Just in case you didn’t already know….50 Cent is rich. Mega rich. So rich, in fact, that he likes to show it off from time to time.

While in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show to promote his new headphones, 50 Cent also posted a series of pictures of himself with his good friend, boxer Floyd Mayweather, posing with wads and wads (and more wads) of cash in his hotel room.

“I was thinking I could make a lot of money one day. Then I got mad cause some chumps was hatin on me,” 50 tweeted. “So I joined a gang lol THE MONEY TEAM my home boy got some hands and I got da heat. Lol,” 50 said, in reference to his pal ‘Money Mayweather.’

“We made it mom top of the world!!!!.( James cagney voice) lol,” read another tweet from the rapper, who is worth a reported $250 million.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time 50 Cent has tastelessly flaunted his wealth on Twitter. Back in November 2010, the rapper posted pictures of himself playing around with $500,000 worth of cash money.

We get it 50, you’re rich! No need to show it off.

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has stepped up to Floyd Mayweather‘s challenge, saying that he is willing to fight the undefeated boxer this May!

Mayweather recently used his Twitter account to call Pacquiao out, telling the Filipino boxer to “Step up Punk.”

“Manny Pacquiao I’m calling you out, let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see,” Mayweather tweeted. “My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk.”

According to ABS-CBN, Pacquiao’s advisor Michael Koncz said that the fighting congressman with go head-to-head with his famous rival “Money Mayweather” at the end of May, instead of May 5th.

“Be your own boss Floyd and fight at the end of May, for the economic reason of earning the extra income from the bigger stadium… the earliest this can be constructed is the end of May,” Koncz said in a text message to an ABS-CBN reporter.

Pacquiao himself confirmed through a separate text message that he is willing to fight Mayweather at the end of May.

The “bigger stadium” that Koncz referred to is an outdoor stadium that can seat 45,000 to 50,000 people. Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum said in a previous interview that holding the fight at the temporary stadium will mean a difference of around $40 million.

If the Pacquiao-Mayweather mega-fight is held on May 5, it will most likely be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which seats around 16,500 people.

“In order to maximize revenue for the fight, you have to have a stadium larger than 16,500,” Arum said. “The (temporary stadium) wouldn’t be ready with any degree of certainty in the beginning of May. It would be available at the end of May.”

“If we do it on May 5, we would be limited pretty much to the MGM Grand, and we would probably do a gate of $20 million, a record gate. If we did it in this new temporary arena for 45,000 people, we would do a gate of around $60 million.”

“The difference is a minimum of $40 million. It’s an extra $20 million for each fighter… That’s still a lot of money,” Arum said. — Report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News.

Of course Floyd would have to get “permission” from the judge presiding over his case before he commits to anything, but it looks like the fight is on!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has finally stepped up to the plate and challenged Manny Pacquiao to fight him once and for all.

Mayweather sent out a message via Twitter just moments ago telling Manny that his jail sentence has been pushed back….leaving them the ability to give boxing fans what they have been waiting for on May 5th!

Manny is currently in the Philippines and hasn’t responded back to Mayweather’s impromptu challenge just yet.

But we’re pretty sure he will as soon as he gets a chance to!

Are you ready to finally see Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquio fight?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was supposed to turn himself in Friday (Jan 6) to begin his 90-day jail sentence on charges stemming from an assault on his ex girlfriend/baby mama. However a judge has agreed to postpone to the pro boxer’s jail sentence so that he can train for a May 5th fight against a currently unnamed opponent.

The Associated Press reported yesterday that several of Floyd’s famous friends — including “#MoneyTeam” members Ray J and Lil Kim — were at the court house to support the boxer.

Sources close to Lil Kim told TMZ that she and Floyd “have become really close friends,” and Kim has put her career on hold, canceling recent New Year’s Eve appearances and pushing her holiday album’s release back, just so that she could be there for Mayweather while he awaits his sentence.

“Money Mayweather” now has until June 1st to turn himself in, thanks to Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa ruling, which came after Mayweather’s defense lawyer cited the economic boost that Las Vegas could get from the Cinco de Mayo fight, AP reported.

The lawyer estimated that Mayweather’s last seven fights in Las Vegas brought in at least $1 billion in gross revenue to the community. He predicts that the May 5th fight will bring in over $100 million.

It was rumored that Floyd Mayweather would finally use May 5th as a chance to fight his archenemy Manny Pacquiao, the wildly popular 33-year-old boxer who is considered to best in the world, next to Mayweather of course.

However Pacquio’s promoter Bob Arum has reportedly shot those rumors down, saying that there have been no recent discussions to stage a fight between Mayweather and Pacquio.

Meanwhile, Mayweather’s manager Leonard Ellerbe told news reporters that his opponent’s would be announced as early as next week.

