After years of estrangement, DMX had an emotional reunion with his mother on a recent episode of VH1′s “Couples Therapy.”

For the first time ever, X’s mother told him “I Love You” and explained her reasons for abandoning him at a young age.

DMX opened up about his broken relationship with his mother on a recent episode of VH1′s “Couples Therapy.”

Breaking down into tears, X revealed that he hasn’t spoken to his mother in years, and throughout his life has never been told “I love you” from her.

“I used to always turn to drugs when I was feeling a certain way and now that I’m not doing that, sometimes the pressure builds up, I’ll call [someone] and say, I just wanted to say ‘Mommy.’ I wanted to say that word. Mommy. Not ‘My mother,’ you know, I wanted to say mommy. I just wanted to talk to her. I haven’t talked to her in years and I just wanted to be able to say ‘Hi, mommy. I love you.’ Never once did she [say she loved me.] …. [crying] …. You know what, I think people lose sight of the fact that no matter how strong you are, as a man, no matter how tough you are, we all need to be somebody’s baby.”

During his epic interview, X spoke on his former friend Jay-Z, once pretending to be a cop, his hate for Drake, and more.

“I don’t like anything about Drake,” he said when asked about the Young Money rapper. “I don’t like his f**king voice. I don’t like what he talks about. I don’t like his face. I don’t like the way he walks. Like, nothing. I don’t like his haircut. I might just… Let me shut up, I’ll just stop right there.”

DMX is in the works to reunite his old rap crew and already has a few members on board.

X tells TMZ that the crew will be making a big comeback tour and so far Swizz Beatz, Drag-On, Murda-Mook have all signed on.

Eve and The L.O.X. are the only ones who haven’t committed yet….but that’s only because he hasn’t reached out to them yet.

“We are all family and we’re going to come back stronger than when we left … It’s going to take the nation by storm,” X told TMZ.

Last night, rapper DMX was performing in Long Beach when some random guy jumped on stage and attacked him right in the middle of his set! Nonetheless, X was able to recover quickly and kept the show going without missing a beat.

DMX is still cleaning up at random places in South Carolina.

The “Where My Dogs At” rapper was spotted over the weekend vacuuming the carpet at Club Universal in Spartanburg, SC … and just like the last time, TMZ has all the details:

Just days after mopping up at a Waffle House last week, DMX was once again spotted cleaning up his act — vacuuming the carpet at a nightclub in South Carolina … and TMZ has the video proof.

As for what prompted the latest cleaning spree at Club Universal in Spartanburg Saturday night — X tells us, he just loves to clean and if he can help out the people who do it for a living, all the better … “Broom, vacuum, mop, whatever … it’s a rewarding experience.”

The rapper adds, “What can I say? I like clean sh*t and the supplies were available.”

Rapper DMX has been making a lot of headlines recently, with him randomly appearing at Waffle Houses, and helping Dr. Drew save lives and all.

And in addition to all of his good deeds comes news that X will be collaborating with Hip-Hop titan Eminem on an upcoming track!

“That right there, I’m going to be honest with you, it was just an idea we were throwing around and it kind of just stuck — I probably should give all the credit to that to my man Ali and [Def Jam executive] Randy Acker,” producer veteran Cavie told SOHH.

“They got ties with Marshall [Eminem] and they were like, ‘We’re good with Marshall and we’re good with X. How can we make this record happen?’ To my knowledge, they’ve already had the phone conversation, they’ve already spoke, everything is good. They talked on a real level. I don’t want to get too deep into it but they’ve already spoken and the record is in the making. We’re just waiting for all of the particulars to come flying. We’re going to see hip-hop history.”

We’re definitely looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. DMX + Eminem = Total Mayhem!

Remember the Nickelodeon show “100 Deeds for Eddie Mcdowd?” Most of you probably won’t, but for those who do … DMX is that Australian Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix doing good deeds so he can be turned back into normal person.

On Halloween, the “Where My Dogs At” rapper stopped by a Waffle House in Greenville, SC and volunteered to mop the floor for a worker who was a huge fan.

According to TMZ:

DMX sentenced himself to hard labor yesterday, relieving a lowly Waffle House employee from mop duty … and performing the filthy chore himself!

The photos were snapped at a WH in Greenville, South Carolina — where the rapper stopped in for some late night eats .. after a Halloween party at a nearby strip club.

