Former female Ruff Ryder Eve wants somebody to knock some sense into Lil Kim‘s noggin.

In a interview with Tim Westwood, Eve gave her opinion on the ongoing feud between the Queen Bee and Nicki Minaj.

I need her to stop. If I was Kim’s friend, I’d be like, yo. Because she’s Kim, period, So she never has to feed. She shouldn’t. It’s bad. It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you. So that’s it…I love it. You know, it’s definitely a nice group of females that’s out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop.

Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that’s how girls supposed to do in hip-hop, but I’m loving everything she does. But we need more females, man. There’s too much testosterone in the hip-hop game.

Jill Scott returned to her hometown of Philadelphia last month (Mar 21) to shoot her new music video “Shame,” which also features rapper Eve, and will appear on her upcoming fourth studio album The Light of the Sun. Jill, who just celebrated her 39th birthday earlier this week, spoke with CNN on the set of the video (shot at Philly’s Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center) and briefly talked about her new album.

“I really wanted to go back to my original state. I love hip-hop, and I was born to it,” Scott said. “I needed to come back to it, it’s been awhile, and I’m in a new environment.”

Female rapper Eve recently spoke with Vibe Magazine to get some things off her tattoo’d chest about how she feels about Jimmy Iovine and her former label Interscope Records. She says she has no hard feelings towards Iovine because at the end of the day, business is business. But she definitely put it out there that she did not appreciate the way the situation was handled when she was dropped from the label.

“[Interscope was] stupid because they didn’t drop me at first, they [just shelfed me] and dropped the ball. After ‘Tambourine’, they straight up were like, ‘Umm, yeah, nah, we’re not putting out the record.’ After that I was like ‘Yall gotta let me go. I’ve been here 11 years and you’re frontin on me?’ It got to that point,” she reveals.

Eve who’s debut album off Interscope, Let There Be Eve… Ruff Ryders’ First Lady, debuted in 1999, says she loves the label’s chairman, Jimmy Iovine, but admits that he’s motivated by trends, no matter how much faith he’s already invested in a senior artist – “I’m not going to talk shit about him, but I don’t appreciate the fact that he didn’t go the extra mile for me.”

However, the main reason the Philly chick says she left disgruntled has everything to do with a pledge that was made to her before her 4th album, Flirt was meant to drop in 2007. “They promised me the machine. The machine is basically the roll out. It’s ‘Yo, when [Flirt] comes out, we’ll give you this, we’ll give you that. And that’s what made me mad. It’d be different if we didn’t have a mtg where people promised me shit. If they were just like ‘Oh we’re going to put the album out and see what happens,’ that would be one thing,” she says.
“But they were like ‘No, we’re making sure this happens, it’s coming out on this date.’ It was concrete. But it’s all good, everything happens how it’s supposed to, when it’s supposed to.”

Eve confesses experiencing a short surge of confusion. “I definitely went through a period of ‘Are you serious?’ I think I didn’t know how to feel. Once it finally happened, it’s like ‘Damn, so you wasn’t really fucking with me?’ I went through a lot of different thoughts, but that only lasted for two days.”

Dang… You see how labels treat you once they’ve sucked you dry? They throw you away like a used Bounty paper towel!

Rapper/actress Eve and actress (now director) Drew Barrymore shared a hug Tuesday evening (Sep 29) at the after party for the premiere of “Whip It” at Hot Tub Johnny’s in Hollywood. The movie, which Eve stars in, was directed by Drew Barrymore and hits theaters nationwide Friday, October 2nd. This is Barrymore’s first time directing a film.

She also told the website that she had left her label, Geffen Records, confirming earlier reports that the two had parted ways. Her fourth studio album, Flirt, was due to be released last year but was pushed back to 2009 and now that she’s a free agent, she’ll have to wait until she’s with another label to get it out.

In the meantime, be on the look-out for her in the new Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page movie “Whip It!” and an upcoming guest appearance in Fox’s new comedy series “Glee.”

In other Alicia news, she recently announced that despite her talented musical background, she had to learn how to play the cello for her role in The Secret Life of Bees, on DVD March 31st. If you’re an Aussie and you wanted to celeb-watch, then today would have been the perfect day! Sydney International Airport in Sydney, Australia was apparently the landing spot for rappers Wyclef Jean, Eve, and 50 Cent. They all are in the “down under” for the 2008 MTV Australia Awards, which will go down this Saturday (Apr. 26th).

Eva “the diva” Pigford made an appearance on Tuesday at the celebrity golf challenge, which was held to honor the nominees of the 39th Annual NAACP Image Awards at the Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, California.

So the 2007 Movies Rock! show went down last night (December 7th): a night of movies, fashion and music! Performances include Chris Brown, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Eve! It looked fun, I’d say my favorite performance would have to be Fergie Ferg with “Live and Let Die” (Guns N’ Roses), she did an amazing job and did that song much justice. Ooh, I also love Usher’s performance of Gene Kelly’s “Singing in the Rain” – great show! Really they ALL did a fantastic job, I’m so proud of everyone! I’m mad I missed it y’all! Ha ha, expect more performances after the cut!

BRITNEY MIGHT HAVE TO START PAYING CH-SUP! » For all of you out there scratching your heads wondering wtf “ch-sup” is … it’s short for child support! Lol. Anyhow, if you’ve been living on planet earth the past few weeks, you’ll know that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have been a part of a nasty custody battle. Fortunately for Kevin, and unfortunately for Britney, custody of their two sons, Preston and Jaden, was granted to their father, Kevin Federline. Commissioner Scott M. Gordon did not say why he took the action or say how long Spears would be denied custody. But two weeks ago, he said there was evidence that Spears was “a habitual, frequent and continuous” user of drugs and alcohol. He ordered her to submit to twice-weekly drug and alcohol testing, undergo co-counseling with Federline and receive parent coaching. The parental coach was ordered to report back to the court later this month, ahead of a November 26th court date. So … does that mean Kevin will be getting child support from Brit?? Damn! MUSLIMS DON’T LIKE BEYONCE… » In an effort to avoid “Muslim outcry” and to protest against their beyond strict dress code, Beyonce has axed her debut concert in Malaysia. Her agent ICM cited a “scheduling conflict” as the reason, but the source said unofficially she was unhappy over a possible hostile reception in the mainly Muslim nation. “They foresee that when she comes over to Kuala Lumpur, there will be protests against her,” the source said. “They didn’t want that to happen.” The source also said Beyonce, known for her skimpy outfits, also balked at government rules banning sexy attire and running and jumping on stage. “You mean when she comes to Malaysia she has to change all her stuff?” the source added. “It’s also beyond the dressing. She has to change the show. Basically, the ministry wants her to stand in front of the microphone and open her mouth. Just sing and cannot move.” So no weave-shaking and booty popping?? A Beyonce show IS NOT a Beyonce show without those two. It just ain’t right!

According to various news sources, including AOL Black Voices, R&B singer Brandy’s brother Ray-J is working on releasing a memoir entitled “Sex Machine.” In this tell-all book, he describes how he has had sex with over 1,100 women. Yeah, you’re reading it right … 1 1 0 0! 4 digits. Ray J? Hell no. But then again, in this day and age, you can walk up to almost any girl (notice I said ALMOST) and say “give me some …” and they’ll be like “ok!” Now tag on being a “celebrity” and they’re all for it! No, it’s not coming out this month, next month, or even this year! Apparently the album has been pushed back to 2008… No word on when, in 2008. Just know that it’s 2008. A spokesperson for her Geffen Records label had no comment on the reason for the delay of “Here I Am.” The first single from the project, “Tambourine,” stalled at No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
