It’s been a while since Diddy really drove something big in pop culture, so he’s out to stake his claim on the millennial set with a brand-new dance craze: #DiddyJetDance.

Taking its name from the fact that Diddy does said dance in front of and on a jet, there doesn’t appear to be much logic or planning to the dance. Diddy is a man over 40 now so really, it pretty much comes off like an older, less agile version of the Dougie with some senior-citizen-style two-steps thrown in for good measure.

He didn’t even have the decency to come up with an original track to go with his new dance. He just bopped to Problem’s “Like Whaaat.” At least Soulja Boy came up with “Crank Dat” to along with his stupidly simple dance. Try harder, Sean.

The women of Danity Kane were one of the few success stories to come out of the train wreck otherwise known as Diddy’s “Making the Band” reality TV series. And now, it appears that the women have reunited for a possible comeback

TMZ caught up with Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres and Shannon Bex as they gathered for a lunch date. The only one missing was D. Woods, but let’s be honest: She was no one’s powerhouse vocalist any damn way so she won’t be missed.

Of course Diddy was nowhere to be found and the TMZ cameramen made sure to ask the girls about Diddy. Aubrey, who famously clashed with Diddy repeatedly, flipped her hair and said, “Who?” in response.

That Aubrey is an expert at throwing shade. She gave it to Donald Trump and Diddy real good.

According to TMZ’s sources, the girls plan on recording and touring, but the recording part might be difficult since they’re all without a major-label record deal.

Aubrey ALMOST made a comeback with her Oxygen reality TV show “All About Aubrey” and her single “Automatic,” but it looks her solo career is dead in the water at this point.

Personally speaking, I hope Danity Kane can get a second chance at relevance. We could use a good girl group on the scene again. And “Damaged” was the jam.

Rumors swirled last week that Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kate Upton were hooking up. According to the Daily News, the Hip Hop mogul and the Sports Illustrated cover girl were spotted at club LIV in Miami Wednesday night, and the two were said to be engaged in a passionate lip-lock. The outlet also reported that the two shared an intimate dinner in New York City the very next night.

This surprised no one considering Diddy has been linked to other famous blondes like Sienna Miller and Cameron Diaz.

But Diddy took to his Twitter account to address the speculation:

We have to say it’s a bit of a relief. Diddy is 43, and Kate Upton is just 20 years old. A male celebrity dating a girl who is young enough to be his daughter is an all too common occurrence, so it’s nice to know there’s one less couple like that in Hollywood.

And Jay-Z’s personal brand has never been better, as he has scored sponsorships with Duracell, Budweiser and Bacardi. You can probably bet that he’ll rake it in big with his stadium tour with Justin Timberlake this summer too.

Dr. Dre, worth $350 million, comes in at number three thanks to his highly successful “Beats By Drea” line of headphones, and YMCMB CEO Birdman, worth $150 million, followed at number four.

Dr. Dre is still supposedly at work on his ‘Detox’ album, which looks like it’s about to be released in Neveruary, but who needs a solo career when you can make bank like Dre selling headphones?

Last but not least in the top 5 list of Forbes’ Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists is Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. His music career has been comatose for the past few years, but he’s apparently still hideously wealthy thanks to his payout from Vitamin Water. Forbes estimated his net worth as being $125 million.

French Montana links up with his Bad Boy family for his new single “Ocho Cinco,” featuring Diddy, Red Cafe, Machine Gun Kelly and Los.

For the uninitiated, the song is basically an ode to women who are good at giving head — hence the title “Ocho Cinco.” Get it? Ocho. Cinco. Because he “head”-butted Evelyn Lozada! Hip Hop can be so witty at times. LOLz

Last night’s big game between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena brought out a number of celebs, including Kanye West & Kim Kardashian, Diddy, Lil Wayne and others.

Kim is currently shooting a new season of her “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami” reality show, so naturally, Kanye flew out to Miami and the two went out together to watch the Heat take on the Knicks.While there, they ran into Diddy, who was also spotted courtside, along with Lil Wayne and Mack Maine.

Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony was unable to play due to an injury, but he was seen chatting it up with his good friends LeBron James and Dwyane Wade before the game. And despite Carmelo (and also Amare Stoudemire) sitting out the game, with the latter recovering from a knee injury, the Knicks were able to defeat the Heat in a 20-point victory, 112 to 92.

It was all good just a week ago … or was it?

