These are just some of the funny/random moments that happened backstage in the Press Room of the 2012 Grammy Awards, which were hosted Sunday night (Feb 12) in Los Angeles.

Other big winners of the night included Taylor Swift, Diana Ross, Tony Bennett, Lady Antebellum, and many others who weren’t pictured.

Hollywood gathered on a somber note last night (Sat Feb 11) at Clive Davis’ 2012 Pre-Grammy Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where R&B legend Whitney Houston was found dead earlier in the day.

When the sad news broke, there were reports that the annual Clive Davis event would be canceled, but Davis — Houston’s longtime friend and mentor — said that the R&B/Pop icon “would have wanted the music to go on.”

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

Some of the many celebrities in attendance at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring Richard Branson and Diana Ross included Diddy, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Jamie Foxx, Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union and more.

The star-studded event also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Marsha Ambrosius, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J and others. Monica and Brandy were slated to perform their new single “It All Belongs to Me”, but we’re told they were unable to because they were too devastated about Whitney Houston’s passing.

Diana Ross, who was being honored at the event, told a red carpet reporter, “I won’t be able to enjoy it,” when she was asked how she felt about being the night’s guest of honor.

“By now you have all learned of the unspeakably tragic news of our beloved Whitney’s passing,” Clive Davis said at the start of the evening. “I don’t have to mask my emotion in front of a room full of so many dear friends. I am personally devastated by the loss of someone who has meant so much to me for so many years. Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight even though she wasn’t scheduled to perform.”

He continued, “Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on.”

Diana Ross’ third oldest child Chudney Ross celebrated the grand opening of her new children’s book store Books & Cookies Saturday afternoon (May 14) in Santa Monica, California.

Chudney’s entire family, including mom Diana Ross, sisters Tracee Ellis Ross and Rhonda Ross Kendrick, her young nephew Raif and her brothers Evan Ross and Ross Arne Naess, all came out to support her at the launch of her new store, which serves as the first bookstore, cafe and event center space (all for children) in Santa Monica.

Diva extraordinaire and Motown legend Diana Ross has been confirmed as the next in line to take care of the late, great Michael Jackson‘s kids if anything should happen to his 81 year old mother Kathryn Jackson.

According to RadarOnline, a source close to the Jackson family revealed that Ross was named in Michael’s will to serve as the second guardian of Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket.

The alleged source went on to say:

“Diana has made no moves whatsoever not fulfill her role that Michael intended for her. Michael didn’t trust anyone in his family besides, his mother, to raise the children. Michael loved Diana and chose her for a very specific reason.
Katherine is a very doting, loving grandmother. She just isn’t getting any younger and that is why Michael named a second guardian.”

The site reports that an informant from Miss Ross’s camp has said:

“She will step in if there’s an immediate need to do so”.

Motown Records pioneer Diana Ross was spotted by the paparazzi Sunday afternoon (Sep 6) as she left a Los Angeles Taco Bell. The singer once again declined an invitation to attend funeral services for her longtime friend Michael Jackson for whatever reason. Diana, you got some ‘splainin to do!

Actor Evan Ross recently turned 21 and threw a birthday party for himself at Guys and Dolls nightclub in Los Angeles Friday night (Aug 28). His mom Diana, his sisters Tracee and Chudney his brother, Ross Arne Naess and his girlfriend Cora Skinner all partied with Evan in the VIP section of the club. Each of them wore a white glove in honor of Michael Jackson, whose birthday was the next day. Actress/model Eva Marcille was also spotted at the club.

Here’s some news that should come as no surprise. Michael Jackson‘s will was filed in Los Angeles court Wednesday morning (Jul 1) and a certain someone is missing. The five-page long, seven-year-old document, signed on July 7, 2002, includes his mother, Katherine Jackson, his good friend, Diana Ross and of course, his three children Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (12), Paris Michael Katherine Jackson (11) and Prince Michael Joseph Jackson II aka “Blanket” (7) Michael’s father, Joe Jackson‘s name is nowhere to found, which isn’t very surprising considering the relationship MJ had with him.

The will estimated Jackson’s wealth at the time it was filed to be over $500 million, saying that the amount is made of “non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalogue of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony ATV, and the interests of various entities.”

All of Jackson’s assets will be left in the hands of the Michael Jackson Family Trust, of which Katherine Jackson is the beneficiary. The will also lists Mama Jackson as the primary guardian of Michael’s children and includes a clause that states that in the event of Katherine not being able to care for them, Diana Ross would step in as the legal guardian.

“If any of my children are minors at the time of my death, I nominate my mother, Katherine Jackson as guardian of the persons and estate of such minor children. If Katherine Jackson fails to survive me, or is unable or unwilling to act as guardian, I nominate Diana Ross as guardian of the persons and estates of such minor children,” Jackson’s will stated.

Debbie Rowe, Jackson’s ex-wife who was also the surrogate mother of his first two children, was also omitted from the will.

“I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson,” the will states.

The three co-executors of the will are listed as John Branca (Jackson’s lawyer), John McClain (music exec.) and Barry Siegel (Jackson’s accountant who resigned in 2003).

“I hereby give to my Executors, full power and authority at any time or times to sell, lease, mortgage, pledge, exchange or otherwise dispose of the property, whether real or, personal comprising my estate upon such terms as my Executors shall deem best, to continue any business enterprises, to purchase assets from my estate…” the will says.

One key thing the will is missing is a proposed burial site and how he wished to be buried. However, new reports dictate that he will not be buried at Neverland ranch due to a California state law that says that you can’t be buried on private property. It is still unsure whether or not a public memorial will be held this Friday at the Santa Barbara estate.

They say Lil Kim went under the knife (once again) for some good old healthy facial reconstruction before filming for Dancing With the Stars to fix what her previous surgeries messed up, which makes a whole lot of sense. Right? What business is it of ours anyway…

Lil Kim was concerned with her appearance on the show, so right before Dancing With the Stars, she had reconstructive surgery to fill in her nose, and fix all the deformities that her previous surgeries caused. She is shooting a music video this Saturday for a new song she’s been working on.

Young, up and coming actor Tristan Wilds [1] was spotted all dougied up on location for 90210 in West Hollywood Tuesday afternoon. The show, a reprise of the ninetees hit Beverly Hills 90210, airs Tuesdays at 9/8c. Triston’s character Dixon is the only recurring Black cast member on the series.

Legendary actor Danny Glover was spotted by the paparazzi as he left a medical center in Beverly Hills Wednesday afternoon. At 62 years old (he will turn 63 this July), he’s still coming out with movies. His latest movie, Night Train, will have an announced release date very soon, while 4 other movies go through post production. He’s also directing a movie, which will be released later this year or early next year.

The Kardashian Sisters (Kim & Kourtney) in Los Angeles Tuesday night doing what they do best: nothing. But they don’t have to do a damn thing to get our attention. We just like looking at them, and you know you do too!
