Celebrities helped raise awareness for leukemia at the 5th Annual DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Gala last Thursday night (Apr 28) in New York City.

Some of the famous faces who were spotted at the annual event were Keri Hilson, Solange, Leighton Meester, Pharrell Williams and honoree Rihanna. The charity event, held at NYC’s famous Cipriani Wall Street restaurant, also featured a performance from R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

Singers Kelly Rowland and Estelle got to know each other Thursday night (Jun 3) as the two of them attended the 2010 amfAR New York Inspiration Gala at the New York Public Library in NYC.

Ricky Martin was honored for his philanthropic efforts through his Ricky Martin Foundation during the black-tie event. Other celebs at the amfAR gala were Zoe Saldana and Kylie Minogue, who was the host for the evening ceremony.

Finally some good news for Poison frontman Bret Michaels! The rocker turned reality television star walked away Sunday night (May 23) as the winner for the latest installment of NBC‘s “Celebrity Apprentice” over his opponent, actress Holly Robinson Peete. This comes just one month after Michael suffered a brain hemorrhage and just days after being re-admitted to the hospital for a warning stroke.

As a prize for winning the show, Bret received $250,000 to donate to a charity of his choice: The American Diabetes Association. And since both Bret and Holly did so well in the final challenge, Snapple decided to donate $250,000 as well to The HollyRod Foundation, Holly and her husband’s own charity for autism.

Shortly after the “Celebrity Apprentice” Season 3 Finale, an after-party was thrown to celebrate Bret’s win at Donald Trump‘s hotel in Soho, New York City. And in addition to Holly Robinson Peete and Bret Michaels, folks like comedian Sinbad, model Selita Ebanks, singer Cyndi Lauper and more all walked the red carpet before making their way into the Trump Soho hotel for the party. Pop superstar Lady Gaga doused her face and other parts of her body with pearls before hitting the red carpet at the amfAR New York Gala co-sponsored by MAC Cosmetics at Cipriani 42nd Street Wednesday (Feb 10) in NYC. She and Cyndi Lauper posed for pics together before making their way into the HIV/AIDs benefit.

Those little pearls all over Lady Gaga’s face, stomach and legs makes her look like she has some kind of fungal infection!

In a move that surprised damn near everyone, Lil Kim and Cyndi Lauper performed “Time After Time” on stage together Saturday night (Jul 18) at the Mandela Day 46664 Celebration Concert … and Lil Kim sang! Albeit, Kim didn’t do very well with her vocals but we give her credit for being bold enough to do something like that in front of so many people. With a little more confidence and some vocal training, homegirl might be able to carry a little tune!