The rapper tells us, one of the workers — who was mopping the floors at the time — said he was a big fan … and X was so touched, he grabbed the mop and finished the guy’s job for him.

The Dog tells us, “I was in a good mood and felt that I would do that for him since it was 4am and [the employee] had been working all night.”

The rapper adds, “The minute you get too big to mop a floor or wipe a counter, that’s the exact minute you have life f**ked up.”

We’re starting to like this new and improved X. Now all we need him to do is just keep this up for the rest of his life and all will be well. (LOL)

DMX is done with all the white powder…..or at least that’s what he claims.

The Ruff Ryder recently told TMZ that his 10 kids have motivated him enough to quit cocaine.

“Everyone was taking advantage of me with my finances, trying to put me in the direction to fail. I have 10 kids. I have to drive them in the right direction, so I let the cocaine go.”

X also claims to be on a spiritual road and is kicking all of the negativity out of his life.

“I am on a spiritual road to do right in my life. I am leaving out all negativity and going to stay on the right road to positive.”

His pastor is also vouching for him and says you can already see he is a changed man.

“When [DMX] first came to my church he looked broken, sad, and full of struggle. Now you see a dramatic change. You see that the drugs and alcohol aren’t in his life.”

We hope all this isn’t a flam and X stays clean and out trouble for a while!

One of the biggest surprises of the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards was when DMX, whose appearance wasn’t even advertised, hit the stage and performed a medley of his hits.

Joined by Swizz Beatz as his hype-man, the growling human dog got the crowd amped up with his performances of “Get at Me Dog,” “Ruff Ryders Anthem” and “Party Up.”

DMX may have bumped his head too many times in jail … because the troubled rapper has revealed that he plans on suing Arizona cops for his arrest yesterday.

DMX claims Arizona police had NO RIGHT hauling him into jail yesterday — insisting there is NO POSSIBLE WAY he was driving more than 100 miles per hour … and now he’s ready to sue the cops!

X — who was allegedly going 102 mph in a 65 zone — tells TMZ, “I was going 85 miles per hour … I know for a fact I didn’t go more than 90.”

X adds, “I’m used to driving fast, I’m a New Yorker … but I constantly look at the speedometer when I’m driving … I need to make sure I don’t drive too fast.”

The rapper says he knows he was technically speeding, but he feels the cops abused their authority by putting him behind bars … even though his rap sheet takes longer to read than “War and Peace.”

“I plan on suing … and I plan on suing for harassment,” DMX says … adding, “I’m in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed.”

Today marks a sad day in the music industry: the 10th anniversary of Aaliyah’s tragic death.

10 years ago today, Aaliyah Dana Haughton, the young R&B singer known worldwide as Aaliyah, was tragically killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas, putting a sad end to a promising career.

Just before her untimely passing, Aaliyah (born in Brooklyn, and raised in Detroit) had just released her third, self-titled album and had filmed the music video for the project’s second single “Rock the Boat.”

She was also in the middle of filming a new movie “Queen of the Damned,” following her blockbuster debut in “Romeo Must Die.” (FYI: Aaliyah was also in negotiations to star in the “Matrix” as well as “Honey” and a re-make of “Sparkle.”)

But all of that was cut short on August 25th 2001 when Aaliyah, who was 22 at the time, and members of her entourage died after their plane crashed shortly after take-off from the Bahamas following the “Rock the Boat” video shoot.

Though Aaliyah was only able to release three albums during her short time here with us, each one left a significant impact on the music scene then, and still shows its influences today.

“I met Aaliyah when I was about 15 [yrs old]. It was I think at a rehearsal for the Soul Train Awards and someone introduced us. I was so excited to meet her because she was the first girl on the scene. She came out before Monica and I did, she was our inspiration. At the time, record companies did not believe in kid acts and it was just inspiring to see someone that was winning and winning being themselves. When I met her I embraced her, I was so happy to meet her. I told her how much I loved her. She said the same thing about me and we connected. It was a great moment I’ll never forget.

“We [later] performed at a radio event together. I remember going on before her and I could see her in a section where they kept the artists and she was just bobbing her head, really being supportive. It felt like [there] was no competition, or any of that. She was just very, very supportive. Then when she got on to perform, the entire place was singing her songs word for word, and so I was I. I was trying to sing louder than everybody else so she can hear that I knew her stuff and that I was being just as supportive as she was to me.

