we’ve said is simple: now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people,” Obama said with the music providing a velvet smooth background.

Fallon responded (in his best Barry White voice), “Awww yeah, you should listen to The President, or as I like to call him, ‘The Preezy of the United Steezy.”

Obama played it cool throughout the jam session and didn’t crack a smile even as Fallon joked, “The Barackness monster ain’t buyin it.”

“The GOP is steady sayin’ ‘no, no, no,’ they should find something new to do like Tim Tebow,” sang Roots frontman Tariq Trotter.

The president also sat down with Fallon and discussed higher education, and talked more in depth about his plans to keep student loan interest rates down. He also talked about life in the White House and answered questions from Twitter.

Madonna sat down with comedian Jimmy Fallon over the weekend for an interview that was streamed live to her Facebook fans from Facebook’s New York City office.

During the interview, the Pop diva talked about her new album “MDNA” and also showed Jimmy Fallon some dirty dance moves as her songs “Girl Gone Wild” and “Gang Bang” played in the background.

Fallon also asked Madonna why she chose to collaborate with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for her first single “Give Me All Your Luvin,” and she replied simply, “because they’re bad a** bitches!”

Madonna is set to do another interview with Twitter Monday night (Mar 26).

In promotion of his new film “Good Deeds,” Tyler Perry made a recent appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
While on the show, Perry announced a new Madea play called “Madea Gets a Job,” and talked about performing live shows, providing free auditions on the web, and once convincing Oprah to board his private plane.

Tyler also took Jimmy up on a game of remote-control fish.

Tyra Banks is enjoying the college life.

The model turned media mogul made an appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” yesterday evening….and spoke on attending Harvard Business School.

Banks admitted to at first being hesitant about the living requirements on campus, which makes it mandatory for all students to stay in a dorm. But as time went by … she eventually adapted to having to share a living room, kitchen, and study area with her college roommates. (Which is quite normal to the rest of us)

Now every time a term ends, the 31 year-old says that she misses everyone and everything back at school … even her dorm room.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s like summer camp. Every time a term ends, I get withdrawal … I miss my friends. I miss my professors. I miss living in these dorms.”

It’s a boy!

Actress Ali Larter revealed last night (Thurs. Sep 9) during a visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” that she is pregnant with a baby boy after Jimmy Fallon asked her to choose between a pink or blue onesie upon her arrival on the show.

“Ohhhh! I was trying to keep it private … but we’re having a boy!” Larter, who’s expecting her first child with husband Hayes MacArthur, cheered. “I have a little penis inside of me!”

In response, Fallon couldn’t help but throw out a running Office joke, quipping, “That’s what she said!” And while Larter, 34, is enjoying this “amazing … exciting time,” she admits her newly enhanced sense of smell has been a bit debilitating. “I go through the cheese aisle and I’m like, ‘Noooo!’ All the stinky ones,” she laughs.

TV personalities Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian posed for pics together on the Red Carpet at the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards, held Sunday evening in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater. Apparently their arrival as a duo was changed at the last minute due to a wardrobe malfunction Kim experienced prior to stepping out on the red carpet. She said didn’t get to make her “live hit” with sister Kourtney because of a problem with her zipper but was able to make it to the show on time and called it “an amazing experience.”

Writing on her official blog, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star admitted that a zipper on her white dress by Ina Soltani broke while she was en route to the ceremony.

“I had a major fashion emergency… My entire zipper ripped! It just popped!” she explained. “I freaked out and called my stylist Monica who was at the Emmys waiting for me with a needle and thread to sew up my entire dress! ”
