You may not know who Ester Dean is by name or face, but there’s a pretty good chance you know her from the hits she’s penned for artists like Rihanna (“Rude Boy”), Katy Perry (“Firework”), Nicki Minaj (“Super Bass”) and even Chris Brown.

Now the hit-maker will officially be writing music for her own album after recently signing a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label, which is already home to artists like the aforementioned Rihanna, Willow Smith, J. Cole and others.

“I’m so Grateful 4 my Team Past and Present! Bringing in the New Year with my new Team @RocNation 2012,” the Oklahoma native tweeted earlier this week.

Dean’s first foray into the music scene as an artist was back in 2009 when the singer/songwriter scored a hit of her own with the Chris Brown-assisted single “Drop It Low.”

Her debut album is due for release sometime later this year under Interscope Records.

Chris Brown is currently hitting up small venues in major cities in an effort to promote his latest album Graffiti and the other night, Chris’ fan appreciation tour made a stop in Atlanta and Polow Da Don throw a party for the young entertainer at Opera nightclub. Folks like Diddy, DJ Clue, Ester Dean and Sammie all showed up to party with Chris. We hear Diddy even left his own party at the Velvet Room to party it up with Mr. Brown!

A new track from Chris Brown‘s Graffiti Deluxe Edition leaked early yesterday. The track is called “I Love You“ and it features up and coming Ester Dean (“Drop it Low”). This definitely isn’t the best track we’ve heard off his new album but it isn’t that bad. Chris took to his twitter and let his followers know that this wasn’t the finished version so hopefully when it’s mastered it’ll sound a bit less like something you’d hear at the circus.

Take a listen to “So Cold,” a new song from Chris Brown. Brown confirmed via his Twitter page that the track, produced by Polow Da Don and co-written by Ester Dean and Teyana Taylor, will indeed be featured on his upcoming third studio album, Graffiti. He just hopes his album doesn’t leak:

Robin Thicke‘s 4th studio album, due to be released later this year, still has yet to be given a name. But that hasn’t stopped his music from being prematurely leaked. Produced by Polow Da Don, Thicke’s new song “Sex Therapy” is rumored to be the debut single from the currently untitled album.

Singer/songwriter Ester Dean, Zone 4 Records’ newest artist, has released her debut music video for her single, “Drop It Low,” featuring Chris Brown. Up until now, no one knew what this Ester Dean girl looked like because her label never released any pictures. The only thing related to her floating around the Internet was a logo and “Who Is Ester Dean” teaser videos.

The music video itself features cameo appearances from several artists, including Nelly, Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy and more.
