Rapper DMX has been making a lot of headlines recently, with him randomly appearing at Waffle Houses, and helping Dr. Drew save lives and all.

And in addition to all of his good deeds comes news that X will be collaborating with Hip-Hop titan Eminem on an upcoming track!

“That right there, I’m going to be honest with you, it was just an idea we were throwing around and it kind of just stuck — I probably should give all the credit to that to my man Ali and [Def Jam executive] Randy Acker,” producer veteran Cavie told SOHH.

“They got ties with Marshall [Eminem] and they were like, ‘We’re good with Marshall and we’re good with X. How can we make this record happen?’ To my knowledge, they’ve already had the phone conversation, they’ve already spoke, everything is good. They talked on a real level. I don’t want to get too deep into it but they’ve already spoken and the record is in the making. We’re just waiting for all of the particulars to come flying. We’re going to see hip-hop history.”

We’re definitely looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. DMX + Eminem = Total Mayhem!

Rap legends Eminem and Lil Wayne share the cover of GQ Magazine’s November 2011 “Gods of Rock” issue with Rock legend Keith Richards.

The tribute pays homage to artists who have survived through drug addictions, legal woes and other personal tribulations, something the three rock stars can relate to.

Also highlighted in GQ’s “Gods or Rock” issue are Erykah Badu, Outkast’s Andre 3000 and Big Boi, Metallica and more.

Inside the pages of the magazine, Eminem discusses his battle with drug addiction, which he started in 2000 when he released “The Marshall Mathers LP” and got even worse when he recorded “Encore” in 2004.

“Five or six songs leaked from the original version of Encore,” Slim Shady recalls. “So I had to go in and make new songs to replace them. In my head I was pissed off: ‘Oh well. Songs leaked. Fuck it. I’m just going to take a bunch of fucking pills and go in there and have a party with myself.’ I’m sure the more pills I took, the goofier I got.”

As a survivor of the battle rappers/rockers face with drugs, Eminem says, “The thing sobriety has taught me the most is the way I’m wired – why my thought process is so different.” He adds, “I’ve realized that the way I am helps with the music. Sporadic thoughts will pop into my head and I’ll have to go write something down, and the next thing you know I’ve written a whole song in an hour.”

“But sometimes it sucks, and I wish I was wired like a regular person and could go have a f**kin’ drink. But that’s the biggest thing about addiction: When you realize that you cannot – for f**k’s sake, you can not – f**k around with nothing ever again. I never understood when people would say it’s a disease. Like, ‘Stop it, d**khead. It’s not a disease!’ But I finally realized, F**k, man – it really is.”

We’re not sure how Hip Hop critics will feel about this one …. but according to legendary music magazine Rolling Stone, Marshall Mathers aka Eminem is the “King of Hip Hop.”

Now how on earth did they come to this conclusion, you ask? Well let us explain.

In order for Rolling Stone to crown Eminem the KING of Hip-Hop, they had to consider a number of factors, including album sales, chart rankings, views on YouTube, concert sales and more between 2009 and the first seven months of 2011.

Slim Shady beat fellow rappers Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Drake in the race for the crown with them all finishing beneath him.

This isn’t the first time the magazine has placed a crown on someone’s head. They handed the Queen of Pop title to Lady Gaga, but devout pop fans overruled the decision and Madonna was crowned the pop Queen. Let’s see how everything fares on the Hip-Hop end though with Eminem’s new title.

Eminem has made history for himself and Hip-Hop.

The rapper’s 2nd album The Marshall Mathers LP has officially been certified diamond by the RIAA.

Released on the Aftermath/Interscope imprint in 2000, the album moved 1.7 million units in its first week alone! And 11 years later the project has sold over 10 million units in the US alone.

But wait, there’s more. His 3rd LP The Eminem Show has also reached diamond sale status.

This landmarks Em as the only rapper to have two diamond albums in the whole of rap history.

Between the handful of smash singles spawned by her fifth album Loud and her highly anticipated  tour this summer, Rihanna is having quite the year. Now, she can add a whopping 18 nominations for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards to her already impressive resume.

The full list of nominees dropped earlier this week, and the Barbadian singer leads all artists with nods in most of the major categories, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top 100 Artist and Top R&B Artist. Former collaborator Eminem is right behind her with 16 noms, including half a dozen for their chart-topping tag-team effort “Love the Way You Lie.”

Queen of Weird, Lady Gaga, will also have the chance to score up to twelve statuettes when the 2011 BMAs are handed out on Sunday, May 22 (8 P.M. EST on ABC). Other finalists include Usher, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Ke$ha.