“There was a moment when I won at, I think, [Soul Train] Lady of Soul [Music Awards]. She sent me flowers saying how proud she was and ‘congratulations.’ I just thought that was so angelic and sweet of her. People say that Aaliyah is angelic and that just made me feel like ‘wow, that’s a moment.’ Other artists supporting another artist when everybody’s trying to put you against each other, which was very special. I was like ‘whoa, that’s really big of her.’”

Monica

“The first time I met her, she was extremely quiet. You [weren't] going to get a lot of words out of Aaliyah in a first meeting. It takes a lot of time for her to warm up to people because she had this shyness… I’ve never seen [Missy Elliott] in the type of turmoil and pain that she was in after Aaliyah passed because there’s no replacing the type of friendship that her and Missy had.”

Ciara

“She was true to who she was and she didn’t seem to care about it. The core of her art is to me, heavily, heavily, urban based… It never felt like she was trying to reach across or do anything more than just keep that cool, soulful, heavy, urban core about it… I really respect that and I appreciate that.”

Estelle

“Her purity of voice was incredible… Her vocals and style is what had her stand out above and beyond everyone. When I listen to her voice now, I think, ‘She was killing it. She was a beast.’”

Keyshia Cole

“When I found out that she [had] passed that night, I just cried [while] on the tour bus. That’s amazing for someone to have that affect on other people’s lives. I think why it affected me so much without me knowing her is because she seemed to have a beautiful soul.

“[There was] something about her spirit. She connected before reality TV, before any of that happened in our era. It was something about her that made you connect to her. She seemed like she had a beautiful soul.”

“When I was on tour her and Joel Silver came to my dressing room to see if I wanted to be a part of the movie. Most people would have their people call, but she came herself.

“I’m like, ‘Is this a trick question? You have to ask me if I want to be in a movie with Aaliyah? Hell yeah.’ We [then] met up in Vancouver to [do] Romeo Must Die. She had a presence on TV that was incredible. It was sexy but kind of gangster.

“We did the [Back in One Piece] video in Mount Vernon and Yonkers. I got to bring Aaliyah to the hood. Not many people can say that. She was easy to talk to and down to earth. Aaliyah made you feel comfortable, with her and with yourself. That’s one hell of a combination.”

“Half these chicks that are doing it right now wouldn’t be doing it [if she were still here]. Aaliyah would be on top. As far as I’m concerned she’s still on top.

“Thank you,” DMX says she would tell Aaliyah if still here. “Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for memories. They’re all priceless.”

For what seems like the thousandth time, DMX has, once again, been arrested for some dumb sh*t!

Law enforcement tells TMZ … the rapper was arrested again, after being pulled over last night in Arizona for driving 102 mph in a 65 zone. And for good measure, Mr. X was driving on a suspended license … so cops arrested him.

He was booked for speeding, reckless driving, and the suspended license — and has since been released on bond.

This makes DMX’s 10th time being busted in Arizona.

He was just released from jail last month after serving time in prison for violating his probation last year.

When is this guy gonna clean himself up and get his sh*t together???

This will be X’s first track since being released from prison.

The rap star was released from prison in Yuma, Arizona earlier today.

According to All Hip Hop, X was greeted by a small group of friends and family upon his release.

He plans on spending the rest of the day with his daughter and in the studio. “I spoke to my daughter, I just got off the phone with my wife. I’m going to go see my daughter while the sun is up then I’m going to be in the studio man,” he said.

This isn’t surprising……

DMX has extended his stay behind bars.

According to TMZ, the troubled rapper was supposed to be released tomorrow … but has scored some extra time in jail after being caught with drugs in his cell. But that’s not all….

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, DMX broke SEVERAL rules in Yuma state prison since January — including drug possession, failing or refusing a drug test, smoking when he wasn’t supposed to, being disrespectful, disruptive, and disorderly … the list goes on.

A rep for the prison wouldn’t specify what kind of drug officials found on the rapper.

All told, DMX had seven disciplinary infractions — and we’re told, he’ll be stuck in Yuma prison for AT LEAST another week … and possibly much longer.

