
R&B songwriter turned singer Keri Hilson performed on stage Tuesday night (Oct 27) during Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ.
Fellow singer Mario, who was later joined on the stage by rapper Jim Jones, also performed some of his hits at the live concert, which also saw performances from Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Fabolous, The Dream and Day 26.

In an effort to motivate New York’s youth to stay in school, big names like Russell Simmons, Keri Hilson and Jim Jones participated in the 4th annual “Stay in School” pep rally & concert Tuesday night (Oct 27) in New York City.

The 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards went down in Atlanta, GA Saturday (Oct 10). We hear Jay-Z and Young Jeezy opened the show in a big way with a surprise performance! Other tidbits from the show include the late DJ AM being the recipient of the “DJ of the Year” award, Kid & Play popping up during New Boyz‘ performance and Gucci Mane performing like 3 or 4 times. The show also featured performances from Soulja Boy, Ludacris, Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg and more.

Jim Jones and Dame Dash showed off their newfound bromance at the 10th New York International Latino Film Festival screening of “Red Apples Falling” Thursday night (Jul 30) at the SVA Theater in New York City.
When did these two get so tight? Maybe they’re both filling in the void their former best friends left behind. Jim fell out with Cam’ron, and Dame and Jay-Z aren’t cool anymore either. Birds of a feather flock together, huh?

Jim Jones used the increasingly popular micro-blogging service known as Twitter to keep his followers & fans updated on his ordeal with 5-0. No, not wack ass 50 Cent either. 5-0 as in the cops. The Dipset Capo was arrested Monday morning on an oustanding warrant for a traffic violation in Teaneck, NJ. He was initially stopped for an equipment violation, reports AP, but after searching through his records, police discovered he had an oustanding warrant from the nearby town of Paterson. That’s when they took him into custody, where he let his fans know what was up via his Twitter account:
