Day26 is trying to make a comeback! In their new music video for “Made Love Lately,” the former Bad Boy group seduces a special lady in the desert.

This is the first single from their upcoming album “A New Day.” Take a peep below:

Ludacris (with the help of some of his celebrity friends) hosted his annual all star celebrity basketball game in conjunction with his LudaDay Weekend festivities over Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta.

Sunday (Sep 5) at the 5th Annual LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Basketball Tournament, held at Morehouse College’s Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Luda, Chris Brown, Chris Paul and Terrence J‘s team (with Larenz Tate as assistant coach) competed against Nelly, Polow Da Don and Sammie‘s team (coached by Teyana Taylor with Kenyon Martin as the assistant coach) with Luda’s team taking the win at the final buzzer.

Other celebs spotted at the 5th Annual LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Basketball Tournament were Kelly Rowland, Lance Gross, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Bow Wow, Ne-Yo. And at the end of the game, Luda’s non-profit (The Ludacris Foundation) was presented with a $25,000 donation from AirTran.

Robert Curry of the R&B singing group Day 26 wants to clear up rumors suggesting that he was gay after a tweet saying “I’m gay and I don’t care…” was sent from his Twitter account the other night. Via our homegirl Necole Bitchie:

Robert of Day 26 called into Hot 102.7 in Detroit to clear up the rumors that he was not gay after a “I’m gay and I don’t care…” tweet was sent from his twitter account last night. [screen shot] He says that he loves and adores women and someone is out to get him. He also says that his publicist deleted his twitter account right afterwards and he has since created a new one.

If you didn’t already know, Day 26‘s Qwanell Mosley, known to most simply as “Que” was handed his walking papers yesterday and made a big announcements on Twitter. Once word made its way across the Internet Que hopped on Ustream to tell his side of the story. And now he’s released this over-the-top, dramatic as hell video. Wow, so word on the sidewalk is that Qwanell “Que” Mosly has been kicked out of R&B singing group Day 26! The 21-year-old singer confirmed the news himself via his Twitter earlier today, saying that he had just gotten a letter from his former group members telling him that they would be moving forward without him.

Willie Taylor spoke for the group when he called in to a radio station shortly after Que announced that he was axed from the group. Long story short, Que was acting up and he just had to go. Willie even compared Que’s situation to “cancer” saying that he was infecting the whole group with his shenanigans.

And what’s even worse, Willie claims that he can’t even get in touch with Que through his telephone OR his Twitter, which is odd considering Que has close to 100,000 followers. How are you gonna have 100,000 followers and not one of them are your fellow group members. And forget about Twitter, how about his own CELL PHONE. Just all kinds of craziness.

Qwanell Mosly of Day 26 walked the red carpet and posed for pics before making his way into the Lux Lounge in Washington, D.C. for the Gillette Fusion Men of Style Awards last night (Nov 30).

Speaking to MTV, the 21-year-old R&B singer said even though they’re not down with Bad Boy anymore, Day 26 and Diddy still show love to each other and the group will still accept professional advice from the hip-hop mogul. And Willie said that now that they’re running the show, they’ll be handling most of the production on their new songs.

“He’s not gone,” Qwanell “Que” Mosley insisted. “He’s there if he wants it. He’s Diddy; we trust [his input]. He trusts us now to move on with our careers. It’s kind of like a blessing.” The guys plan to handle the production side on many of their new songs.

“We gave you a sample on Forever in a Day,” Willie Taylor said of the group’s production skills. “If you read the credits, a lot of that is Day26. But we really wanna get in and zone out again, get the formula. We wanna go back to the Pentagons — they were amazing. Jazze Pha is amazing. [Bryan-Michael] Cox is amazing. We’re reaching out. Sean Garrett — the Pen. T-Pain. We’re gonna reach out. We’re gonna spread the wings, but I think the bulk of the album is gonna come from Day26.”

“Some artists we wanna work with are Jay-Z, Lil Wayne,” Que added. “Eminem is doing his thing. Kanye, Diddy-Dirty Money. We wanna get everybody. Anybody who has any skills, we wanna work with them.”