“We’ll make an announcement about who we’re going to fight next week. We just came out of the … court hearing. Give us a chance to catch our breath,” Ellerbe said.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will spend up to 90 days in jail after he pled guilty to reduced battery domestic violence and harassment charges stemming from an assault on his ex girlfriend (who is also the mother of his children) back in September 2010.

According to reports, Mayweather was accused of punching and threatening his ex-girlfriend, and threatening their two children, during a heated argument. He could have faced up to 34 years in prison, however Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa gave Mayweather a much lighter sentence as a part of a plea deal.

“He just continually gets himself into trouble and he is able to get himself out of it as well,” Judge Saragosa said. “Essentially it is because he is who he is and is able to get away with everything. The only thing that’s going to get this man’s attention is incarceration.”

In addition to 90 days in jail, Mayweather was also sentenced to 100 hours of community service, and he was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine, and he must enroll in a 12-month domestic violence program.

If the professional boxer fails to obey the terms of the agreement, he will be forced to serve yet another 3 months behind bars. He must turn himself into Las Vegas’ Clark County Detention Center on January 6th 2012.

According to a brand new report from abs-cbnnews.com, Mayweather could be a free man after just 60 days (instead of 90) if he behaves himself in prison.

“Good behavior and work time could knock up to 30 days off Mayweather’s sentence,” detention officer Bill Cassell said.

In what many are considering a “controversial win,” pro boxer Floyd Mayweather claimed the WBC welterweight title after (literally) knocking Victor Ortiz OUT at the end of the fourth round of the big Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight in Las Vegas Saturday night (Sep 17).

After a quiet opening, the fight burst into life in the fourth round with Ortiz getting Mayweather on the ropes without quite being able to find a decisive blow. Just before the bell Ortiz had Mayweather on the ropes for a third time, only to be penalized for a head-butt.

The 24-year-old then seemed to be apologizing and was not protecting himself as Mayweather landed two punches – the second a big right hand – to end the fight. [DM]

Immediately after the fight, Mayweather got into another fight — a non-physical one, of course — with HBO reporter Larry Merchant after Merchant tried to press the championship boxer about his controversial victory.

“You never give me a fair shake. HBO needs to fire you, you don’t know sh*t about boxing! You ain’t sh*t!” Mayweather shouted at the 80-year-old HBO sports commentator, who responded back by saying “I wish I was 50 years younger and I’d kick your ass!” with a smart chuckle.

Speaking at a press conference following the fight, Mayweather continued to explain his side of the story.

“I was always told to protect yourself at all times,” he said. “My mouth was split open. I said keep it clean. Once you touch gloves, it is go time. We came together to fight. It is fight time.”

He continued, “You want to do me dirty and then two minutes later you want to be my friend? This is the hurting business. Without the fourth round, he was going to get knocked out anyway. I was fighting stronger. I was keeping my composure and sticking to the game plan.”

“Floyd Mayweather isn’t ducking and dodging anybody. If he wants it, he can have a rematch,” Mayweather confidently stated, offering a rematch.

For his part, Ortiz said of headbutting his opponent Floyd Mayweather: “I fouled Floyd, I apologised in the ring and apologised after the fight as well. I would really like the rematch. I thought the ref (Joe Cortez) called a break and I am pretty sure he did and then I was like ‘whoa, whoa,’ and then I woke up after.”

After this weekend’s win in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather currently holds an unbeaten record of 42 fights.

Now that that’s out of the way … what about that Manny Pacquiao fight Mayweather??? (LOL!)

What’s wrong with Floyd Mayweather? The ridiculously wealthy boxer was charged with two counts of misdemeanor harassment in Las Vegas today. The charges stem from an incident last year in which he allegedly threatened to have two security guards shot after they ticketed his vehicles.

According to  TMZ, last October, Mayweather is alleged to have said to the guards, “My homies have guns! If you want me to call them, they’d come over here and take care of you! These are my f**king cars! Don’t touch my f**king cars!”

Really Floyd??? Guns over parking tickets?? And then they wonder why our black athletes have such a bad rep … SMH!

This past Tuesday night (April 12), a few celebrities flooded Madison Square Garden in New York City for the Knicks vs. Bulls game.

The beautiful Kelly Rowland was in attendance alongside La La Vazquez-Anthony who was there to watch her hubby Carmelo hoop it up. Also in the building were Spike Lee, Swizz Beatz, Floyd Mayweather, Whoopi Goldberg and Vanessa Williams.

Mayweather was just hit with a $3.4 million bill, reports the Detroit News, who discovered that the lien was for unpaid 2009 federal income taxes.

This isn’t the undefeated fighter’s first time in the ring with the government. In 2008, Floyd was hit with a $6.1 million tax bill. But he eventually worked out a payment plan with the feds for that one.

