The 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards just went down over the weekend (Sat. Oct 1) in Atlanta, and the black carpet posted up outside the Civic Center was littered with rappers and other celebrities.

Hip-Hop figures like Big Sean, Rick Ross, Tyrese, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, Da Brat, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and tons more all posed for pictures as they arrived at the show, hosted by comedian Mike Epps.

Kreayshawn has responded to rumors claiming that she is dating the Da Brat in a new interview that has recently surfaced.

The “Gucci Gucci” rapper also revealed her love for Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.

Female rapper Da Brat has always been known to rock the whole “tomboy” look. But now she’s showing off her sexy and femine side in a brand new photoshoot with VIBE Magazine, where the newly sprung femcee talks about being “such a f*cking lady” and getting glammed up, as her girly side is second nature to her.

I’m such a f*cking lady. I loved to get glammed up. I love manis and pedis. I like to go to Vicky Secrets and La Perla because I like lace and bikinis. I’m such a P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thug)

It depends on the look and how I’m feeling that day.

What is your favorite body part?
I don’t have just one. I love all parts of my body! But on a man, I love the Adonis line. It’s just so sexy!

What are you doing to stay in shape?
Work out. Working out is like a stress reliever.

How did you feel about the Vibe.com photo shoot?
I absolutely loved it! The stylist Tamara Connor was amazing. Mara Z styled my hair with the help of her assistant Dina as well as my regular hairstylist, Shontelle Sampeur. Mara also did my makeup. Both hair and make-up were great. And I loved the photographer, Alex. I definitely want to do more photo shoots with him because I can tell he is passionate about his work.

Da Brat says she was a hot commodity in prison.

According to the rapper, every female behind bars wanted a piece of her luscious lady lumps!

“Every female in prison wanted me … all of them wish they could have gotten these goodies,” Da Brat told TMZ.

So did they get a bite or two?

Brat insists that no one ever got a taste of her goodies. She also revealed that Jermaine Dupri and Omar Epps looked out for her big time during her incarceration.

“Jermaine Dupri sent me the most money … Omar Epps and his wife looked out.”

It must feel good to finally be home…..

After spending three years behind bars, Da Brat has been sprung from prison!

Da Brat (real name: Shawntae Harris) had been serving time due to an assault charge, and although information on her release is very scarce, rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri (a good friend of hers) made a public announcement this week that she is finally out.

In October 2007, Harris was found guilty of assault after allegedly attacking a waitress at a nightclub in Atlanta. The femcee was ultimately sentenced to 3 years in prison, 200 hours of community service and 7 years probation.

It’ll be interesting to see what Da Brat does now that she’s a free woman. We wonder what she thinks about that whole “Nicki Minaj” vs. “Lil Kim” beef and whose side she’s on!

Da Brat has finally been released from prison… sort of. The female rapper has managed to get a weekend pass (last week) and made a special appearance on Jermaine Dupri‘s “Living the Life” YouTube channel thanking everyone for their continued support. She also gave us a little insight on what she’s been doing over the past couple of years while she’s been behind bars and what she plans to do when she’s sprung later this year. “I’m out on a little pass; I had to do some lawyer attorney stuff,” Da Brat explained. “Thank y’all for the love and support. I got a job. I work a nine-to-five, because I’m in the work release program. I make windows. If y’all need a window holla at your girl.”

Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison back in 2008 after hitting a waitress over the head with a bottle at a nightclub owned by JD.

Harris pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in DeKalb County, and Superior Court Judge Gail Flake sentenced the rapper to 3 years behind bars, 7 years probation, and 200 hours of community service, in addition to completion of substance abuse treatment, mental evaluation and anger management classes.

When people go to jail for long periods of of time you always have to warn them and tell them to be safe for “obvious” reasons. But I don’t think Mr. Harris has that problem. I think the person we should give a heads up to is his cellmate! Watch your back, homie!

The paps caught a drunk, lost and confused Amy Winehouse outside of her England home last night. Apparently after her night on the town, homegirl had lost her keys and couldn’t get into her house. So a friend had to help her break into her own house by manually raising the garage. What would Amy do without those friends of hers…

Kanye West was spotted as he left GOA nightclub for an afterparty for his critically acclaimed “Glow in the Dark” tour. As every day goes by, I get madder and madder in response to the fact that I will not be able to see this show in person. Maybe next time…

Jay-Z hit up the afterparty too. Where the hell is his wifey, Beyonce? I’m seeing more of Jay alone now that they’re married. What’s up with that?

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday after a dispute with a waitress at Studio 72, Jermaine Dupri’s clu. 33-year-old Shawntae Harris was charged with aggravated assault, said DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish. Club owners couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. But according to the police report this is how it all went down: The waitress accidentally bumped into Brat and the two proceeded to get into a little “verbal scuffle.” The waitress apparently didn’t want to hear Mr. Harris’ mouth so she walked away and baby gangster (Da Brat) took a bottle of rum, and hit the waitress in the face with it! Parish said the waitress, who sustained a deep laceration to the cheek and some swelling on the forehead, was driven to a hospital by a friend. I mean really, was it that serious??? Anyhow, Shawntae was released the next day after posting $50,000 bond. It’s unknown whether or not he’ll face any charges. I know the government is making a killing off of these celebs getting arrested left and right! If they keep this shit up, we’ll be out of debt in no time! Y’all know I’m bullshittin’ right? LOL!

Next up is Faheem Najm, better known to us common folk as “T-Pain.” He was arrested in Florida on Friday for “outstanding warrants.” According to TMZ, he turned himself in at Leon County Jail, where he was charged with driving on a suspended license. He’s not a G like my boy Da Brat! TMZ reports that police saw T-Pain driving in Tallahassee in June and, after running his record, discovered that he had a suspended license. Anyhow, if my sources are correct, Teddy Penderass was still able to perfrom at FAMU’s homecoming with Lil’ Wayne and Boosie. Meanwhile, JIVE is denying pretty much everything (minus the FAMU homecoming bit) mentioned in the previous 5 lines. Go figure!

And last, but not least, Tremaine. Tremaine Neverson that is. We know him as “Trey Songz” by the way. Anyhow, he was arrested Sunday night in connection with a shooting in Springfield, Massachusetts. Really? Springfield? Hmm … no comment. Anyhow, Trey was among a group of men taken into custody on Sunday following the incident in the parking lot of The Hippodrome, where he had performed the previous evening. The shoot-out left one man injured and he was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The alleged gunman, 29-year-old Anthony Williams, has been charged on multiple counts, including assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without a lisence and assault with intent to murder (dayummm, homie!).

Tremaine was charged with “behaving like a disorderly person” and resisting arrest for his part in the crime, although it is unclear whether he is connected to either man. He was released after posting $500 (GBP250) bond. According to Lieutenant John Slepchuck of the Springfield Police Department, cops were present when shots were fired behind the venue in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He tells AllHipHop.com, “Our disorderly person charge can involve several different things including the use of certain language, failure to do what an officer asks. “(Neverson) was interfering with an active crime scene involving a victim.”

Nice try Trey, but you’re still not on the level of Da Brat! She, excuse me, HE killt (yes, pronounced KILLT) all y’all hoes with her assault charge!

When Screamfest ’07 hit NYC last week (Wednesday August 22 2007) they didn’t hold anything back! In addition to the headliners and supporting acts (I’m sure you know who they are by now), you had the likes of 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Jay-Z sharing the same stage! Yeah, you read it correctly … Kanye West and 50 Cent. A HISTORIC MOMENT in Hip-Hop indeed! Diddy, Da Brat, Wyclef Jean, and Yung Berg showed up too. I wish I could’ve been there!