R&B singing group Day 26 announced today (Tues Nov 24) that they have left Diddy‘s Bad Boy recording label and will remain on the imprint’s former parent label Atlantic Records. Diddy left Atlantic for Interscope back in late in September. And even though the guys of Day 26 are no longer with Bad Boy, group member Willie Taylor tells The BoomBox that there’s no bad blood between them.

“Bad Boy is always our family, but we’re with Atlantic right now.

“We really want to get people focused on the artistry, on the music,” Taylor explained. “I think a lot of people lost it with the entertainment of the show. So now, we really want to show people what we’re all about, that we do our thing whether its on stage, in the studio, writing and producing — we do it all.”

The band plan to hit the studio at the beginning of next year to record album three. “We’re very excited about it. We know exactly what the fans are expecting from us on this third album. We’re going to take the gloves off, really go for it. A lot of people thought Day 26 weren’t going to be here but we’re still standing.”

Earlier this year the group flexed their design muscle releasing a woman’s shoe line called Eight2Six. Their first product the Swaggaa Heel can be purchased online and is available in three different colors. “You can wear them at all times. You never have to take them off,” group member Brian Andrews promised.

Good for them! Being off from under Diddy’s umbrella is going to do wonders for their career…

The 2009 American Music Awards were held last night (Sun Nov 22) at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA. We think the number of videos these guys have released have a set a new record for the amount of attention given to a Bad Boy project! So kudos to them for getting Diddy to actually pay attention to them long enough to properly promote their latest album, Forever In A Day, which is in stores now. Dirty Money‘s Dawn Richard and her boyfriend Qwanell “Que” Mosley of Day 26 brought along their PDA and locked lips in front of the cameras on the red carpet of the Casio G-Shock “Shock The World 2009″ event, held Wednesday (Aug 5) at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street. Hip-hop mogul Diddy has got himself into a bit of trouble! His Bad Boy recording label has been sued for copyright infringement by a singer named Kirby Shields. Kirby alleges that his song “I’m Just Getting Started” is identical to Day 26‘s “Just Getting Started” record, which is featured on their sophomore album Forever In A Day.

But peep this! Shields says the track was produced by Christian Davis Stalnecker, a producer he hired to work “exclusively” for him back in 2007. So now you may have a case of a producer selling the same record to two different artists! And we’re sure Diddy, Bad Boy and Day 26 had no idea, which makes this whole thing that much more crazier.

Bad Boy recording artists Dawn Richard and Qwanell “Que” Mosely (Day 26) put some of their “young love” on display Monday afternoon (Jul 13) as they took a strol holding hands down a Midtown Manhattan street in New York City.

I figured I would get DAWN’s lips because she will be mine forever and I’m hers forever, so why not. It’s the best example of how honest I am in my relationship and about our love. Her lips and her name is an example to others that it’s ok to LOVE YOUR GIRL. It’s an example on how to be HONEST. I actually got her name when we started getting serious, so I had that way before the lips on my neck. I’m sure there will be more tattoos to come.

Love is a powerful thing, but a tattoo? C’mon now… But if they like it, I guess we can love it.

Here’s Day 26‘s latest music video, “Stadium Music,” which also serves as the official second single from the Bad Boy singing group’s sophomore album, Forever In A Day (in stores now!). We’re not going to comment on the apparent budget for this video. We’re just glad they were given the all too rare chance to release a second single and actually promote their project, unlike the rest of their labelmates.

Four out of the five ladies of Danity Kane returned to the stage once again for the finale of Season 3 of MTV’s Making The Band 4. The finale was filmed live at The Hudson Theatre up in NYC and featured appearances from Diddy, Day 26 (who also performed), Donnie Klang and of course D. Woods, Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex of DK.