Mayweather, who goes by the nickname Money, tweeted and did a radio interview last month about winning $37,000 on a Chicago Bulls game (it was a legal bet in Vegas). Hopefully he’ll remember to report that when he does his 2011 taxes.

When thinking of 50 Cent the saying “Go big, or go home!” often comes to mind, and we all know he will never go home as he always does things big! And for his homie Floyd Mayweather Jr. he went LARGE!

According to TheUrbanDaily.com, the G-Unit general splashed out on a $300,000 brand spanking new Rolls Royce for Mayweather’s 34th birthday this past weekend. But unfortunately for 50, another friend surpassed him in the gift department and went HUGE by gifting Floyd with a $1.5 million dollar watch.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. just isn’t getting along with the security guards in his neighborhood.

According to TMZ, Mayweather went ballistic on a guard last weekend after the guard didn’t recognize him entering his own Las Vegas home. When asked to show ID to get inside the community…….the boxer started screaming:

“Let me in my mother f**king house!!! You know who I am man … let me in my house!!!”

He continued:

“Stop giving me a hard time … you don’t give Maloof a hard time … you don’t ask him for ID when he comes.”

Mayweather also made reference to a previous incident in which he was accused of poking another security guard in the face.

“I had a problem here before when the security lied and said I touched him and I didn’t!”

Eventually, Floyd got out of the car, opened the gate himself, hopped back into his whip, and went on his way. Watch footage of the incident below:

Floyd Mayweather is back behind bars again….

The boxing champion was arrested in Las Vegas last night after a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly assaulting a security guard. As we previously reported, a security guard claims that Floyd poked him in the face when he confronted him about a parking ticket. (Seriously???)

According to TMZ, a totally different security guard noticed Mayweather at a casino on the strip yesterday and called the police. Floyd is still in custody at the moment.

He could face a maximum of 6 months in jail if convicted.

Now this is just crazy and pointless!! SMH…

Just when we thought things were settling down for him…….Floyd Mayweather is back into some drama again!!

Floyd Mayweather has been charged with criminal battery in Nevada for allegedly — and this is serious — poking a man in the cheekbone with his finger.

TMZ has obtained the criminal complaint — in which cops say a private security officer named Shayne Smith told officers Mayweather went ballistic outside of his Las Vegas home on November 15 after Smith placed parking citations on two of Floyd’s cars.

According to the documents, Smith alleges Mayweather screamed that the guard had “no f*cking business” touching his personal property — before the boxer grabbed a citation from one of his cars and slapped it on Smith’s patrol vehicle.

The document continues, “While lambasting Smith, Mayweather was allegedly jabbing his finger into the left side of Smith’s cheek just below his eye. This willful and unlawful use of force and violence upon Smith caused redness and discoloration to the area which was battered by Mayweather.”

Smith claims he drove out of the area to “de-escalate” the situation, immediately notified his boss … and then took photos of his bruised up cheek.

So far, no comment from Floyd’s camp.

This sounds really petty and childish to us though. People get poked all the time on Facebook!!!

According to TMZ, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been ordered to stay away from his baby mama Josie Harris and their two children.

The restraining order was issued because of a domestic violence incident that took place between the couple on September 9th. Harris claims that during the incident Mayweather beat her up, threatened to kill her, and stole her cell phone.

Floyd was not present at the Las Vegas Clark County Courthouse when the judge issued the ruling.

We know he is too heated about this! How you gone keep a man away from his kids????

Rapper 50 Cent has stepped in the middle of the ring to help defend his good pal boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. against the domestic violence allegations made by his baby mama.

According to TMZ, Josie Harris made a 911 phone call early Thursday morning (Sep 9) claiming that Mayweather attacked her at her L.A. home. Cops arrived on the scene, however Floyd was no where to be found but will be brought in for questioning……Well like any good friend, 50 has jumped in the mix to rep his boy and tweeted not long after the incident.

“I talked to him before and after the situation he wasnt even upset. He said he asked her why was the house so dirty she started trippin.” He also tweeted. “Another case of angry baby mama wanting money. Police are looking for [Mayweather]. I just got off the phone with him.” 50 then added: “She’s claiming he hit her but has no bruises. Floyd went to see his kids last night if a fighter of floyd caliber hits u, u would b bruised.”

This is just crazy! SMH……. 50 can empathize though. His baby mama is off the chain crazy!

NBA star Dwyane Wade & his new girlfriend actress Gabrielle Union officially announced their status as a couple last weekend during Wade and Alonzo Mourning’s annual “Summer Groove Weekend” in Florida.

