Hilary Duff is officially a mommy! The 24-year-old singer/actress and her husband, retired hockey player Mike Comrie, welcomed a son they named Luca Cruz last Tuesday (Mar 20).

On Thursday (Mar 22) Duff confirmed the news via her Twitter page:

Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy.

She continued, “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world. He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”

The next day (Fri. Mar 23), the new mom once again took to her Twitter to gush about her newborn son:

Wow I can’t believe I have a baby!the most wonderful,sweet,adorable baby!thank you all for the messages and well wishes!love you all so much

The happily married couple tied the knot around this time last year (a year ago from today, to be exact), and in a new blog entry posted to her official website, Duff reflected on her 1-year anniversary and revealed the news that she and her husband are having their first baby together.

“Hello everyone! This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary! In memory of the special day, we decided to post some of our favourite pictures from our wedding! I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years.”

29-year-old pop sensation Britney Spears and her boyfriend Jason Trawick walked the red carpet as they shared hosting duties at An Evening of “Southern Style” presented by the St. Bernard Project & the Spears family at a private residence in Beverly Hills  this past Wednesday (May 11). This is a rare occurrence for Spears, who has strayed away from red carpet appearances in recent years, choosing to keep a low profile since her very public meltdown a few years back.

According to USA Today, Spears’ reassurance on the red carpet was extra special as she brought along her 39 year-old beau Jason Trawick. Although there have been numerous paparazzi photos of the couple together, the event marked the first time that the pair attended a red carpet as a couple since they started dating. Brit rocked a bright green dress and loose, flowing locks, while Jason looked quite at home by his lady’s side in front of the cameras.

Things have really come around full circle for Brit wouldn’t you say? Keep it up girl!

Actress/singer Hilary Duff, who’s recently been rumored to be pregnant, was out shopping at Neimann-Marcus in Los Angeles in workout attire today (Tue. Jan 19).

Hilary not only sent out a few texts to Billy Bush of Access Hollywood denying this rumor today, she also took to her Twitter to let the world know directly from her that this is false.

Hilary Duff was in Glendale, California on Wednesday (Dec 1) to sign copies of her new book “Elixir” at Borders. The former Disney star is proving she can not only sing and act, but she’s also a successful business woman who’s launched her own fragrance lines and now ventures into the role of being an author.

The book is about character Clea Raymond, who is a photojournalist. Her father disappears and suddenly mysterious images start to appear in her photos, which lead her to finding tragic scenes. However, she cannot piece together her father’s puzzle until she meets a young man in Colombia whom she feels a strong connection to and they both start to race against time to unravel their pasts in order to save their futures and their lives. Former Disney star Hilary Duff tied the knot with her fiance Mike Comrie Saturday (Aug 14th) at a small ceremony in Santa Barbara.

The couple exchanged vows at sunset in front of 100 close family members and friends. Hilary wore a strapless mermaid gown by Vera Wang with her hair in a bun. According to one source, the wedding was absolutely stunning!

“It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. Absolutely stunning. They thought of every last detail and it was an incredible sight.”

Hilary Duff is all grown up!!

According to Radar Online, the former Disney Star will be walking down the aisle tonight (Sat. Aug 14) with her fiance, hockey player Mike Comrie!

The two are rumored to be tying the knot at the San Ysido Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, the same lady who has worked with other Hollywood stars such as Jessica Simpson and Adam Sandler will be organizing the event.

Hilary’s sister Haylie Duff is expected to be her maid of honor.

Actress/singer Hilary Duff can now add “children’s author” to her resume as news was announced today that she has signed a multi-book deal with Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. AP says the publishing company will work alongside the actress on a series of young adult novels that starts with “Elixir,” to be published in October of this year. Her first novel will feature the worldwide adventures of photojournalist Clea Raymond.

The 20-year-old star also plans to write a non-fiction book about children coping with divorce, scheduled for release sometime 2012. Duff has written about her own parents’ separation in the songs “Stranger” and “Gypsy Woman.”

Speaking on her recent engagement to hockey player Matt Comrie, Hilary’s older sister Haylie said:

“She was completely surprised,” she said. “I don’t think that happens all the time. I think most of the time people figure it out or have some idea that it’s going to happen, and I think it’s great he was able to do a surprise like that for her.”

Actress Hilary Duff used her head (literally) to express her gratitude to her boyfriend fiance hockey player Mike Comrie for presenting her with a diamond engagement ring worth over $1 million. E! was told that the expensive piece of jewelry is a 14 karat princess cut with side stones.