Chris Brown and his now ex girlfriend Karrueche Tran were spotted at Compound nightclub in Atlanta last Saturday night (Sep 29) after the BET Hip-Hop Awards — exactly 5 days before he publicly dumped her on the Internet.

Though they arrived side-by-side, if you look closely, you can clearly see the distance between them. Notice how Karrueche is holding her friend’s hand — instead of Chris’ — as they’re walking in the club.

And once they got inside, Chris ditched her to get drunk, hang out with his celebrity friends and tend to his hosting duties, forcing poor Karrueche to sit on the sidelines with her friends.

Judging by the sad look on Karrueche’s face in the pics, it makes you wonder … did Karrueche already know she was on the chopping block?

The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped Saturday (Sep 29) at the Boisfeuillet Jones Civic Center in Atlanta, and featured performances from Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, T.I., Future, Rick Ross and many others.

The show, hosted by Mike Epps, also featured a tribute to Violator manager Chris Lighty from Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Diggy Simmons and A Tribe Called Quest.

Hip-Hop legend Rakim also received the “I Am Hip Hop Icon” award from T.I. and Kendrick Lamar, who was honored as “Lyricist of the Year.”

Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, Kirko Bangz, Omarion, French Montana and Meek Mill also took to the stage during this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 9th.

It’s been a long time coming, but Diddy and Cassie have finally, and officially, CONFIRMED their status a couple!

The rumor mill has been speculating about a romantic link between the Hip-Hop mogul and his Bad artist for some time now, with both of them being extremely vague when referring to the person they’re in a relationship with on Twitter, in interviews, etc.

But it looks like there’s no need for secrecy anymore, and Diddy and Cassie are ready to tell the world (via Twitter & Instagram, of course) that they are TOGETHER and in love.

Kicking off the lovefest, Cassie posted an Instagram photo of Diddy riding on a jet ski along with the message “Love. Him.” And Diddy responded with his own picture of Cassie with the caption “I’m a very lucky man #knowthat.”

Now that Diddy and Cassie are an official couple, it’ll be interesting to see where they go from here.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Cassie with the baby bump carriage! (And not necessarily in that order)

Look out Kimye, there’s a new Hip-Hop couple in town!

R&B singer Monica played host to a HUGE party at Club Liv in Miami on the night of Mother’s Day (Sun May 13) that was attended by several of her music industry friends.

Among the big names spotted in the club were Ludacris, Diddy, Trina and Monica’s hubby Shannon Brown of the Phoenix Suns.

Lil Wayne also hit the stage for a three-song performance set, while comedian Kevin Hart took the mic every now and then to crack a few jokes with the crowd.

Comcast officially announced yesterday that they will be working with Sean “Diddy” Combs and Earvin “Magic” Johnson to launch their own branded cable channels!

The move comes as part of a congressional mandate given to Comcast to support TV networks owned by minorities. The independently owned channels will be broadly distributed to Comcast Cable systems between July 2012 and July 2014.

Diddy’s new network will be called “Revolt,” and will reportedly target young people. The channel is set to launch in 2013.

REVOLT is a revolution in music on television, a place where artists and their viewers come together and engage with technology and social media. It’s a channel where new artists can share their work in the way it was meant to be: raw, uncut, and uncensored. REVOLT was selected by Comcast to be the first music network to truly leverage the power of social media, fueling the live music dialogue and influencing the music culture for the video-centric generation.

Also launching their very own cable channel is Magic Johnson.

His TV network, called “Aspire,” will focus on what Johnson himself calls positive, uplifting images of African-Americans. The network will launch sometime in 2012.

Magic Johnson said in a statement, “Aspire will be a network that encourages and challenges African-Americans to reach for their dreams and will appeal to all generations. Aspire will celebrate our heritage, our groundbreaking achievements and the fearless talent that has shaped American culture. I’m most excited about Aspire creating opportunities for the new voices, new visions and the next generation of storytellers.”

Lots of people are comparing Diddy and Magic Johnson’s move to launch their own networks to Oprah launching her own network last year. However, hers isn’t doing so well right now, so it will definitely be interesting to see how this goes for Diddy and Magic.

Hollywood gathered on a somber note last night (Sat Feb 11) at Clive Davis’ 2012 Pre-Grammy Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where R&B legend Whitney Houston was found dead earlier in the day.

When the sad news broke, there were reports that the annual Clive Davis event would be canceled, but Davis — Houston’s longtime friend and mentor — said that the R&B/Pop icon “would have wanted the music to go on.”