The two were spotted walking hand-in-hand on the red carpet of the Summer Groove Benefit Dinner at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel Saturday night (Jul 17) in Hollywood, FL and were also seen sitting court side together the next day (Sun. Jul 18) at the Summer Groove All-Star Basketball Game held in Miami at the American Airlines Arena. Dwyane even got bold enough to walk over to Gabby during halftime and planted a wet kiss on his newly announced girlfriend in front of over 10,000 people. Speaking on being able to finally be open with his new relationship, D.Wade said:

“It’s nice to be able to just live your life and not really care about what people are going to say, and just be free,” said Wade, who has also been fighting a lawsuit from a failed restaurant venture. “It is nice that you can just move on with your life. This summer’s been real big for me for that. I’ve been getting a lot of things behind me — and God has continued to bless me — and a lot of it has been positive. It’s been a two-and-a-half, almost three-years hardship. But now it’s going away, and just don’t get myself in anything like this soon and I’ll be fine.”

And the word on the sidewalk is that Mr. Mayweather is in some legal trouble and was sued for stealing a rapper from another label and signing him to his while the artist was still under contract with their former label. Floyd lost the battle in court today and was ordered to fork over almost $6,000 to the company, who was seeking $750,000 in damages and $155,000 for studio time, living and travel expenses. Here’s the scoop:

Boxing champion-turned-record executive Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been ordered to pay almost $6,000 to a New York management company after he was accused of poaching a rap artist for his label. Bosses at Long Island, New York-based Just For You Entertainment sued Mayweather, Jr. for “surreptitiously signing” Freck Billionaire – real name Jeffrey Whitters – to his Philthy Rich Records in 2008.

Just For You executives claimed the rapper had signed an exclusive contract with them in 2005 and sought a reported $750,000 in damages, claiming costs including $155,000 for studio time, living and travel expenses. The case recently went to court and Manhattan federal Judge Kevin Castel ruled in Just For You’s favour, but he only approved a handful of the expenses.

Castel told the courtroom: “The problem with this case is a lack of probative evidence. It appears no records were kept for many items where damages were claimed.”

Mayweather never answered the suit against him.

Cold game, but this is the life of the music business. We’re mad they sued him for almost $1 million and only got $6,000 though!! (LMAO) What a waste of a lawsuit, SMH…

Some of the famous faces spotted in the crowd included Diddy, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and singer Chris Brown, who performed the National Anthem before the opening bell. Even boxing legend Muhammad Ali was spotted ringside at the big fight!

Is the beef between Floyd Mayweather and Rick Ross squashed? According to Ricky it is…

You might remember that the rapper and boxer were throwing some serious lugs at each other in most recent months, which included Floyd joining 50 Cent‘s ongoing attack against Ross. The rapper recently sat down with MTV and had this to say:

“Yeah, bumped into Floyd Mayweather,” Ross told MTV News. “Most definitely. We chopped it up like G’s and after a discussion, we shook hands. So that’s squashed. It’s a new year, it’s time to get new money. Y’all know what it is. I kept it 1,000.””

It’s always a good thing to see entertainers squash these ridiculous beefs, but we’re not gonna consider this squashed until we hear something from Money Mayweather himself! Check out a clip of MTV News’ interview below:

Earlier, we told you guys about the mega fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao being called off. Well that may not be the case quite yet. Mayweather released a statement basically saying that he is ready to sign the contract, among other things.

“Throughout this whole process I have remained patient, but at this point I am thoroughly disgusted that Pacquiao and his representatives are trying to blame me for the fight not happening when clearly the blame is on them. First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass.“

He went on to talk about the issue with Pacquiao’s team:

“Before the mediation, my team proposed a 14-day, no blood testing window leading up to the fight.  But it was rejected.  I am still proposing the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30-day cut-off.   The truth is he just doesn’t want to take the tests.”

We want to believe Mayweather … we really do! But we really don’t know who is telling the truth. Who’s being truthful in all of this and who’s lying? Well look at what Mayweather had to say about that:

“I know the people will see through their smokescreens and lies.  I am ready to fight and sign the contract. Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight.”

After spending the weekend of her actual birthday in Atlanta with Nicki Minaj, female rap star Trina partied it up (again) a week later in Miami with folks like Floyd Mayweather, Tocarra and Mya at Biscayne Mia. Rappers Nicki Minaj and Trina teamed up to celebrate their birthdays together in Atlanta over the weekend at two different clubs on two different nights. Friday night’s (Dec 4) bash was held at Studio 72 and Soulja Boy rolled through to support his girls.

Expect rumors of Soulja Boy and Trina to start running rampant though because we hear those two were pretty close that night and are supposed to be an “item.” Interesting… If that’s the case, major props go to the 19-year-old rapper for pullin’ a chick like Trina (who just turned 31)!

The ladies ended their “weekend celebration” Saturday night (Dec 5) with a big party at Atlanta’s Club Miami. A few of the celebrity guests in the building for that particular party were musician/socialite Teyana Taylor, pro boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and comedian Lil Duval.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his retirement eariler this week after a decline for the Welterweight Championship rematch. Mayweather has joked about his retirement for a while but this time, it seems as though he’s serious.
