R&B singer Jennifer Hudson performed on NBC’s “Today Show” Friday morning at the Rockefeller Center in New York City.
The former American Idol hopeful performed “Spotlight” and “If This Isn’t Love,” her hit singles from her current self-titled album in stores now. She also performed “And I Am Telling You,” a song she resurrected and made famous again, with some singer named Melissa in front of the live studio audience, who watched the performances from outdoors in the streets of Manhattan.

Jennifer Hudson may be ready for wedding bells, but she’s not ready for the sweet smell of dirty diapers and similac just yet. According to a rep for the former American Idol there is absolutely “no no no no way” that she’s pregnant right now.
Jennifer Hudson – the only American Idol star to boast both an Oscar and a Grammy Award – is definitely not pregnant, according to her rep, who says there’s “no no no no way” that the rumor is true. The rumor gathered support after Essence published the story, saying that they had confirmed the news “through two sources close to [Hudson].”
If the rumors were true, this would be the first child for Hudson and fiance, Harvard Law graduate David Otugna. The singer, who is currently on tour with Robin Thicke, has yet to reveal the wedding date.

Ja Rule was giddy as a mutha as he performed at the Grand Opening of Float and 207 at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego Friday. Homeboy must be ecstatic to finally be collecting a check … that is, if he didn’t do this event for free. Let’s be real now. These days, who’d put up good money for a Ja Rule performance or appearance? We are in a recession, after all.
Singer Jennifer Hudson dropped by the Oprah show this past Friday (Feb. 27th) to chat with the famous (understatement, we know) talk-show host and perform on the show in one of her first performances since her Fall 2008 tragedy when her estranged brother-in-law shot and killed her mother, brother and young nephew.
When Oprah asked her how she was, she responded stating that she was in a “very good place” and was just excited to be back at work performing and doing what she loves to do.
“I’m good, I’m really good. I’m just glad to be back and glad to be working and just doing what I love to do, you know? It’s like therapy.”