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

Some of the many celebrities in attendance at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Richard Branson and Diana Ross included Diddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Jamie Foxx, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and more.

The star-studded event also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Marsha Ambrosius, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J and others. Monica and Brandy were slated to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”, but we’re told they were unable to because they were too devastated about Whitney Houston’s passing.

Diana Ross, who was being honored at the event, told a red carpet reporter, “I won’t be able to enjoy it,” when she was asked how she felt about being the night’s guest of honor.

“By now you have all learned of the unspeakably tragic news of our beloved Whitney’s passing,” Clive Davis said at the start of the evening. “I don’t have to mask my emotion in front of a room full of so many dear friends. I am personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me for so many years. Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight even though she wasn’t scheduled to perform.”

He continued, “Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.”

Congratulations are most definitely in order for Diddy‘s 18-year-old son Justin Combs, who has officially signed on to play football next year at UCLA!

Flanked by his family, including his proud multimillionaire father, his mother Misa Hylton and his grandmother Janice Combs, Justin — a 5-foot-9, 175-pound corner-back — signed a national letter of intent at the school on National Signing Day Wednesday (Feb 1) in Los Angeles.

“It was love at first sight,” Justin told reporters following the press conference. “When I stepped on the campus, I knew I was going to be a player there. I knew I just had to get there.”

Justin, who reportedly worked out with Jets star cornerback Darrell Revis in an effort to improve his game, accepted the full Division 1 scholarship to play football for the UCLA Bruins, which costs up to $54K a year to attend.

“It was worth it,” Justin said about signing with UCLA. “I got chills just signing it.”

Justin will go out to UCLA on June 24th and is looking forward to playing his first game for the Bruins.

“It’s going to be surreal at first but then at the end of the day you’ve got to go to work and you’ve got to get what’s yours and show why you’ve been working hard,” he said. “So I’m ready for that. I can’t wait.”

Last year when the news first broke, Sean “Diddy” Combs released a statement, calling his son’s commitment to UCLA one of the proudest moments of his life.

“This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about,” said Diddy in the statement. “Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream.”

Diddy is taking his business empire to the next level! The Bad Boy mogul is in the works to launch a music-themed cable network called Revolt.

Broadcasting & Cable reports:

Sources with knowledge of the Revolt playbook describe it as a music and music news channel with an urban skew. One described it as the old days of MTV, but for more of the African American audience. The venture is well funded, say the sources.

Former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is involved with Revolt, according to sources. In 2006, Schuon headed up a music channel called International Music Feed (IMF), which was acquired by Ovation TV before being discontinued.

So far, Diddy has been in communication with Comcast and Time Warner Cable about distributing his cable network. But neither parties wanted to comment at the time.

Diddy is aiming to launch Revolt by the end of year, preferably on December 12, 2012.

We can’t say we didn’t see anything like this coming. Hopefully Diddy can do it right!

As brand ambassador for Ciroc, you already know Diddy had to throw a huge New Year’s Eve Party to promote the world-famous Vodka brand.

The Hip-Hop mogul hosted one of many “Ciroc the New Year” parties held across the country on New Year’s Eve (Sat. Dec 31).

Held in Miami Beach, Florida, Diddy’s party featured many big name appearances from celebs who chose not to be photographed, like Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Rick Ross, Fat Joe and others.

Diddy’s right-hand man in the New Year’s Eve commercial is actor Frank Vincent, known for his roles in classic mob films like “GoodFellas” and “Casino.”

Last month, a new report from US Weekly claimed that the pair have been hooking up since Diddy first pursued Diaz during Oscars week back in 2008. “Since then, when she’s single, she’ll booty call him,” an insider said.

Diddy reportedly dropped around $95,000 for a 2011 piece by British artist Tracey Emin, which spells out in bright, neon letters “I Listen to the Ocean and All I Hear is You.”

As for that stylish sling Diddy was wearing to match his cheetah print outfit, a rep for the Hip-Hop mogul says he recently had minor surgery on his shoulder to fix an old injury, and otherwise, he’s A-ok!

Who knew that Diddy and Cameron Diaz have been dating off and on since 2008? (And Isn’t he supposed to be with Cassie?)

A new report from US Weekly claims that the pair have been hooking up since Diddy first pursued Diaz during Oscars week back in 2008.

“Since then, when she’s single, she’ll booty call him,” an insider said.

On October 24th, the Hip-Hop mogul and the actress were “inseparable” and “they had their hands all over each other” in a booth at a New York restaruant, an eyewitness recalled.

