The 31-year-old fashion mogul, who is expecting her first child with her fiance of nearly 1 year Eric Johnson, accented her outfit with a pair of ridiculously tall black stripper pumps and a huge black purse.

Jessica and Eric are expected to welcome their child sometime in the spring.

In one of the corniest pregnancy reveals ever, Jessica Simpson finally confirmed that she is with child, something everyone has known for some time now.

Dressed up for Halloween as a mummy, Simpson shared on her official website Monday (Oct 31):

“It’s true! I am going to be a mummy!”

Rumors about the singer turned fashion designer being pregnant have swirled for weeks after photos surfaced of her trying to hide a growing baby bump at the airport.

The 31-year-old fashion mogul was also recently photographed in tight clothing showing off what appeared to be a baby bump in New York City.

This will be the first child for Jessica Simpson and her fiancee of nearly 1 year Eric Johnson.

Jessica and Eric confirmed their engagement last November coincidentally just days after Nick Lachey (Jessica’s ex husband) announced his engagement to now wife Vanessa Minillo.

After several weeks of speculation regarding Jessica Simpson‘s rumored pregnancy, a source close to the singer turned fashion designer and her fiance Eric Johnson tells Radar Online that the pair are on the verge of announcing the big news to the world.

“It’s still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans. But she has begun telling family and friends the exciting news.”

Jessica’s future father-in-law Stephen Johnson played coy when asked about the pregnancy.

“I haven’t heard anything,” Stephen said. “Is she pregnant? I better give them a call if she is!”

Simpson and Johnson are expected to go public with the news in a magazine exclusive.

Rumors of Jessica Simpson being pregnant were sparked when she was spotted in Mexico wearing a leopard print cover-up, which led speculation that she was hiding a baby bump.

Simpson also turned down a glass of champagne at Johnson’s 32nd birthday party recently.

Despite the baby on the way (Jessica is due in the Spring), the couple still plan on marrying this November as planned.

Jessica Simpson is going to protect her $1 billion dollar fashion empire at all costs!

A close source tells US Magazine that Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson will be signing a prenuptial agreement.

“There will definitely be a prenup. Jessica has said she wants one. Jessica and Eric have talked about it.”

The source also revealed that Eric is fully supportive of the prenup and isn’t the money greedy type, contrary to tabloid reports.

“[Eric] understands that there needs to be a prenup. He’s supportive of it. He really loves her. He’s a low key guy. He’s not into the glitz and materialism of Hollywood at all.”

In a recent interview, the pop diva told SIRIUS XM’s The Morning Mash Up that her fiance Eric Johnson popped the question while she was watching an episode of NBC‘s “Parenthood.”

“He got down on his knee and I had to sit down on it because I was so shocked. I was … short of breath. It was definitely one of those moments where I’ve never felt that way before, ever.”

Simpson also went on to add that her hubby-to-be went out his way to make sure she didn’t find out about the proposal…….and even hid the engagement ring in his shoe.

“He had the ring in his shoe at my house somewhere. I was like: Why hide it in a shoe? But it worked. I had no idea.”

Yesterday, the Dukes of Hazzard star was spotted out on the Italian island of Capri celebrating her birthday weekend with her new boo former NFL player Eric Johnson. This marks the same day she was dumped by Dallas Cowboy’s QB Tony Romo hours before her 29th birthday (which is today) last year.

However this time around, it appears Jessica has things a lot more together.

Nick Lachey just broke up with his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo and Jessica Simpson just broke up with her boyfriend Tony Romo. So for all you rocket scientists out there, the two of them are conveniently single. But according to Nick himself, you shouldn’t get your hopes up for a “Newlyweds” reunion:

“I think it’s fun storytelling, but there’s very little truth to any of it,” the singer told PEOPLE at a party at Dusk at the Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City Saturday night. “I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I’ve always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say.”

He also spoke on his break-up with Vanessa but didn’t seem to torn up about it:

“I’m in a good place,” he said. “I’ve learned, through years of not only being in this business, but being in relationships, that you have to take it as it goes.