Aubrey O’Day, formerly of Danity Kane, recently revealed that she has sexual fantasies about Shady Records head honcho Eminem.

O’Day, who recently landed her own reality show on  the Oxygen network, revealed her desires in a new video series on PopDust.com titled “Magic Box,” where readers ask  today’s popular celebrities some of the most embarrassing questions.

During Aubrey’s Magic Box session, the “All About Aubrey” star revealed that she has a recurring fantasy about having sex with “The Shady One” in a bathtub.

“I can like hear his voice, I can hear him talking to me, I can feel him touching me, they are really gnarly,” Aubrey O’Day stated, before revealing that she lost her virginity in her junior year of college.

Eminem and friends rocked the stage last night (Sun. Feb 13) as they performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

With Adam Levine on the keys, Em’s set opened up with a performance of the Rihanna-assisted single “Love the Way You Lie (Part II).” After Em rapped his verse for the song, the performance then transitioned into the Skylar Grey featured “I Need a Doctor,” where Dr. Dre came out to do his verse at the end.

Thoughts on the skit?

Eminem stars as an animated version of himself in a stop-motion ad for Lipton Brisk Iced Tea. The commercial, which was helped developed by Eminem himself, made its big debut last night (Feb 6) during the first quarter of the Super Bowl.

According to a rep for the company, Eminem decided to work with Brisk because he was intrigued by stop motion animation and the opportunity to have creative input. This marks an ongoing partnership between the rapper and Brisk.

It’s that time of the year again. The 2011 Grammy Awards will be here before you know it (in less than a month to be exact), and among the performers announced were Eminem, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Cee-Lo Green, who are ALL nominated for at least 1 Grammy Award each.

Eminem leads all nominees with 10 nominations, while Lady Gaga has 6 and Green and Perry each have 4. Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon, according to the official Grammy Awards website.

The 2011 Grammy Awards are set to take place live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13th, and will air on CBS at 8 pm.

Rapper Eminem admits that he isn’t the most sociable person in the world!

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Em revealed how he has trust issues and keeps a small circle of friends.

“I have trust issues — with women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are. I’ve got a small circle of friends, and it’s a lot of the same friends I’ve known forever. Right now, that works for me. I came out of some difficult things these past couple of years. I kind of feel like I’m just now finding my footing, so I want to make sure that’s secure before I go out and do anything else. I need to keep working on myself for a while.”

The Grammy Award winning rapper also went on to add that he would like to be in a relationship one day……..but right now it’s too hard for him to meet new people.

“As far as going out, like dinner and a movie — I just can’t. Going out in public is just too crazy. I mean, I’d like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn’t? It’s just hard to meet new people, in my position.”

Sometimes it’s best to keep to yourself……we feel you Em!

Nicki Minaj teams up with Eminem in her newest music release “Roman’s Revenge”. The track is a possible single off Nicki’s upcoming album “Pink Friday” (due in stores later this month). Check it out above!!

This is going to be wild…..

In a recent interview with MTV, Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj revealed that she and Eminem have teamed up for a track on her upcoming album Pink Friday. The song is called “Roman’s Revenge” and features both rappers tapping into their alter egos: Nicki as Roman Zolanski and Em as Slim Shady.

Minaj also went on to add that the collaboration left her in complete shock and credits it for giving her album life. Peep what she said below:

“We went out on a whim and put it in the air like, ‘It’d be great if he would collaborate with us. I remember I kept talking about it, and I thought, ‘It can’t hurt.’ I sent him one record, and he didn’t love it. He didn’t say, ‘I don’t love it’ – he just said, ‘Can you send me something that’s a little more me?’I sent him an email and thanked him for that, just having enough respect. Sometimes people don’t respond. He had the respect, at least, to treat me like a peer. He picked up the phone for that one… Even right now, I’m in shock… ‘The Real Slim Shady’! It was the most fun song on Pink Friday. It gave me life.”

Even though Marshall Mathers sold 608,000 copies of 2009′s Relapse in its first week, the project was panned by critics and longtime Em fans. They said he rhymed in too many weird voices, that the production sounded dated and that the subject matter was too grim. The LP didn’t make enough of an impact, and there really wasn’t much buzz around Eminem to even warrant him making the Hottest MCs list last year.

This year, however, was totally different. Eminem pretty much dominated 2010 from start to finish, and the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust voted him the #1 Hottest MC in the Game. “Obviously, the last album was lackluster,” mtvU’s Yomi Desalu said during the Hottest MCs roundtable discussion. “I think he recognized that, not being on the board last year.”
