This is kinda weird…..

Despite filing for divorce, Faith Evans has kept her estranged hubby Todd Russaw as her manager.

According to TMZ, the divorce proceedings haven’t changed a thing — “Todd is going to be my manager still. I have a lot of personal things going on right now. My main focus is [my daughter] Chyna graduating from high school next week.”

As we previously reported, Faith filed for divorce last month — citing irreconcilable differences. The couple was married in 1997, but separated in 2005. They have two minor children.

We guess good help is hard to find after all…..

Grammy award-winning songstress (and widow of the Notorious B.I.G.) Faith Evans, has officially filed for divorce from her record company executive husband Todd Russaw.

In the divorce, which was filed in Los Angeles County on May 17, 2011, Evans notes that she and her husband actually separated back in December 2005!

The couple married in 1997 and Evans cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for filing for divorce.

They have two children together, Joshua, 13, and Ryder, 4, who was born after the couple officially separated. Evans is seeking for sole physical custody of the kids, but joint legal custody in the papers.

The 2010 Soul Train Awards were held Wednesday night (Nov 10) in Atlanta Georgia, and Black Star Power was in full effect on the purple carpet!

Faith Evans, Chilli (and her new man?), Ginuwine & his wife Sole, Chrisette Michele, hosts Terrence Howard & Taraji P. Henson, Eric Benet, Bobby Valentino, Jeremih, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and more walked down the purple carpet and posed for pics before making their way into Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Center for the show, presented by BET and Centric.

According to TMZ, R&B singer Faith Evans has been charged with two counts of DUI.

Faith, who is working on a new album and currently filming a new reality show, was arrested on August 21st after being stopped at a DUI checkpoint near the Marina Del Rey section of L.A. If convicted, she could face up to 6 months in jail.

Now that sucks…

R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan took part in the Black Gay Pride festivities that went down over the weekend in Atlanta by performing at Mansion Elan Nightclub Friday night (Sep 3). Jazmine posed for pics with her gay/lesbian fans before she grabbed a mic and belted out songs like “Bust Your Windows,” “Lions, Tigers & Bears” and her latest single “Holding You Down.”

Also in attendance were Faith Evans and stylist Derek J (from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and Oxygen‘s new show “Hair Battle Spectacular”).

According to various news reports, the Grammy Award winning entertainer was cuffed after being stopped at a DUI checkpoint near the Marina Del Ray section of the city.

Her car was impounded and she was held in police custody for a few hours before being released on bail early Sunday morning.

After the reports spread like wildfire, Faith took to her Twitter Sunday evening to address the situation and let everyone know that she is “fine and well” and will be pressing on with the filming of her new music video for her new single “Gone Already.”

“Hi Faithfuls…I am on the set of my new video for my single “Gone Already”. I’m sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI. After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint. I’m fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can’t wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from u guys…Fizzy”

Meanwhile, Evans is currently filming a reality series titled “All About Faith” chronicling her life and her return to the music scene. It’s unclear as to whether or not camera crews were around for this particular incident though.

R&B veteran Faith Evans is the lastest artist to run on into trouble with the IRS. Reports show she owes more than $360,000 in taxes on income earned in the state of New York, New Jersey, and Los Angeles.

Early in the month of March, the IRS filed a $36,360 lien against Evans in New York and in February. A lien was also filed against Evan in Los Angeles amounting to $119,821 and she owes the state of New Jersey $204,000, according to a lien filed in October 2009.

She is currently planning to take the same road as other female R&B singers Monica, Fantasia, and Keyshia Cole in the works of a reality show and album titled All About Faith. The reality show will display the singer’s professional career and home life as a mother.

Faith Evans was the first female artist signed to Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ Bad Boy Records. Her husband Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace was gunned down 13 years ago on March 9, 1997.

The music video for “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” debuted Friday night (Feb 12) during the opening ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

This version of the song, featuring vocals from Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, T-Pain, Usher, Wyclef Jean and much more, is much more contemporary than the original but it fits today’s music era. The song’s original writer and singer Michael Jackson also appears in the song and video (his sister Janet sings the first chorus with footage of Mike thrown in). They also kept one of MJ’s original parts and show footage of him singing it (Nice!).

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

KANYE WEST WANTS TO BE “DIFFERENT” AND POSE NUDE » When it comes to his music and style stepping outside of the box comes natural to rapper Kanye West, but with his recent statement made in the February issue of Vibe magazine, we think maybe he’s taking a huge leap away from the norm.  Mr. West has revealed that he wants to pose nude one day to “break every rule of Hip Hop“.

VOLETTA WALLACE WANTS TO TALK TO LIL’ KIM » Essence recently sat down with Voletta Wallace, the mother of late rapper Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace to promote the upcoming film Notorious, based on the biography ‘Unbelievable: The Life, Death and Afterlife of the Notorious B.I.G.,’ by Cheo Hedari Coker. While discussing the movie,  Ms. Wallace stated that even she discovered some things about her son that she hadn’t previously known – including the nature of his relationship with rapper Lil Kim.

“I saw a side of my son that I heard of but I haven’t accepted. I’m angered by certain things, disappointed and shocked,” she told Essence. “So this film taught me tolerance and to be less critical.

“I would love to speak to Lil’ Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn’t like the way he treated her and I’m praying that that’s not it. Only she can answer those questions. She’s a sweet girl and I didn’t think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that’s the case.”

On the flip side, R&B singer Faith Evans has responded to Lil’ Kim’s comments about her disapproval of her portrayal in the film Notorious.

“I try my best not to think about it,” Evans told MTV News on Thursday afternoon (January 8) about Kim’s recent quotes. “It’s kinda sad.”

Evans said the magazine informed her of the quotes. “I got four kids, and I definitely don’t have time for this type of sh–,” she noted. “It’s just sad. I don’t know Kim’s story like that. The part of my life that she was a part of, that what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. I didn’t write the script. Any characters in the film had to agree for their life rights to be in the movie. I don’t think I would have signed anything had I felt I was not portrayed properly. I think she had the opportunity to do that. I could be mistaken. I wasn’t there.

“It’s not like [the film's producers] are calling Faith to write something about somebody,” Evans added. “It’s based on a book that I think she participated in as well.  I don’t know what to say. I think that beyond myself, Ms. Wallace or whoever else she wants to blame, everyone who was around Big at that time has had some things to say about [her relationship with Biggie] in order for Cheo to even write the book. He interviewed pretty much all of us. She’s sadly mistaken. I’m aware of what she has to say, and that’s fine. I don’t know what to say. God bless her.”

Faith has not figured out what Kim has up her sleeve with the threat to “expose” her and Ms. Wallace. “I don’t think there’s anything about me that I would be ashamed of that I haven’t already told people,” she said. “I hope she found the closure she’s looking for.”

So much drama between the ladies, but of course we all know the truth hurts so maybe that is why Kim is so mad?

The highly anticipated biopic of Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace hits theaters next Friday, January 16th 2008, and all of the celebrities came in droves to check out the premiere of Notorious at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City Wednesday night.