X was supposed to be released tomorrow, seven months after he was sentenced to serve time for a probation violation.

The actor’s lawyers filed a brand new appeal Friday (Dec 17), asking the court to let him out of prison (temporarily) so that he can take his tax evasion case to the Supreme Court.

According to the documents — filed in Florida — Snipes wants the U.S. Court of Appeals to overturn a decision that denied him bail last week … right before he entered Federal Prison. Snipes’ lawyers want SUPCO to determine if Wesley should get a new trial because of alleged juror bias during his tax evasion case.

In other “jailbird news,” DMX was sentenced to a year in prison after he pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his probation.

The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, failed to check in with his probation officer after was arrested back in November following a concert performance, and is headed RIGHT BACK to prison for the umpteenth time this year.

X just turned 40 years old Saturday (Dec 18), so it might be almost time for him to act his age :)

DMX (real name: Earl Simmons) has landed himself in prison again for the umpteenth time (we’ve seriously lost count). This time the rapper was arrested for failing to check in with his probation officer. According to TMZ, X’s probation revocation hearing is set for November 24th, where he’ll probably be sentenced to … you guessed it … more jail time.

Is this guy ever going to learn??? SMH……. Some things never change!

Rapper DMX has somehow managed to land himself right back into the slammer after being released from an Arizona prison earlier this month (July 6th).

According to TMZ, DMX (real name: Earl Simmons) turned himself into authorities in L.A. yesterday afternoon for violating his probation on a 2002 reckless driving conviction. X was placed on probation after pleading no contest to the crime, but since then has violated his probation and has been ordered to serve 90 days in jail.

We said he would be right back in there. Once a jail bird, always a jail bird!

Troubled rapper DMX was released from an Arizona prison Tuesday (Jul 6) after serving four months of a six month sentence. His criminal defense attorney Glenn Allen confirmed his early release from prison to XXL.

X was arrested March 9th on charges of violating his probation, all relating to his highly publicized cocaine abuse. He was also on probation for throwing a food tray at an officer when he got locked up on drug, theft and animal abuse charges last year.

How much you wanna bet he’ll be back in jail by the end of the year? Show of hands… (LOL!)

Dr. Drew Pinsky, from VH1′s Celebrity Rehab, asked the judge to let him treat the rapper on his show instead. DMX’s attorney says the rapper might be up for that, but nothing’s been confirmed just yet.

“He’s been battling addiction for some time and he’s in need of treatment. We’re hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him,” says DMX’s attorney Gary Jenkins.

DMX can’t seem to stay out of trouble to save his life! This guy had the nerve to verbally admit to his PO that he has been continuously doing using cocaine, which is a clear violation of his probation. After his confession, the officer quickly threw the washed up rapper into jail. Now we getting word from several sources that DMX is seeking help from the famed Dr. Drew Pinsky to help him with his drug addiction. Can you imagine DMX being on the next season of “Celebrity Rehab?”

Rapper DMX owes Uncle Sam (also known as the IRS) over $1.5 million in back taxes. The state of New York filed a lien against the rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) and his wife Tashera in both January of this year and March 2006.

The rapper also owes the New York State Tax Commission $44,357 and $370,460 and liens were filed against the couple in 2005 and 2006 to collect the monies owed.

He is also said to owe the IRS (in the state of Arizona) from past incomes earned back in 2002, 2003 and 2005, totaling over $600,000.

DMX is the latest of hip hop stars to have a run in with the IRS. Some of our other big name rappers who aren’t on good terms with Uncle Sam right now are Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, MC Hammer and Method Man, who have all been sued by the IRS for delinquent taxes. Looks like DMX has some catching up to do before they put his azz in the dogpound!

Ashanti sure is looking good these days! It’s hard to believe Nelly let all of that go. She and Ja Rule reunited on stage at the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Wednesday night (Sep 23), which saw performances from Wale, Kid Rock, Method Man & Redman, Eminem and more. The ceremony honored the pioneers of Def Jam along with the people, past and present, who helped create the label and build it into what it is today. Hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan, the show is set to make its television debut only on VH1 on Tuesday, October 13th at 9 pm.