Sway from MTV got the ladies to open up a bit about their current “situation,” and when he got to a question about them making up and geting back together D. Woods acted like she wanted to avoid the question, all the while promoting her album and talking about everyone at a place where they wanted to “move on.” Shannon was open to the idea and so was Dawn and Aubrey. But what about Aundrea? Why isn’t she in any of the pics? Well, it turns out … she decided not to attend the taping because she’s still hurt about what happened and just wants to move on from the situation ASAP.

The group’s sophomore album, Forever In A Day, hits stores April 14, 2009 but it appears this album is hardly getting any promotion. Beyonce and Jay-Z together, without a doubt, is the definition of “black love.” For our generation at least! They’ve been together for over 5 years, and have close to $170 million in the bank (combined), making them Hollywood’s richest couple! Much of their relationship is kept private, but their lives as celebrities, coupled with their fame and huge success as artists and entrepreneurs, makes it hard not to want to know more about them! We put them at the top of our list this time last year, but the only difference between then and now is that they are married. The two decided to tie the knot in a “private” ceremony in April 2008. And if you were around and living on planet earth, you definitely heard about it! After People.com announced that the two had taken out a marriage license in New York, the events that happened the weekend of April 4th 2008 were inevitable. After several black SUVs with heavily tinted windows were seen entering Jay-Z’s Manhattan apartment, in addition to the dozens of vans bringing in wedding decorations, we all knew what was going on.

Every paparazzo in the world set up shop outside of the apartment and snapped photos of Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister), Tina & Mathew Knowles (Beyonce’s parents), Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, Irv Gotti, and more entering the apartment building’s ground-level garage. The list went on and on, but after seeing all of these people entering one place, we knew Beyonce and Jay-Z were DEFINITELY getting married. People.com actually confirmed it the next morning, and shortly after, we spotted the two wearing their wedding bands. These two getting married was definitely the talk of the blogosphere for the months to follow. And even though “Jayonce” never really confirmed their wedding, in several interviews that followed (Oprah, The Tyra Banks show, Essence Magazine, etc.) they were referred to as husband and wife, and neither contested it. But these two are the same people who never confirmed their initial relationship, so we’re definitely used to it!

Next to Beyonce and Jay-Z, Chris Brown and Rihanna are definitely a power couple in the black blogosphere! In what may have started out as an innocent case of “puppy love” – or a publicity stunt, whatever you’d like to call it – these two have definitely grown together as a symbol of “teenage love,” as noted in Chris Brown’s song “Young Love.” Whether they’re spotted handling each other’s acne issues, spending time together on the set of a music video, arriving at at an airport, or even jet-skiing in Barbados, these two are guaranteed to garner tons of attention from the paparazzi. And once their photos hit the blogs, tons of pageviews and comments promptly follow.

Pregnancy rumors, break-up rumors and anything else you can think of surround this next couple – Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri. Right now, they’re both denying that they’re pregnant and have broken up, but only time will tell what’s really going on. Throughout the year 2008, these two were spotted at fashion shows in Paris, and you could catch them hanging out together on JD’s Youtube channel in his “Living the Life” series while Janet toured North America. Are they expecting a baby? Have they really broken up? We’ll just have to see what 2009 brings for one of our favorite couples of 2008!

ATLANTA // WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH 2008 » T.I. was spotted voting yesterday in Atlanta. If you are looking at this picture like I was and wondering how was T.I. able to vote after committing a felony, here is a little info for you courtesy of MTV.

How was T.I. able to vote? Well, the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, in consultation with their own lawyers “reviewed the law and found that Mr. Harris is eligible to in Georgia because the state constitution says that to be able to vote, you have to have served your entire sentence, which includes all probation and fines and any other stipulations,” said Matt Carrothers, the Secretary of State’s director of media relations.

Because T.I. is not slated to go to prison until next year on felony gun charges and is not currently incarcerated — though he is under house arrest — and is not on probation, all he had to do was contact the county he votes in and get re-registered in order to cast a ballot.

Rapper Ice Cube and his wife were spotted as they left the Staples Center in LA after the Lakers/Jazz game Wednesday night.

