Suge Knight is still looking for attention ANY way he can get it.

The former Death Row CEO recently spoke with Howard Stern on his radio show and called out Dr. Dre  for “snitching” on him to his parole officer.

Knight also told a crazy story about 2pac once accusing Dre of being a homosexual. (He must be REALLY upset about that hologram!!)

All of the allegations about Tupac Shakur becoming a virtual Hip-Hop legend can be laid to rest. Dr. Dre has finally responded to rumors that the Tupac hologram used last weekend during his and Snoop Dogg’s Coachella performance set last weekend would be used for an upcoming tour.

In a video recorded backstage this past Sunday night (Apr 22) during the last night of Coachella 2012, the rap music pioneer explained, “It was strictly for Coachella, get it right. I want to get rid of all the rumors out there. This was not done for a tour.”

However, the highly sought after producer did not totally rule out the prospect that the late rapper’s 2D image may be used again. “If a tour happens, we’ll see, but this was done strictly for Coachella 2012, baby, just for you,” he said.

Wrapping up the interview, the “Next Episode” rapper thanked Digital Domain and AV Concepts for making his “dream come to life.” Before taking to the stage, the Doc said “Now I gotta get my ass on stage and rock this motherf**ker!”

Even death can’t stop Nate Dogg from doing what he did best.

The late rapper, who passed away last March, will be performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California this weekend.

Sources told TMZ that Dr. Dre didn’t want to leave his friend Nate Dogg out of his performance on Sunday … so he is using hologram technology to project an image of Nate onto the stage.

Nate’s image will appear alongside Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, and Warren G to make it look like he’s actually performing with them on stage.

According to the sources, Nate will be performing several songs.

This sounds pretty exciting, but really weird, all at the same time. We can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Hollywood gathered on a somber note last night (Sat Feb 11) at Clive Davis’ 2012 Pre-Grammy Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where R&B legend Whitney Houston was found dead earlier in the day.

When the sad news broke, there were reports that the annual Clive Davis event would be canceled, but Davis — Houston’s longtime friend and mentor — said that the R&B/Pop icon “would have wanted the music to go on.”

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

Some of the many celebrities in attendance at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Richard Branson and Diana Ross included Diddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Jamie Foxx, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and more.

The star-studded event also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Marsha Ambrosius, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J and others. Monica and Brandy were slated to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”, but we’re told they were unable to because they were too devastated about Whitney Houston’s passing.

Diana Ross, who was being honored at the event, told a red carpet reporter, “I won’t be able to enjoy it,” when she was asked how she felt about being the night’s guest of honor.

“By now you have all learned of the unspeakably tragic news of our beloved Whitney’s passing,” Clive Davis said at the start of the evening. “I don’t have to mask my emotion in front of a room full of so many dear friends. I am personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me for so many years. Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight even though she wasn’t scheduled to perform.”

He continued, “Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.”

Snoop Dogg turns 40 years old today, and the rapper celebrated the momentous occasion with a party at The Rolling Stone Lounge this past Tuesday night (Oct 18) in Hollywood with his wife Shante and some of his Hip-Hop friends, including Dr. Dre, Warren G, Tyrese and Bootsy Collins, as well as Rihanna’s ex boyfriend Matt Kemp (of the L.A. Dodgers) and a couple of other athletes.

The legendary Chaka Khan was also in the building and sang “Happy Birthday” to the birthday boy.

Rapper/producer Dr. Dre and Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine held a media event in Manhattan Tuesday night (Oct 11) to present the “Beats Holiday ’11 Product Showcase,” their newest line of Beats by Dre headphones.

The new line of production quality headphones, to be released just in time for the upcoming 2011 Holiday season, features three new products, including the newly revamped standard headphones with 5 new colors — pink, orange, purple, blue and gray — due in stores next week (retail: $350).

A special set of limited DJ headphones (designed with the help of hitmaker David Guetta) were also announced, as well as a wireless Bluetooth model with a rechargeable battery than can sync with iPods, iPhones, iPads and other devices.