Just two short weeks later on November 11th, Diddy and Diaz, who recently broke up with her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees, were seen “making out” and “acting romantic,” said another source.

Reps for both stars say that Diaz and Combs are “just friends” and were meeting to discuss a possible film project. They didn’t explain the “making out” and “acting romantic” part though.

But back to Cassie, who Combs has been rumoredly dating for the past few years. What’s up with that?

“Diddy’s single whenever there’s a better offer on the table!” a friend said.

Sounds like Diddy has a few “friends with benefits.” Play on playa!

Miami rap legend Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell has issued a stern warning to all of the rappers out there (like Lil Wayne, Diddy, DJ Khaled, etc.) who he believes are simply mooching off of his city, instead of giving back.

Campbell, who lost the election for mayor of Miami after placing fourth, says that instead of rapping about Miami, partying it up at nightclubs and making it rain at stripclubs, Hip-Hop as a whole should be investing in youth programs and non-profits, and doing other things to help the community.

I’ve got a message for Lil Wayne, his Cash Money Brothers, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all the rappers from other parts of the country who now live in Miami. I’m tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community. I want to know when Lil Wayne is going to do more than show up courtside at the American Airlines Arena. Hell, it’s not like he paid for them anyway. You know he got comped.

This free loading and mooching of my city has got to stop. There used to be a day when out of town rappers were scared to throw their weight around Miami. It didn’t matter if they were coming from New York or Los Angeles, they knew better than to act like they owned this mother f–ker.
Artists knew better than to come to Miami and disrespect us. But now folks in Miami’s entertainment industry have gone soft, turning into a bunch of groupies just because they want to say they drank Rozay with the Cash Money crew.

Just cause Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled are from New Orleans doesn’t mean they don’t have to be a part of the community. They’re getting rich under fun and sun. They rap in their songs about King of Diamonds and LIV nightclub, where Lil Wayne was partying it up with Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks after they beat the Miami Heat for the NBA championship.

What kind of sell-out move is that? I want to see Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all their boys start doing more for Miami. I want to see them doing fundraisers to help youth sports and after school programs. I want to see them at FCAT rallies. I want to see them do like Pitbull who works closely with the Kiwanis Club in Little Havana and DJ Irie who puts on a charity weekend for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I’m giving them a deadline. They got until January 1. If I don’t see them giving back to the Magic City, I’m gonna have their Miami cards revoked. They won’t be getting into any more nightclubs. They won’t be able to go near our women. And Lil Wayne is gonna have to find floor seats for New Orleans Hornets home games because he won’t be allowed inside the Triple A.

T.I. had to scold Diddy after the Hip-Hop mogul, who Forbes say is on the way to be becoming rap’s first billionaire, got really violent with a fan for choosing to drink Grey Goose over Ciroc (the drink Diddy sponsors) at a BET Hip-Hop Awards after-party at Compound nightclub in Atlanta over the weekend!

In the video footage that is floating around the web, you can hear Diddy shouting obscenities at the man, like “Bitch ass n**gas, put that sh*t down, before I come smack that purple shirt off your ass!” before grabbing what appears to be a non-Ciroc alcohol beverage, and throwing it at the man, continuing with his alcohol-fueled rant.

“What the f**k are you gonna do, b*tch? F**king f*ggot ass light skin n**gas get the f*ck out of my face!” the rapper shouted.

Minutes later, T.I., who was just sprung from prison earlier this month and released from an Atlanta halfway house last Thursday, grabbed a microphone and begged Diddy to chill out, telling his friend, “I ain’t with none of that f*ck shit. I’d get the f*ck on up out this b*tch and let y’all handle it. I’ve done enough time.”

He continued, “Puff you got too much mother f**kin money for that sh*t, n**ga. Let them ni**gas drink what the f**k they want to drink. I love you n**ga … you know I will go to war with you, but come on man … let’s go.”

Forbes has released their list of the 20 wealthiest rappers in the Hip-Hop game … and you’ll never guess who’s at the top. (Just kidding, you probably can.)

For the fourth time in the past 5 years, Jay-Z, who earned $37 million over the past year, has topped the Forbes Hip-Hop Cash King List.

Coming in a close second with $35 million earned is Diddy, followed by Jay-Z’s rap protege Kanye West, who pulled in $16 million.

