Ice-T ain’t really feelin’ Hip-Hop these days … but what’s new?

During a recent interview with VH1, the 53-year-old actor gave his opinion on rapper Rick Ross, the current state of Hip-Hop, and how rappers — like Rick Ross for instance — are not being 100% real in their rhymes.

On Rick Ross:
“That’s fake. Rick Ross stole a n—-’s name. I call him ‘Identity Crisis.’ He thinks he’s [Freeway] Rick Ross, he thinks he’s Larry Hoover, he thinks he’s Big Meech, he thinks he’s MC Hammer, he thinks he’s Tupac. Like, who the f*ck are you really, dude?”

On Rap Turning Pop:
“Rap is pop right now. Q-Tip said, ‘Rap is not pop. If you call it that, then stop.’ Rap was a counterculture that went against pop. But when you have Rihanna singin’ on your records and you’re doin’ records with Katy Perry, that’s no longer rap. It’s pop music, pop using rap delivery. When you hear Lil Wayne sayin’ ‘I got a chopper in the car,’ you go, ‘Yeah, right you do.’”

On Drawing the Line Between Sharing Harsh Realities & Glamorizing Criminal Behavior:
“I don’t draw a line, I just try to tell the truth. If you tell the truth, it’s gonna have a pro side and a con side. So I try to tell the full story, not just the story of when the hustler’s winning, but the trials and tribulations of the s–t he goes through. The only line that’s drawn is that you don’t use real names, you don’t wanna dry snitch yourself out. Why would I give authority a shovel to bury me, why am I gonna rap about something that’s really happening?[...]When we rapped about dope— me, Snoop and everybody—it was like we doin’ it because we GOT to. Now these n—– is actin’ like it’s somethin’ that’s FUN. It’s so easy to fantasize about it. To actively do it? That’s a whole ‘nother f–kin’ thing.”

Hey … at least he’s not beefing with Soulja Boy anymore!

Ice T was nothing short of stunned when he heard his 2008 nemesis Soulja Boy was remaking the Tupac classic movie, “Juice”.

During a recent interview on Shade45 Radio, he surprisingly said:

“What? But that’s Pac… At some point, somebody gotta stop it. I came out. I made some statements. Man, I don’t know. Do you, dude, do you. If the masses accept it, it shows you the state we’re in… Come on man, you think I’d try to remake Pac’s movie?”

Way back in 2008, the rappers exchanged some harsh criticism towards each other which was initiated by Ice T, when he disparaged the young rapper’s credentials. And just like the last incident, The “Crank That” rapper has come back with some fighting words for the OG.

He tweeted:

“I’m done with this n—a. someone get this guy a hairline asap. If your name is Ice-T you are #losing not #winning better yet you #lost”

“Ice-T I tell you what bring your dirty ass to atlanta and do a show if you don’t get booed off stage I will top hoeing you. until then u lame”

“Ice-T need to sit his old ass down n**** always got my name in his mouth damn bra nobody care what you think bruh”

Ice T of course responded back and had a few words to say of his own.

“Hip Hop is so wack that blog n—az try to start beef over nothin.. Come on son”

“For the record..I ain’t thinkin bout none of this rap GOSSIP bullshit.S–t is corny. Hip Hop! Talk about the music..not manufactured drama.”

We think it’s safe to say that a 2008 rematch is on the cards!

The E! Network will just about give anybody or anything a show these days.

This time around, the network has signed up rapper/actor Ice T and his voluptuous wife of 10 years, Coco.

According to various report,  the pair will be coming out with their own show entitled “Ice Loves Coco”, which will focus on the couples’ professional and personal relationships.

A representative for the pair has said:

“He feels it is time for his buxom and bootylicious bride Coco to take her career to the next level and he is there to support her every step of the way. They are a very traditional couple, wrapped in a very non-traditional package”.

The show is slated to premiere on June 12th at 10.30pm on the E! Network.

Rapper turned actor Ice-T is refuting reports that he was arrested Tuesday (Jul 20) for driving on a suspended license.

The “Law & Order: SVU” star (who once wrote a song about killing cops when he was a rapper) lashed out on Twitter against the police allegations later that day and is a adamant that he hasn’t broken any rules and believes that authorities are wrong. Why? Because he says his license from his home state of New Jersey is blemish free.

“That (suspended license) is some bulls**t they made up… Lie. For the record… My license is not suspended. I don’t and never had a NYC licence. I have a valid NJ licence. It was all bulls**t.”

Ice-T (real name: Tracy Morrow) said that he and his wife Coco were on their way to take their dog to the vet when he was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt. Cops then arrested Morrow on charges related to him being banned from driving and he was booked and later released.

Shortly after his release, that’s when the rapper/actor took to his Twitter:

“Some punk b**ch rookie cop named Fisher #10026 Made the arrest of his bulls**t career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt.”

Wear your seat-belt next time and you won’t have to deal with stuff like this! Just a thought…

Rapper/actor Ice-T was arrested earlier today (July 20) in New York City. The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt. According to TMZ, he was processed and released from the 10th Precinct in Chelsea shortly after the incident.

Just one question though: How are you gonna get arrested for a suspended license and you play an NYPD detective on TV? Shouldn’t you know some form of the law? (LOL) Just saying though… Not a good look Ice-T!

Ice T‘s wife Coco and former G-Unit singer Olivia attended the Strength Through Unity Haitian Relief Benefit at Crimson Monday night (Jan 18) in New York City.

Wiki says Olivia announced in 2009 that she signed a recording contract with Universal Records and her official second studio album Alone With You is scheduled to be released sometime this year. The album’s lead single “Take It Off” leaked back in September 2009 and was well received by fans.