It’s only right that the first Def Jam artist to be honored was the label’s foundation and face for so many years, LL Cool J. The Roots started it off with “Rock the Bells.” Black Thought ripped the first verse of the record, then gave way for a special guest: Eminem. Last year, Slim Shady publicly expressed his love for LL during a phone prank on DJ Tony Touch’s Shade 45 radio show. Spitting the second verse of “Rock the Bells” on Wednesday night, Em sounded almost exactly like the legend who inspired him. “Now I’m worldwide known/ Whether you like it or not/ My one-man band is Cut Creator…/ When he’s on the fader/ What’s my DJ’s name?” “Cut Creator!” The crowd yelled. Later, Kid Rock paid tribute to LL with “I’m Bad.” The Kid also DJed during the show, as did Ed Lover.

The second performance was from one of Def Jam’s signature groups, Public Enemy. Chuck D was immediately electrifying with the opening words for “Rebel Without a Pause”: “Yes, the rhythm, the rebel.” Chuck still has one of the most recognizable and commanding voices in all of music, not just rap. Flavor Flav came out wearing a white tuxedo jacket, matching top hat and a black bow tie. PE arguably had the performance of the night with help from the Roots, S1W and Boots Riley. The Long Island-bred rap chiefs were just born for the stage. The entire crowd was on their feet cheering. After their performance, Flav was seen talking to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in the audience.

Another bricklaying squad for the house that Russell and Rick built was, undoubtedly, the Beastie Boys. KRS-One, Wale and the Gym Class Heroes did a rocking rendition of “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” Travis McCoy, who wore a black T-shirt with the names “DJ AM” and “Roc Raida” in the shape of the Run-DMC logo, took on the first verse. The Blastmaster, who is a former HHH honoree himself, took verse two and ended by saying, “Adam, get well soon,” referring to Adam Yauch, who is currently battling cancer. Wale finished off the song and later paid tribute to Kanye West, wearing a backpack and rapping “Touch the Sky.”

When Onyx performed “Slam” it felt like the group had stepped out of a time capsule: They looked almost exactly the same and still had that insane energy that made them famous. During his verse, Sticky Fingaz climbed on top of a large speaker. Rather than climb down when he finished, Stick climbed into the balcony. Other performers included Rick Ross, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Redman, Method Man, Mary J. Blige, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Chrissette Michele, Warren G, Trey Songz, the reunion of Ashanti and Ja Rule, Ludacris and DMX — many of whom teamed up with the Roots for a show-closing medley of Def Jam hits.

Offstage, Ja Rule and DMX had their own reunion. The two came up together as close friends and later turned to bitter enemies, even dissing each other on records. As X was walking out, Ja was returning to his seat, and the pair saw each other, hugged and talked for a few moments.

Rapper DMX walked the Red Carpet of the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Wednesday night (Sep 23) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City. His appearance at this year’s show marked his first public appearance/performance in at least three years. And we all know all of the drama he’s been getting himself into in the meantime.

Your boy DMX is finally taking the steps to get the help that he needs to overcome his recently obtained drug addiction with VH1′s hit “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” reality series. The troubled rapper will be among several celebrities on the third season of the show, which will follow them as they struggle to move forward from drug and alcohol addictions with the help of renowned addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky, who also serves as the show’s host.

News of DMX being a part of the cast was released by the show’s resident drug counselor Bob Forrest. Past participants include former police brutality victim Rodney King and porn star Mary Carey as well as former professional wrestler Chyna, Family Matters star Jaimee Foxworth and actors Daniel Baldwin, Brigitte Nielsen and Jeff Conaway.

No word on when the new season will air or when they’ll begin filming, but DMX being on the cast will definitely make this show a must see!

CHARLES BARKLEY ARRESTED FOR SUSPICION OF DUI » Your boy Charles Barkley was busted by the cops because they suspected he was driving under the influence of alcohol a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix, Arizona. An officer spotted Sir Charles as he ran a stop sign at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2008 in Scottsdale’s Old Town area, a reportedly trendy spot in the Phoenix area. But anyway, when the news hit the web, the former NBA star immediately released a statement to the press:

“I am disappointed that I put myself in that situation,” Barkley said in a statement to The Associated Press. “The Scottsdale police were fantastic. Now it is a legal matter and I will not comment any further as it is a legal matter.”

