Some of the biggest names in music/entertainment were on hand to attend the 2012 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Celebs who posed it up outside on the red carpet included singers Usher, Justin Bieber, Brandy, Miguel, Monica and Robin Thicke; rappers Wiz Khalifa and Swizz Beatz; and many others.

The 2012 Grammy Awards — arguably the year’s biggest night in music and entertainment — were held Sunday night (Feb 12) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. And lots of celebrities made appearances on the red carpet, including Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose, J. Cole, Kelly Rowland, Common, Bruno Mars and many more.

Some of the other celebs who walked the red carpet of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards — hosted by Hip-Hop veteran LL Cool J — included Adele, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Diana Ross, Taraji P. Henson, Adam Levine, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Birdman, Tyga, Nicki Minaj and more.

The 2011 Soul Train Awards were held in Atlanta at the Fox Theater last Thursday night (Nov 17).

Hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, this year’s Soul Train Awards saw appearances from a variety of celebrities, including R&B singer Keri Hilson, model Amber Rose, actor Lance Gross, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tamar Braxton, our blogger friend Necole Bitchie (who won the award for Best Soul Site — CONGRATS!!), and many more.

The show also featured performances from Mindless Behavior, Common, Cee-Lo, Melanie Fiona, Robin Thicke, Eric Benet, Mary Mary, Gladys Knight, Lloyd, Miguel and a few others.

The Soul Train Awards also paid tribute to the late Heavy D midway through the ceremony with a touching video of the rapper accepting a Soul Train award for 1990′s “Big Time,” and performances from Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Kurtis Blow and Goodie Mob.

Eric Benet and Manuela Testolini are Married and Expecting!

R&B singer Eric Benet married his fiancee of 4 years Manuela Testolini on Sunday (Jul 31) in an extravagant ceremony in Newport Beach, California.

In a double whammy, it was also announced at the reception that the couple are expecting their first child together. “This is one perfect day !!” Eric later tweeted.

Testolini, ex-wife of music legend Prince, wore a one of a kind Monique Lhuillier gown while her new husband rocked a Lanvin tuxedo.

Guests at the lavish bash included David Foster, Niecy Nash, Shaun Robinson, Samuel Jackson and his wife LaTanya Richardson.

And a source joked to Page Six that Eric demanded a “retoss” after his daughter India’s boyfriend caught the bride’s garter belt.

Benet’s 18 year old daughter India’s boyfriend allegedly caught the bride’s garter belt when it was tossed. And as any father would, Benet immediately demanded a retoss!

Sounds like fun times. Congrats to the happy couple and the family!

Eric Benet Engaged to Prince’s Ex Wife Manuela Testolini

While Gabriel Aubry is filing paperwork…..Halle Berry’s ex-hubby Eric Benet is planning on walking down the aisle!

The R&B singer’s publicist announced that he is engaged to his girlfriend Manuela Testolini (who was previously married to Prince).

“They are engaged and very happy,” Eric Benet’s rep said in a statement released yesterday.

The couple have been dating for three years and live together in L.A. No date has been set for the wedding yet.

Congrats guys!!

R&B singer Alicia Keys attended the National Black Theatre’s Communication Arts Program Symposium Friday in New York City. In other Alicia news, she recently announced that despite her talented musical background, she had to learn how to play the cello for her role in The Secret Life of Bees, on DVD March 31st. She added that even though she stopped practicing after filming wrapped, she does have plans on pursuing the instrument in the future.

“I had to work hard at it and I was constantly practicing, constantly learning and re-learning the proper way to play. It takes a year or so just to learn how to hold the bow properly and use it the right way, so just making it feel effortless and look effortless was a challenge. It had to look as if I’d been playing for 15 or 20 years. That took a lot of practice – but I’m used to discipline and practice … I didn’t play after finishing the film but I do want to rediscover it and I will probably start again from the beginning and learn properly,” said the star.”