“You see all these rappers now with headphones – let them try – Dre is not a just a rapper. He’s a master of sound, which reflects in our products,” Iovine, the CEO of Beats By Dre, said. “So all these other rappers can try to introduce their own headphones. It doesn’t bother us at all. All it does is make us look better.” (Shots fired at 50 Cent, maybe?)

Many different celebrities were on hand for the 11th Annual BMI Urban Awards, held Friday night (Aug 26) in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theater.

Some of the celebs in attendance at the 2011 BMI Awards were Drake, Dr. Dre, Mario, Christina Milian, Busta Rhymes and more. The show also featured performances/appearances from Wiz Khalifa, Game, Snoop Dogg and Charlie Wilson.

Dubbed Hip-Hop’s royal couple, husband and wife duo Jay Z & Beyonce (who haven’t recorded a song together since 2007) are said to be in the studio with Dr. Dre working on a song for his longly anticipated album Detox.

A source recently told UK newspaper The Sun:

“Jay and Dre have recorded their verses with the chorus left open for Beyoncé to sing. The producer has worked on Detox for over a decade. He wanted the couple together.”

One word: EXCITED! This should be pretty epic…

Now that your mixtape Black Friday is out, when are we going to get the next studio album?
I’m always working. You’re gonna always hear music from me. I can honestly say I’m so proud of the body of work that I’ve been producing. It’s a new sound for me, something that I think my fans are gonna love and I’m excited about the new direction. I’m basically always working. You’re gonna always hear music from me, but you’re gonna have that coming right after [the mixtape]. We got some surprises and some treats.

Do you have an album title yet?
I have a few, but I really don’t want to mention them now.

Is it going to be more like the Hard Core days or will we see the pop side of Kim?
You’re gonna get a mixture. There’s no way to just go straight Hard Core. I’m not one of those artists that say, “OK, I’m in a Hard Core mood, so everything’s gonna be Hard Core.” I’m not one of those artists. I don’t live my life like that. I don’t wake up every day and feel that same feeling. I live by the nature really. There are artists who will take a certain concept and go with that concept through the whole album; I’m not like that. I’m an artist who likes for everything to be universal.

Which producers are you working with?
Well, just so you know, I’m on Dr. Dre’s Detox album and I can’t wait, wait, wait, wait for that. The song is freakin’ phenomenal. It’s definitely something that my Hard Core fans are going to love, love, love, love, love. In return he’s doing a song for me on my album. I got Timbaland. I’m not the type of person where every name has to be a big name. I just have a really wonderful relationship with Timbaland and a wonderful relationship with Dr. Dre, so I’m lucky to have them as in-house producers. I also have up-and-coming producers, who people are going to get to know through my music. They’re not even out there like that.

There were reports that you were signing with Roc Nation…
I did get offers from representatives from Roc Nation and I did get phone calls from representatives from Roc Nation. A couple representatives from Def Jam had also reached out to me. I think they’re both amazing companies and I think it would’ve been brilliant for me and Jay to collaborate and team up together. However it just didn’t pan out like that. Not to say that something with me and Jay can’t happen in the future, but I doubt if Jay-Z or Roc Nation will be a part of my upcoming album. He and I are really good friends. We both were excited about the idea of us collaborating and maybe me signing with Roc Nation. I think Jay-Z is letting me be Kim at this moment. I think he feels that I deserve to be Kim and also to have everything that… It’s hard for record companies to sign females these days and give them exactly what they want and need. I understand that. It’s a different world out there.

Have you signed a new record deal or are you in the process of doing that?
I have a lot of situations on the table and I have a lot of situations in effect. For the most part, I’m very independent right now. All the situations that I have on the table, whatever the situation is, it’s going to be a partnership.