According to reports, 45-year-old Barkley failed field sobriety tests after the officer who pulled him over smelled alcohol on his breath. He was subsequently arrested, but refused to submit to a breath test. He was instead given a blood test, of which the results aren’t available yet. After a short time in jail, Barkley was cited and released. Police described Barkley as cooperative, and to make sure people didn’t give them the “side-eye,” they mentioned that it was customary to release people after a DUI arrest.

And what about Barkley’s reason for being in the area? You know that whole, “You have the right to remain silent” mumbo jumbo? Charles apprently didn’t give a f**k because he told police he was on the way to receive a favor from a friend of his, or as he so eloquently put it, to go “get a bl** job.” He said he had been there a week before, but she gave him “the beset one he ever had in his life,” and he was looking to for a second round that night.

No word on if the police actually asked Barkley where he was going or if Barkley just decided he wanted to tell the po-po of his whereabouts. We’ll let you know as soon as we do!

DMX HOME ROBBED AND GOING INTO FORECLOSURE » Your other boy, DMX, has fallen on rough times too! No surprise there, right? The rapper’s big mansion in Arizona is now facing foreclosure sitting on the market for $429,000. The current price tag is nearly $200,000 less than he paid for it when he bought it in 2003. But you know he had that whole legal ordeal with the dogs, and his infamous drug addiction and with him being away for it for so long, it’s in shambles. But had he kept in proper condition, it would be worth nearly $650,000, even in this economy, according to the home’s real estate agent.

According to Earle (DMX’s government name) and his wife, Tashera, after they separated, no one took care of the home, which explains its notably poor condition. They also stopped paying the cleaning service that would go in and tidy up every now and then when the Simmons’ were away. All of this, in addition to a SWAT team busting down the doors and busting through windows in May 2008, exposed the Simmons’ home to burglars, who have removed nearly all valuables in the house, including a few ATVs.

GENERAL MOTORS CANCELS 50 CENT-SPONSORED TRUCK » General Motors is “broke,” so in an attempt to cut costs, since they know they’re not getting of our money in the form of a “government bailout,” they’ve decided to not go on with their idea of a 50 Cent-sponsored vehicle. The proposed Pontiac G8, a two-door, six-foot bed truck-like vehicle was scheduled to debut in North America in 2010. The vehicle was first introduced as “The G8 Sport Truck” last March at the New York International Auto Show.

He’s wanted for animal abuse, drug possession and theft of services charges for defrauding a local clinic of $7,500 in services back in April when he used a fake name to escape medical bills. His friends say he’s in rehab right now trying to kick his long-time drug habit.

If he doesn’t post a $120,000 cash bond by tomorrow, he’ll be extradited back to Arizona and they’ll handle him there.

Now, our question: What the hell was he doing at Scott Storch’s house?

Reports are saying that DMX was admitted to a Miami hospital yesterday for “fear of stroke,” but the coke head’s lawyer wouldn’t confirm whether or not those reports are factual.

Rapper DMX was admitted to an Aventura, Fla., hospital yesterday (Sept. 22), according to his laywer Bradford Cohen, a day before he was scheduled to appear in an Arizona court. While Bradford wouldn’t confirm media reports alleging his admittance was due to “fear of stroke,” he did say, “It was serious enough at the time but ultimately he should be OK.”

“It was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility. He spent the night there last night and he will probably spend tonight there as well,” Cohen told Billboard.biz. “I don’t think it’s going to be an ongoing thing or a life-threatening situation. He’s going to be alright.”

ROMEO PICKS COLLEGE BASKETBALL OVER FILM ROLE » Rapper/actor Romeo has reportedly passed up on the opportunity to star in a film so that he can focus 100% of his time on his freshman year in college. The young entrepreneur will be attending and playing basketball USC (University of Southern California) in the fall.

According to a press release from an outlet called “Hollywood Movie Report,” the actor was supposed to star in “Sweetwater,” a biopic about the first African-American player signed by the NBA. But the release stated that “he could not appear in a film related to basketball and remain eligible to play for his college team due to NCAA regulations.”

Sunset pictures, the production company behind the film, says that they fully support Romeo’s decision and has plans on working with him after he completes college in 2012.

