Chris Brown's Twitter Message (October 26th 2009)

Your boy Chris Brown just can’t let well enough be can he? The 20-year-old musician posted this YouTube video to his Twitter account earlier today along with the message, “IM SORRY YALL. JUST HAD TO POST IT.” The video features a sad melodic backing track along with a montage of different pictures and video clips of Chris and his ex girlfriend Rihanna before their big fight back in February 2009 (almost a year ago).

Dude can’t legally speak to Rihanna (or even be in her presence) for 5 years so it’s high time he chills out or this half-decade is going to feel like half a century! We think he needs to just let this go and move on with his life. You don’t see Rihanna pouring her heart out all on her Twitter do you?

Check out this shot of him, Swizz Beatz and Lil Wayne on the set of Chris’ new music video, “I Can Transform Ya.”

Chris BrownChris Brown’s second single off his upcoming album Graffiti has leaked! The track is called “Crawl” and will go along with “I Can Transform Ya” for a dual release. Chris announced that he has shot the video for both singles and that they will be premiering soon. In the meantime, peep the download link for his new song below!

It seems like Chris is coming hard this era. He sparked some controversy when it was announced that he was still releasing his album this year. Some said it was too soon after he was charged with the beating of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. But clearly, he is delivering with this new album and “Crawl” is the definition of a ballad; lyrically and production wise, it is on point. Definitely a nice track that we’re predicting will do very well on the charts.

Side note: Does anyone else find it iffy that a day after Rihanna releases a song about suicide because of a relationship Chris releases one about making the relationship work and “[crawling] back to love”? Hmm…

Chris Brown

Take a listen to “So Cold,” a new song from Chris Brown. Brown confirmed via his Twitter page that the track, produced by Polow Da Don and co-written by Ester Dean and Teyana Taylor, will indeed be featured on his upcoming third studio album, Graffiti. He just hopes his album doesn’t leak:

OMG as you all know a song leaked today from my album called so cold.. im a lil upset but i pray my album doesnt leak..

im still putting it on the album though. i dont care if its leaked

Within the first 30 – 60 seconds of the song, you already know what it’s about … and who it’s about, without question:

Tell her I’m sorry, I’m really sorry / Can you forgive me? / Please forgive me / And come back home / Keep me safe and warm / Damn my baby’s really gone / I don’t know if she’s coming home / My luck’s up, I f**ked up…

Damn Chris, if this is how you really feel about Rihanna then this is gonna be a loooongg azz 5 years! Brown’s Graffiti is set to drop early next year.

Chris BrownChris Brown revealed on his Twitter last week that he is about to embark on a small tour soon. He says he will perform about 15 to 20 shows and it will basically be a “fan appreciation tour.” He later deleted the tweets though.

” ‘Bout to start a small tour soon,” Brown wrote in a post early Monday morning that was deleted by Tuesday afternoon (October 6). “15 to 20 dates … My fan appreciation tour. Just for y’all. Nothin’ bigger than 4,000 seaters.” The singer did not reveal any more information about the tour, including the dates or when it would kick off, and Brown’s label, which has not yet announced a release date for his upcoming album, Graffiti, had no comment on the tour.

Authorities in Virginia, where Brown is serving his community labor sentence after pleading guilty to assault earlier this year, have declined to comment on the terms of the labor service, including whether Brown has to report daily and if the 180 days must be served sequentially. While Brown posted images of himself clearing brush and garbage on what appeared to be his first day last month, no further images have surfaced since then. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Probation Department had not responded at press time to questions about the conditions and travel restrictions on Brown’s probation. Brown’s lawyer also had not responded to MTV News’ request for clarification at press time.

Now this is what we call reaching! Wrigley, who dropped Chris Brown after he was charged with assaulting Rihanna, is planning on suing the singer to regain the millions of dollars they spent on his endorsement deal.

According to Janet Charlton, “Chris had apparently signed up for another five year stint with Wrigley and finished a number of commercials when the Rihanna incident happened. Wrigley pulled his ads and fired Chris. Now they are said to be preparing to sue Chris for all the money they lost due to his bad behavior. They spent big bucks on ads featuring Chris along with other celebrities like Jay-Z and Mariah Carey. Since Chris was in them also – everything had to be ditched. Wrigley is mad and we hear they hope to recoup the money Chris caused them to lose with a big fat lawsuit.”

Wrigley was one of a few major endorsement deals that Brown said goodbye to after the assault and the company is reportedly mad about their loss and are trying to get their money back. Now, we know what Chris did was wrong and we don’t endorse violence in any way what-so-ever. But Wrigley needs to chill out on this one. They were fully aware at how much they would lose before they dropped his campaign altogether, so to turn around and blame this on Chris’ actions is kind of confusing. We’re sure Chris has other endorsements from companies that didn’t drop him just to make a point (or attempt to save face) like Wrigley did. Now it sounds like Wrigley just might be regretting that decision of theirs.

Chris Brown

So this is it. Chris Brown’s official first comeback single. “I Can Transform Ya” features rapper Lil’ Wayne and producer Swizz Beatz. The track is the debut single from his upcoming third album Graffiti, set to drop sometime early next year. It’s interesting to see how well this single and the album will do considering all of the negative press Chris has been getting ever since that big fight with Rihanna back in February 2009.

But so far, radio stations all over are reporting that the song is getting a great reception and a lot of positive feedback, despite Brown’s troubled past.

Greenville, South Carolina’s Hot 98.1 began playing the song as soon as it was available, and operations manager/ program director Steve Crumbley said the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. “The audience loves it,” he said. “The response has been phenomenal, plus you have Lil Wayne on it, so you can’t miss.” According to Crumbley, the recent unsavory headlines surrounding Brown don’t appear to have slowed his career. “You mean because of the Rihanna thing? I didn’t think not playing a man’s record had anything to do with what he did,” Crumbley said when asked whether he’d hesitated to spin the tune. “I’m not making light of abuse. That is terribly wrong and he had to deal with that, but if the man’s got a good song, he’s got a good song.” Crumbley said he’s had not a single negative call about the song so far.

Video Spoof: Who's gonna hunt Chris Brown tonight?

Funny man Affion Crockett recently posted this hilarious video spoof to his YouTube page. The video is a parody of Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, but has a big twist. Instead of the words, “Who’s gonna run this town tonight,” the female portraying Rihanna in the song/video is saying “Who’s gonna hunt Chris Brown tonight?” and the whole video has Rihanna, along with Jay and Kanye (both played by Affion) leading a manhunt to hunt down Chris, also played by Affion. The beginning of the video is completely hilarious as it shows Affion dressed up in a blue sweater and a bow tie mocking Chris’ Larry King interview. You’ve just gotta watch the whole thing… Continue reading to check it out!

Chris Brown and Juelz Santana

Check out “Back to the Crib,” a new song with Chris Brown singing the hook and Juelz Santana spitting bars over a dope trumpet-filled beat. Even though some parts sounds like Chris added some “enhancements” to his voice, we still think this is a pretty solid track. It’s good he and Juelz are still working together after all of these years too. Remember, Juelz was featured on Chris’ breakthrough track, “Run It,” back in 2005 when he first hit the scene. But anyway, take a listen to their new song below!