You previously mentioned a potential collaboration with Rihanna. Did anything happen?
Well, I mentioned I would love to collaborate with her. She’s my favorite pop artist right now. I think she’s just phenomenal. I feel like collaborations with people happen naturally. But I do have three people on my radar that I wanna work with so bad, but I’m not gonna tell you who they are. You know why I’m not gonna tell you? Because there were two people that I wanted to work with that [Nicki Minaj] ended up working with and I feel like it’ll just jinx it when you say it out loud. People hear you and they wanna do the same thing you do. I know that this collaboration is gonna happen. I feel it. I see it happening.

As a hip-hop veteran, who are you feeling these days?
I almost listen to everyone’s music. I’m really loving Wiz Khalifa. I like him a lot. I think he’s a dope artist. And also another up-and-coming artist, his name is Big Sean. I think he’s hot. There’s a lot of pop artists I love. I love rock ‘n’ roll music. I love all types of music. Usher, I’m loving him again. Not to say I stopped loving him, but at one point I didn’t understand the direction his music was going in, but I am in love with everything he’s doing now.

What do you think of Lady Gaga’s new single “Born This Way”?
I love Lady Gaga. Anything she does, I love. Even if it’s not my favorite Lady Gaga record—she’s just phenomenal. She is so cute.

Some people have compared her to you, saying she’s taken a page from your book at times.
I see that. I can see some of my influences too, but you know what I love about it? She just made it her own. She went in a direction that is her own. I would never try to go in that direction. She went in a direction where I love to watch her.

Maybe one day we’ll see a Kim and Gaga collaboration?
[Laughs] She’s wonderful. She’s definitely wonderful.

Any other projects coming out that you’re excited about?
Well, I have a book deal that’s been in the works for a long time. We’re finally starting the process of getting it out. It won’t come out around the same time as my album, but a little bit after my album comes out. I’m excited about that book. The name of the book is The Price of Loyalty. I have a book deal with St. Martin’s Press and I cannot wait for this book to come out because it’s solely about my stay in prison and a lot of the wonderful, beautiful girls that I met in prison. It’s some of their stories mixed with my stories mixed with the whole prison situation, and even how it came to be for me. It’s gonna be an interesting book. I do have some other things that I’m excited about, some endorsement situations.

Are Dr. Dre and 50 Cent seriously beefing over headphones?

As we all know, rapper/producer Dr. Dre has had a deal with Monster to produce a line of headphones called “Beats by Dre,” which has spawned other lines from other Interscope artists including Lady Gaga and Diddy. And just last month, 50 Cent inked a deal with a rival company named Sleek with plans to release his own line of headphones under the name “Sleek by 50.” (Sound familiar?)

Well, apparently, neither Dr. Dre nor Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine are happy about 50 Cent coming out with his own headphones that will directly compete with Beats by Dre.

So, in true 50 Cent fashion, the controversial rapper to Twitter and aired all of his grievances towards his former label mate and boss (50 was once signed under Interscope when Eminem — Dr. Dre’s protege — first introduced him to the rap game).

“I guess I’m not going to be on detox lol,” 50 Cent started. “Jimmy Iovine and Dre mad at me cause I’m doing sleek by 50. I don’t get it, when they did [their] deal I didn’t get upset. Now I’m mad they didn’t put me or EM in that deal. F*ck this sh*t I QUIT,” the rapper continued.

Now Dr. Dre has responded and even threw a little shade at 50 Cent’s new line of headphones. When asked by TMZ about the “beef” between himself and fiddy, Dre brushed it off COMPLETELY, saying:

“I never heard of his headphones.”

OUCH!!!! Did the Doc just fire off some shots? Sure does sound like it!

Eminem and friends rocked the stage last night (Sun. Feb 13) as they performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

With Adam Levine on the keys, Em’s set opened up with a performance of the Rihanna-assisted single “Love the Way You Lie (Part II).” After Em rapped his verse for the song, the performance then transitioned into the Skylar Grey featured “I Need a Doctor,” where Dr. Dre came out to do his verse at the end.

Game teams up with R&B singer Ashanti in his newest music release, the Dr. Dre produced “Soft Rhodes,” lifted from the rapper’s newly released Purp & Patron mixtape (hosted by DJ Skee & Funkmaster Flex).