SCOTT STORCH’S MIAMI MANSION UNDERGOING FORECLOSURE » How is that a person can be responsible for so many hit records, and have so much money, but have nothing to show for it? Well just ask Scott Storch how he did it! Word on the sidewalk is that the hit-maker is on the verge of losing his $10 million mansion to SunTrust. According to the Palm Beach Post, Storch reportedly took out two loans with SunTrust worth a combined total of $7.75 million to purchase the house, and now the bank is foreclosing on it because he has not made payments in several months, despite borrowing close to 200 g’s from close friends.

In addition to possibly losing his home, the guy has a warrant out for his arrest for not paying child support. Kids, just because you make millions doesn’t mean you have to spend ALL of it on a damn house! Not to mention the jewelry, the cars, the clothes, and the hoes. DMX PLEADS “NOT GUILTY” TO IDENTITY THEFT » This DMX guy is a character, I swear. It has been reported that the cracked out rapper decided to use yesterday’s court appearance in Phoenix as an opportunity to plug an upcoming album that no one probably even cares about. After pleading not guilty to felony charges of theft and identity theft, he left the hearing and rapped: “If you ever fall down, get back up,” he rapped. “Drop something, stop fretting, pick that … back up, stand for something or fall for everything, wait for the right pitch or miss with every swing.” The 37-year-old rapper, real name: Earl Simmons, is due to appear in court again on August 12th to face charges of drug possession and cruelty to animals, stemming from an incident in May of this year. Somebody just needs to lock his ass in jail and throw away the key. He’s apparently a danger to himself and the people surrounding him.

RICK ROSS WAS A CORRECTIONS OFFICER BACK IN THE DAY » Over the past couple of days, rumors began to spread about rapper Rick Ross‘ past employment as a corrections officer in Dade County, FL, and it all started with a comment made by fellow Miami rapper Trick Daddy. Of course, in true hip-hop fashion, Ricky Ross denied the allegations stating that his life was “100% real,” and accused his “haters” of photoshopping his face onto someone else’s body. LIL SCRAPPY RELEASED ON $1500 BOND » After spending close to 48 hours in prison, Lil Scrappy has been released from prison on $1500 bond. The Atlanta rapper was thrown into jail after attempting to save his sister from her abusive boyfriend. Scrappy and the boyfriend got into a fight, which resulted in the rapper suffering non-threatening stab wounds.

Police found marijuana, $8,000 in cash, and a gun in his car, which resulted in him being charged with felony use of a weapon and a possession charge. His sister’s boyfriend was not charged, and still has not been arrested.

DMX ARRESTED FOR USING A FAKE NAME » DMX was arrested … again … over the weekend. This fool just can’t stay out of jaill, can he?! The rapper was arrested sometime this past Saturday in a Phoenix mall, due to an alleged incident at the Scottsdale Mayo clinic in April where the rapper was being treated for an illness. He apparently used a fake name – “Troy Jones” – so that he could escape those medical bills.

On June 23rd, DMX was arrested in Miami for not having a valid driver’s license. On the 27th, police arrested the rapper in Miami for allegedly attempting to purchase cocaine and marijuana. And a few days later on July 2nd, he was arrested at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for missing a mandatory court date. This most recent arrest (July 19th) would make the 4th time in the past month, that the rapper has been arrested. But this time, so far, he hasn’t been released.

“He’s back in jail again,” Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told the Associated Press. “I don’t know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he goes in there, he gets out on bond. I’m hoping this is the one time he’s going to pay the penalty for his offense.”

Rapper DMX has been forced to pay out $1.5 million to the mother of his child, after he failed to turn up to a Maryland court on Friday to defend himself against allegations of defamation. The MC, real name Earl Simmons, was sued by Monique Wayne for defamation of character in 2006 after the star claimed he was raped by the woman during a hotel stay in Baltimore in 2003.

He told the magazine Sister 2 Sister, “She raped me. DNA says it is (my child). I don’t know. If I did (have sex with her), I would remember. It ain’t like she’s a pretty girl.” Wayne responded to the comments by filing a $6 million lawsuit against Simmons in Prince George’s County Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro, Md., in October 2006. Judge Thomas Smith ruled in Wayne’s favor on Friday when Simmons skipped the scheduled court hearing, ordering the rapper to pay her $518,400 in compensation, plus a further $1 million in punitive penalties, reports the New York Post.

Following the ruling, Wayne told the newspaper, “It’s not so much the price, it’s the point I wanted to get across. Let him think about what he’s going to say before he says it.”