Terrence Howard, Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls), and Phylicia Rashad (Cosby Show) received their caricatures at Sardi’s restaurant in New York Thursday night. The three of them are currently a part of the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Newlyweds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey showed off their wedding rings Thursday night as the two left The Waverly Inn in New York. I suppose they plan on riding this publicity train until the wheels fall off. Unless they have something else up their sleeve, all of this whoopla is gonna die down after about a week or so. And then that’s when they’re gonna decide to divorce, causing more mayhem. You think Mariah’s slow … but trust me, she’s not! In fact, she’s the smartest rock in the box =)

These are the latest pictures of Robert Curry of Day 26 and his ex girlfriend/fiancée June Bug. Now if I remember correctly didn’t these two swear up and down that they weren’t together? So does this mean Robert lied? If so he wouldn’t be the first Day 26 member to lie about their relationship status. Brian Andrews is married with 2 kids and Willie Taylor is also married even though both claim to be single and ready to mingle. Congrats on the engagement Robert!

HERE I STAND DUE IN MAY INSTEAD OF JUNE » In an industry where setbacks are about as natural as Naomi Campbell losing her mind, it’s rare that you find that an album has been pushed up a few weeks. Originally slated for a June 2008 release, Usher‘s Here I Stand album has been pushed up to May 27th, reports Billboard.

The video for the album’s first single, In This Club, has already been shot and is set to premiere on Monday, April 7th. A 30-second clip of the video has been making its rounds across the web over the past week. The actual single, produced by hitmaker Polow Da Don, is currently sitting pretty at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is another rarity, seeing as there has been no hardcore promotion and no accompanying video. He can have every radio station in these here United States to thank for that, seeing as it appears as though that’s the only song they have on constant rotation.

DAY 26 SITTING ON TOP OF THE BILLBOARD 200 » Move over Danity Kane, and welcome your label-mates Day 26 to the Billboard 200! The 5 guys who make up Day 26 have a lot to be thankful for these days. Their self-titled debut album was introduced to the Billboard 200 with over 190,000 albums sold in its first week!

According to Billboard, Day26 is the first new male group to open at #1 since 2001, when rap group D12 debuted on top with Devil’s Night. It’s also the highest open for a debut album by a group since label-mates Danity Kane’s eponymous first set opened at #1 in 2006.

JAY-Z SNAGS A MAJOR DEAL WITH LIVE NATION » It seems like every day we’re reporting about Jay-Z signing papers for yet another deal. Well this time, it’s Live Nation, a live events and promotion company, and the two are talking big money! According to Billboard, the deal, worth an estimated $150 million, will include financing for his new entertainment venture, Roc Nation, as well as the rapper’s own recordings and tours for the next decade.

Jay-Z, who is expected to record his final album via Def Jam this year, could launch a new label in Roc Nation, as well as music publishing, talent consulting and management companies, the paper said. Live Nation will reportedly contribute $5 million each year in overhead for five years and offer $25 million to finance Jay-Z’s external acquisitions and investments. Roc Nation will split profits with Live Nation, according to the paper. Details are still being worked out, but the deal is expected to finalized shortly, sources confirm to Billboard.biz.

The first fruit of the deal is the Live Nation/Haymon Events-produced Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige tour, dubbed “Heart of the City.” The trek began late last month in Miami and runs through May 8 in Uncasville, Conn. Jay-Z will also reportedly receive a general advance of $25 million upfront to cover the cost of the “Heart of the City” trek, and Live Nation will contribute $10 million per album for a minimum of three albums within the deal’s term. Jay-Z will also receive another $20 million for other rights including, but not limited to, publishing and licensing, according to the paper.

The winners of Making the Band 4, now known as R&B singing group Day 26, premiered their brand spankin’ new video for their debut single Got Me Going earlier today. Their self-titled album hits stores next Tuesday.

‘Come In (My Door’s Open)’ is a new smooth R&B track from Making The Band’s Day 26. The song was produced by The Runners. It reminds me of ‘Promise’, well the male version, lol.