The Doc has dropped his first video in over a decade titled “Kush” featuring Snoop Dogg and Akon. The track is the first single off Dre’s long awaited album Detox, due in stores around February 2011.

Dr. Dre says “Yes, Detox is coming” on the cover of the new December 2010/January 2011 issue of XXL Magazine.

“I’m really feeling it now. My energy has been back and forth with the record, tussling with doing it out of obligation, as opposed to doing it because I really feel it. My feelings about it have been going up and down. Now I’m in that place where I’m really feeling it, and it’s coming out right. It’s like, Yeah, I’m excited about it.

“The only part that has been pushing me back is just the fact that I’m getting older, and certain things to talk about… But I can incorporate other artists, new artists with this record, to say some of the things I won’t say. It’s been a little tussle in that area also, just because of age and being able to identify with the younger audience.” (XXL)

It was crazy. It’s crazy. It’s crazy because at one point we were very close and she was a really good person. It’s crazy when you see things not just with her but just all these things that are happening in Hollywood with people in music, with people in acting . . .

Famous people. Famous people are overdosing at alarming rates and—that almost sounded like a commercial. Wow.

Right. But they are. And it’s one of those things man where you’re famous, doctors will kiss your ass because they love the celebrity. “Oh, I can call up Eminem and get him on the phone right now. Oh, hi Marshall, how are you doing? Do you need that [prescription]?” There are doctors that will give you certain things just because of who you are.

We all know that Dr. Dre is known for spending 99% of his time recording studios. Well it appears that the super producer has been “free-loading” at Paramount Recording Studio.

It’s been reported by several media outlets that the studio’s management has invoiced the music great several times and was unsuccessful in getting Dr. Dre to pay the $1,220,500 owed. Dre was supposed to have the debt paid by July 13th and the studio received no money.

As of now, there’s been no word from Dr. Dre or his label Aftermath Entertainment concerning debt owed to Paramount Recording Studio.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber is on the move!

The Biebster recently got a chance to spend the day with Hip-Hop producer Dr. Dre in the studio and took to his Twitter to describe the experience.

“Got to be in the studio with the legend himself Dr. Dre. Made a couple beats and he gave me some advice…i was hyped. can u blame me?”

Dre later gave his endorsement of the Usher prodigy who he believes is helping break color lines in the music industry.

“He’s another artist that breaks the color lines. Everybody loves this kid and he seems like a good kid. More power to him.”

If that kid isn’t an Oreo inside out….we don’t know what he is! (LMAO)

Songwriters were honored Friday night (Jun 25) during the 23rd Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. R&B singer Ne-Yo, along with the songwriting/production team Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Terius “The Dream” Nash, were presented with the night’s top honor: “Songwriter of the Year,” while rapper Dr. Dre was honored with the “Founders Award,” which was presented to him by his good friend Eminem.

Other celebrities and honorees at Friday night’s ASCAP awards were Jermaine Dupri, his artist Dondria, singer Janelle Monae, rapper Gucci Mane (who performed during the show) and more. Even Ron Artest from the Los Angeles Lakers made a random appearance at the 2010 ASCAP awards.

Rappers/producers Dr. Dre and Timbaland hosted a surprise concert Wednesday night (Jun 23) at a graduation party at Culver City High School. Dre introduced Timbaland who performed his hits “The Way I Are,” “Promiscuous Girl,” “Say Something” and his most recent single “Carry Out” on a stage inside the school’s gym. Culver City High’s class of 2010 had no idea the Hip-Hop duo was going to be there. During his set, Timbaland asked the students: “Y’all got a curfew?”

The performance was sponsored by Interscope Records and Hewlett-Packard who are both teaming up in an effort to improve digital sound quality. The promo event was recorded for an online documented and featured an HP giveaway/raffle, photos and free food for those who attended. HP said they’d be donating over $10,000 worth of computer equipment to the school.