Lil Wayne and Birdman came in at numbers 4 and 5, tying with $15 million each, and Eminem and Dr. Dre followed them at numbers 6, 7 and 8, also tying, but with $14 million each.

Other rappers who showed up on the list were Ludacris ($12M), 50 Cent ($6M), Rick Ross ($6M), Wiz Khalifa ($11M), Drake ($11M) and Nicki Minaj ($6.5M).

50 cent may have rubbed off on her too much …. because TV show host Chelsea Handler isn’t the biggest fan of Diddy.

In the new issue of Hamptons Magazine, Handler revealed that she likes most rappers except for the Bad Boy mogul.

“P. Diddy was the only one I was like, ‘Get away from me.’ He’s so late all the time—maybe he won’t show up in the Hamptons until summer is over,” she said.

Pharell and Nelly on the other hand … get two thumbs up.

“Rappers are great interviews because they just don’t really care and they are willing to say anything. And I love that because that’s kind of how I am. They all hit on me. I love Pharrell and thought he was really sweet; Nelly, too.”

Diddy must have really crossed her the wrong way……Oh well.

According to XXL, Hip Hop current’s Queen Nicki Minaj, has broken ties with Diddy and James Cruz as far as her management goes, and has now enlisted the services of Gee Roberson and Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua over at Hip Hop Since 1978 to steer her career going forward.

Apparently Ms. Minaj was under the impression that Diddy would be more hands-on with her career, but was disappointed when she realized that wasn’t the case. The two reportedly parted ways on good terms.

Nikki’s new mgmt. team also oversees the careers of Kanye West, Drake and Young Jeezy – so it looks like  Young Money’s first lady will be in good hands.

Nicki has yet to comment officially on the rumor.

This past Friday (April 15), a lawsuit was filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs by a man who claims to have received a classic beat-down by the Hip-Hop mogul’s bodyguards last October at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Jabari Tilgham accused four of the Bad Boy CEO’s  bodyguards of assaulting him at an after party at Club Mansionwhere Tilgham worked as a photographer. Despite there being 12 other photographers present at the party, Tilgham believes he was singled out.

Not only is Diddy being sued, but the other defendants listed in the lawsuit are Bad Boy Entertainment, the four bodyguards and Club Mansion. A club security guard present at the event signed an affidavit confirming the accusations to be true.

“The Shiny One” has yet to comment on the suit.

Diddy threw his son Christian Combs a lucky 13th birthday celebration on April Fool’s Day in Los Angeles. The big bash saw appearances from the likes of Chris Brown, Nelly, Noah Cyrus (Miley Cyrus’ little sis) and others, and also featured a performance from young Christian himself!

“I definitely didn’t make my name in that way. I have sex with people because I love them, because they touch my heart, and because I want to potentially see a future with them. I definitely don’t approach sex as something fun to do on Friday night. I approach it with a lot of value. So that wouldn’t be somebody I’d be interested in sleeping with.”

On Keeping in Contact With Dawn Richard (of Danity Kane):
“Nobody talks to Dawn. We’ve all reached out and tried to pave the way and make that situation open and better. I guess that’s not something that she’s really wanting to do right now.”

Diddy-Dirty Money team up with Trey Songz and Rick Ross for their newest music video release “Your Love (Remix),” the latest single from Diddy’s Last Train to Paris album.

“To be honest, on that list, I was on the cover of Forbes back in ’98,” Diddy said. “I been on that list. I don’t really get caught up into the list. I think people think that I have that money actually sitting at home in the basement.”

The figure, according to Forbes, includes Puff’s current holdings and past earnings from public financial documents. The Bad Boy CEO confirmed this by humbly stating that, in order to have that much cash on hand, he would need to sell off all his companies and assets, something he takes great pride in.

“It’s really like if I sold all my companies, and I take pride in [building] something as a black man that’s worth that much,” Diddy said, but he added a warning with a laugh: “To everyone calling me for a loan today, I do not have that money today!”

Remember that extra bogus lawsuit worth $1 trillion dollars that was filed against Diddy by a woman accusing him of sexual assault, fathering her adult son and knocking down the World Trade Centers? Well, Diddy officially responded to the suit last week during a recent radio show appearance on Chicago’s 103.5 Kiss FM and he’s just as confused as everyone else about the matter.

“I don’t know [why she's calling me a terrorist], man,” he said. “I don’t really mess with the blogs or the rumors…I haven’t got no papers about [the lawsuit]…I definitely don’t have $1 trillion. I wish I did.”
