Vanessa Simmons celebrated her 26th birthday with a party at Su Casa in new York City Friday night (Aug 7). Her younger sister Angela, pictured above, and her little brother JoJo came through to party it up with their big sis. Dawn and Que also celebrated with the Pastry CEO.

Dirty Money’s Dawn Richard and her boyfriend Qwanell “Que” Mosley of Day 26 brought along their PDA and locked lips in front of the cameras on the red carpet of the Casio G-Shock “Shock The World 2009″ event, held Wednesday (Aug 5) at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street. Why do these two find it appropriate to suck each other’s faces publicly every chance they get? We get it, you’re “in love” and you want everybody to know … but damn! Get a room!

Hip-hop mogul Diddy has got himself into a bit of trouble! His Bad Boy recording label has been sued for copyright infringement by a singer named Kirby Shields. Kirby alleges that his song “I’m Just Getting Started” is identical to Day 26’s “Just Getting Started” record, which is featured on their sophomore album Forever In A Day.

But peep this! Shields says the track was produced by Christian Davis Stalnecker, a producer he hired to work “exclusively” for him back in 2007. So now you may have a case of a producer selling the same record to two different artists! And we’re sure Diddy, Bad Boy and Day 26 had no idea, which makes this whole thing that much more crazier.

Bad Boy recording artists Dawn Richard and Qwanell “Que” Mosely (Day 26) put some of their “young love” on display Monday afternoon (Jul 13) as they took a strol holding hands down a Midtown Manhattan street in New York City.

And speaking of young love, we’re sure you peeped that Dawn tat on Que’s hip in that alter ego photoshoot they did with Derek Blanks. This is what the Day 26 member dished to Global Grind:

I figured I would get DAWN’s lips because she will be mine forever and I’m hers forever, so why not. It’s the best example of how honest I am in my relationship and about our love. Her lips and her name is an example to others that it’s ok to LOVE YOUR GIRL. It’s an example on how to be HONEST. I actually got her name when we started getting serious, so I had that way before the lips on my neck. I’m sure there will be more tattoos to come.

Love is a powerful thing, but a tattoo? C’mon now… But if they like it, I guess we can love it.

Four out of the five ladies of Danity Kane returned to the stage once again for the finale of Season 3 of MTV’s Making The Band 4. The finale was filmed live at The Hudson Theatre up in NYC and featured appearances from Diddy, Day 26 (who also performed), Donnie Klang and of course D. Woods, Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex of DK.

Sway from MTV got the ladies to open up a bit about their current “situation,” and when he got to a question about them making up and geting back together D. Woods acted like she wanted to avoid the question, all the while promoting her album and talking about everyone at a place where they wanted to “move on.” Shannon was open to the idea and so was Dawn and Aubrey. But what about Aundrea? Why isn’t she in any of the pics? Well, it turns out … she decided not to attend the taping because she’s still hurt about what happened and just wants to move on from the situation ASAP.

The group’s sophomore album, Forever In A Day, hits stores April 14, 2009 but it appears this album is hardly getting any promotion. Where’s the leading single that we should be hearing every day on the radio? Where’s the music video? Where’s the television appearances? Where are the weekly track leaks? Beyonce and Jay-Z together, without a doubt, is the definition of “black love.” For our generation at least! They’ve been together for over 5 years, and have close to $170 million in the bank (combined), making them Hollywood’s richest couple! Much of their relationship is kept private, but their lives as celebrities, coupled with their fame and huge success as artists and entrepreneurs, makes it hard not to want to know more about them! We put them at the top of our list this time last year, but the only difference between then and now is that they are married. The two decided to tie the knot in a “private” ceremony in April 2008. And if you were around and living on planet earth, you definitely heard about it! After People.com announced that the two had taken out a marriage license in New York, the events that happened the weekend of April 4th 2008 were inevitable. After several black SUVs with heavily tinted windows were seen entering Jay-Z’s Manhattan apartment, in addition to the dozens of vans bringing in wedding decorations, we all knew what was going on.

Every paparazzo in the world set up shop outside of the apartment and snapped photos of Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister), Tina & Mathew Knowles (Beyonce’s parents), Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, Irv Gotti, and more entering the apartment building’s ground-level garage. The list went on and on, but after seeing all of these people entering one place, we knew Beyonce and Jay-Z were DEFINITELY getting married. People.com actually confirmed it the next morning, and shortly after, we spotted the two wearing their wedding bands. These two getting married was definitely the talk of the blogosphere for the months to follow. And even though “Jayonce” never really confirmed their wedding, in several interviews that followed (Oprah, The Tyra Banks show, Essence Magazine, etc.) they were referred to as husband and wife, and neither contested it. But these two are the same people who never confirmed their initial relationship, so we’re definitely used to it!

ATLANTA // WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH 2008 » T.I. was spotted voting yesterday in Atlanta. If you are looking at this picture like I was and wondering how was T.I. able to vote after committing a felony, here is a little info for you courtesy of MTV.

How was T.I. able to vote? Well, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, in consultation with their own lawyers “reviewed the law and found that Mr. Harris is eligible to in Georgia because the state constitution says that to be able to vote, you have to have served your entire sentence, which includes all probation and fines and any other stipulations,” said Matt Carrothers, the Secretary of State’s director of media relations.

Because T.I. is not slated to go to prison until next year on felony gun charges and is not currently incarcerated — though he is under house arrest — and is not on probation, all he had to do was contact the county he votes in and get re-registered in order to cast a ballot.

A premiere party for MTV’s Making the Band 4 (Season 3) went down last night in New York City. Let me start this off by saying that I apologize for predominately including photos of Boom Kat in the first part of the post. But her pictures were way past hilarious! Homegirl looked like she was too excited to be out of the house for a change. Jumping in folks’ pics, grabbing ‘em, standing up on couches and posing for pics, everything! If nobody enjoyed this little premiere party, I know for sure one person did. Laurie Ann momof*ckin Gibson. Lol! Oh, and I see Teyana Taylor done went and got a perm! I posted a few candids of Dawn & Que last week and posed a question. With Beyonce and Jay-Z we have “Jayonce.” With Chris Brown and Rihanna we have “Chrianna.” Now, with Dawn & Que making their rounds as a couple, what the hell should we call them? Well, a couple of our loyal readers came up with some great suggestions that the rest of us can vote on! I’ll leave this poll up for about a week, and the nickname with the most votes is what we over here at T2W will call them. HERE I STAND DUE IN MAY INSTEAD OF JUNE » In an industry where setbacks are about as natural as Naomi Campbell losing her mind, it’s rare that you find that an album has been pushed up a few weeks. Originally slated for a June 2008 release, Usher’s Here I Stand album has been pushed up to May 27th, reports Billboard.

The video for the album’s first single, In This Club, has already been shot and is set to premiere on Monday, April 7th. A 30-second clip of the video has been making its rounds across the web over the past week. The actual single, produced by hitmaker Polow Da Don, is currently sitting pretty at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is another rarity, seeing as there has been no hardcore promotion and no accompanying video. He can have every radio station in these here United States to thank for that, seeing as it appears as though that’s the only song they have on constant rotation.

The Making the Band 4 (season 2) Finale doesn’t air until this Sunday, but the live portion of the finale will be recorded Saturday in Times Square at the MTV Studios, and guess who will be live blogging straight from the studio? ‘Come In (My Door’s Open)’ is a new smooth R&B track from Making The Band’s Day 26. The song was produced by The Runners. It reminds me of ‘Promise’, well the male version, lol.