Cleveand Cavaliers star Lebron James will be the next celebrity to release his very own line of headphones with Monster Cable Products Inc. According to Noel Lee, the C.E.O. of Monster, athletes like Lebron need top quality headphones to help them focus before games.

If we can say anything about rapper 50 cent, we can definitely say the guy is good on timing! When you think 50 has finally fell off the face of the earth, he always manages to find a way to make his presence known. Just recently he sparked a lot of controversy when pics surfaced online of his tremendous weight loss. 50 (real name: Curtis Jackson) had to lose over 50 pounds for his upcoming movie “Things Fall Apart”, in which he plays a college football player who has been stricken with cancer his senior year.

But now, 50 Cent is back to his regular size and has a few things to say to all the critics. In a recent interview with Streetz On Fire, 50 talks about everything from his sudden weight loss to rumors about him and Dr. Dre no longer working together. On his sudden weight loss:
“My best-friend growing up lived across the street from me he actually died of cancer. That is what inspired me to actually commit to the project. In my head I was trying to make it as accurate as it was how he looked to me. It was tough like after like the third week.”

“I don’t know where that came from. I think it came from maybe him being in the studio with Game. And that is like…I still haven’t heard anything from the time dash was spent in there. So you don’t know how positive or negative or what that was. I still haven’t heard his record.”

It’s crazy how Dr. Dre is achieving so much success and hasn’t released an album in over 10 years. The “Forgot About Dre” rapper is going to be honored by ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) during an upcoming event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on June 25th. ASCAP President & Chairman Paul Williams had this to say about Dr. Dre’s most recent accomplishment:

“Dre is one of the most important voices in modern music, He created a unique, recognizable sound that dominated rap music in the early 1990s, and has played a major role in developing and launching the careers of some of the biggest names in the business. He continues to inspire artists and producers across all genres with his musical techniques, and we are very proud to honor him with ASCAP’s Founders Award.”

This is great news for Dr. Dre and his camp. 2010 is slated to be a big year for the hit maker with his highly anticipated 3rd studio album Detox scheduled to be released later this year!

Dr. Dre says that his new album Detox is almost done, but not quite ready to be released. On a recent episode of BET’s 106 & Park, the rapper was able to give a quick update about his highly anticipated 3rd studio album.

“The song with Jay-Z should be out next month. We’ll see how that goes,” the Doc told Terrence and Rocsi on Wednesday’s “106 & Park.” The first single, “Under Pressure,” features Jay-Z and production from Scott Storch. As for the album, Dre gave us a reason to want a short summer. “Hopefully at the beginning of fall,” he revealed. Storch recently told DJ Skee that the project is about three records away from completion. “I feel like I’m proud of it and here it is. It’s coming,” added Dre.

In addition to working on his new album, Dr. Dre has been busy promoting his “Beats by Dre” line of headphones, which also features earphones from Diddy (“Diddybeats”) and Lady Gaga (“Monster Heartbeats”). Dre and Diddy have been in New York promoting Diddybeats all week.

Singer (and “Dancing with the Stars” champion) Nicole Scherzinger hung out with Hip-Hop moguls Dr. Dre and Sean “Diddy” Combs at the launch party celebrating the release of Diddy’s brand new “Diddybeats” headphones at Underbar at W Union Square in New York City Wednesday night (May 26).

Rap moguls Dr. Dre and Diddy are officially business partners. The two Hip-Hop veterans teamed up to introduce “Diddybeats” in-ear headphones to the world at Best Buy in New York City’s Union Square yesterday (Wed. May 26).

Diddy, whose Bad Boy imprint now calls Dr. Dre’s Interscope recording label home, now joins the likes of Lady Gaga and Dr. Dre himself as artists with their own “Beats” branded premium headphones from Monster Cable. “Diddybeats” is the latest installment of Dr. Dre’s highly successful “Beats by Dre” headphones.

All Hip Hop caught up with Diddy at the launch event and asked how hands on he was in the development of his new Diddybeats headphones.

“It was a true partnership between (Dr.) Dre and I. He took care of the sound part of it; I took care of the fashion part of it. I wanted to make them look as fly as Ferraris, Private Jets, Yachts. I also wanted to come with the colors; powdered pink, white and the sleek black that goes perfectly with the iPad.”

A couple of weeks back, we told you about Jay-Z and Dr. Dre collaborating on their new (unreleased) single “Under Pressure” for Dre’s long-awaited Detox album. Well now, strong rumors are circulating that this new single will premiere live on stage during Jay-Z’s upcoming big performance at the Coachella Festival in Indio, California, which will go down this weekend.

That’s right! Dr. Dre may hit the stage for the first time in who knows how long to perform his new single with none other than Hovi! But why should we believe this? Keep in mind that Jay-Z is has become known for shocking his concert attendees with unexpected special guests which includes Nas and others.

None of this has been confirmed just yet though (and if it’s a surprise it won’t) but we will definitely keep you posted.

There has been all kinds of chatter about Jay-Z and Dr. Dre collaborating for Dre’s long-awaited album The Detox. Well here’s a photo of them back in February in the studio in Miami. Believe or not, a new track featuring the two superstar rappers is rumored to leak any day now. We’ll keep you posted…

We recently told you guys about The Game reuniting with Dr. Dre and Aftermath/Interscope, and we mentioned that it could possibly lead to 50 Cent leaving the whole Aftermath/Shady camp due to his beef with The Game. Well we are now getting word that Dr. Dre is also working with another artist whom 50 Cent publicly dissed and she goes by the name of Ashanti!

Yep… Dr. Dre is working with The Game and Ashanti and we are getting word that 50 Cent isn’t too pleased with this, and may be considering leaving Dr. Dre’s empire.

No surprise there. We expected 50 to eventually turn on Dre. It’s just in his nature to diss anyone for free press.

Well it looks like The Game has reconnected with Dr. Dre and Aftermath after several years of bad blood. The rapper made the official announcement recently via his Twitter page. Apparently, The Game has been in the studio collaborating with Dr. Dre on several projects including The Detox and his upcoming album R.E.D. which is expected to be released sometime this year.

The big question is what does 50 Cent think about this? Keep in mind that Dr. Dre and 50 Cent are still strongly linked via Aftermath/G-Unit. Could The Game’s reunion with Dr. Dre lead to some beef between Dr. Dre and 50 Cent? Knowing that 50 Cent is in desperate need of something to re-boost his music career after a hugely failed album, this doesn’t sound too far fetched does it? LOL…

Dr. Dre has teamed up with Diddy to release a new set of his high quality brand of headphones called “Diddy Beats” ($179) at CES 2010. An updated version of the solo Solo HD ($229) headphones and a new set of professional DJ headphones called “Spin,” priced at $349, were also added to Dr. Dre and Monster’s “Beats by Dre” line.

Being a fashion designer and a hip-hop mogul, Diddy wanted something that not only provided a high quality listening experience, but is also a fashion accessory as well:

“I wanted something that looked like fashion, but just wasn’t all about fashion,” Diddy continued.

Dressed in her signature cooky attire, pop singer Lady Gaga hosted an album signing for her new album “The Fame Monster” Monday (Nov 23) at a Los Angeles Best Buy. Her good friend rapper Dr. Dre was also on hand and the two posed for pics for the press.

The “Bad Romance” singer reportedly spent over $1,000 on Papa John’s pizza for her “little monsters” (fans) who were waiting to meet her outside.

“Sending all my little monsters little pizzas for waiting all night for me at best buy,” she Twittered. “I hope you’re hungry … eat up I love u!” She also thanked her fans for helping make The Fame Monster a hit on iTunes. “To all my beautiful fans, I love you more than anything,” she Twittered. “Thank u 4 making the fame monster number 1 on itunes. You are the only reward I need x gaga (sic).”

According to People.com, rapper/producer Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young Jr, apparently died of an heroin & morphine overdose. The drug test results had been pending for four months and it has now been confirmed by the LA County Coroner’s office on Friday.

“This case has been closed, it’s been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication,” coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told People.

On the morning of August 23, 2008, Andre, 20, was found unresponsive by his mother in their home located in Woodland Hills, CA.  Paramedics pronounced Young dead at the scene. His mother Jenita Porter told investigators that her son had been out late that night with his friends and recalls hearing him snoring around 5:30 a.m.

All Hip Hop is reporting that Dr. Dre‘s son, Andre Young Jr., was found dead in his home over the weekend:

Dr. Dre’s son has reportedly died, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner. The body of Andre Young Jr. was found in his Woodland Hills home on Saturday morning, says a report in the L.A Weekly. Andre Young Jr. was only 20.

Young went out on Friday night and came in about 5:30 A.M., but his mother found him unresponsive when she checked on him at 10 in the morning. She called 911 immediately.

The cause of death will be revealed after a toxicology report. Andre Young Sr., professionally known as Dr. Dre, has not released a statement on the death of his son.

Dr. Dre is currently working on his final album, Detox.

Singer & producer Pharrell Williams and designer Camille Miceli will unveil a new fine jewelry collection named Blason. The collaboration between the two will be launched with fashion house Louis Vuitton. Williams first teamed up with the prestigious fashion line in 2004, when the he and A Bathing Ape (known worldwide for their BAPES sneakers) creator Nigo created the “Millionaire” line of sunglasses for the company. The Blason jewelry line, which features four separate themes, features yellow and white gold in diamonds.

The average price tag for the pieces will be anywhere from $2,000 to over $600,000. Williams and Miceli will debut the expensive line to the public on January 21st, followed by a private party at a Mansion in Paris. While details have yet-to-be announced, the Blason jewelry line will be available in Louis Vuitton stores across the world starting this spring. If you’re going to miss the $2,000 after it’s gone, then I suggest you not take part in the purchase of this highly expensive line of jewelry! I don’t want anyone to get put out on the streets because they decided to use the money for their mortgage and utility bills to buy some jewelry from Pharrell.

DR. DRE ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW LINE OF HEADPHONES

Spring 2008 will also see “Beats by Dre,” a collaboration between rapper/producer Dr. Dre and Monster, a leading manufacturer of professional grade audio equipment, and Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope, Geffen, and A&M Records. These headphones are specially designed to relay audio the way music producers like Dre hear it when they’re listening to it in the studio with high-performance loudspeakers, amplifiers and a host of other expensive equipment. The headphones utilize a new driver technology to capture a dynamic range, low bass and clarity that conventional models can’t handle. The headphones are the first product Dr. Dre has ever endorsed (no really it is, look it up) and he says he didn’t just slap his name on it and take credit. The world-class producer actually played a part in crafting its sound.

“When I’m making a track, I’m trying to capture the sound that makes me go ‘Now that’s the shit!’ and I want that reaction from everybody who hears it,” Dre said via statement. “I spend a lot of time in the studio listening to my music through headphones … with ‘Beats,’ people are finally going to hear it the way they should: the way I do.”

Beats by Dr. Dre will come with a carrying case and Monster’s iSonitalk, a microphone/headphone adapter for iPhones. The headphones will hit the market in the spring with a price tag of about $400. I wonder how many wanna-be-producers / “MySpace” artists are gonna get their hands on these! Probably none…

JAY-Z WANTS TO OPEN FIVE NEW 40/40 CLUBS

Eff being a business man … Jay-Z is a business himself! He’s supposedly creating a “super label” with Apple, and now I hear he wants to open up 5 new 40/40 clubs. And 1 of them is in a totally different continent!

This is what a source whispered to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six:

“Jay is focusing on opening five more 40/40 clubs. He opened Las Vegas on New Year’s and up next are Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, London and Houston… He just didn’t have time to be president of Def Jam.”

Jay-Z currently has three 40/40 clubs. One in the aforementioned Las Vegas, one in New York City, and one in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Damn Jay! Talk about making moves…
