A person in Jay-Z’s camp claims that the rapping hip-hop mogul “hit the roof” when he found out about what allegedly happen between Chris Brown and Rihanna!

“He hit the roof,” a source close to him told Us Weekly. Jay-Z allegedly said that “Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”

Dead man walking? Jay-Z better slow his roll before he has to have one of his hips replaced!

Not only have Wrigley and Got Milk? stopped payment on all of Chris Brown’s checks from their respective endorsement deals, but now the R&B singer has to suffer the rath of free public radio! A Cleveland area radio station reportedly pulled the R&B singer’s music from their daily rotation schedules, which prompted a good number of countries across the country to follow suit.

A Cleveland-area radio station has stopped playing music by singer Chris Brown, who was arrested after an alleged domestic dispute. Radio host Java Joel of 96.5 WAKS-FM said he stopped airing the songs on Monday when outraged listeners called to criticize Brown, according to a posting Tuesday on the station’s Web site.

WAKS program director Bo Matthews said he decided to keep Brown’s music off the air until the allegations are resolved. He said the station enjoys the tunes and won’t ban them forever.

Once again, “sources” are dropping off tips quicker than anyone can keep up. But for some reason, this story seems to make the most sense. We have to make it clear that we’re not taking sides and you shouldn’t either. At least wait until all of the facts come out and official statements are made by the respective camps. For now, anything that is published (here, or anywhere else) that is not from Rihanna, Chris Brown, or any named person close to them should be taken with a grain of salt. All of these unnamed sources do not, and should not count.

Anyway, sources claiming to be close to Chris Brown and Rihanna told Bossip that Rihanna started the physical portion of the fight and it was all over a phone call Chris received from another young lady. The source also added that Chris’ faithfulness to Rihanna had been questionable the past few months.

They were in the car leaving the Clive Davis party. While Chris was driving, he got a phone call from a young lady. Our source tells us that Rihanna knew that Chris had been messing around with this particular girl and she has, as of late, been the reason for many of their heated arguments. Rihanna got a glimpse of the phone, saw the name and number and immediately recognized who it was. She went ballistic and began to “beat the sh*t” out of Chris (while driving). She was so uncontrollable, that Chris began to fight back in self defense, which ensued the fight. Rihanna’s rage stemmed from Chris’ questionable fidelity in the last few months.

“Sources” in this whole Chris Brown and Rihanna story seem to come a dime a dozen. Anyway, another “source” said that Chris Brown basically beat the sh*t out of Rihanna. They mention her looking “distraught” and “in a lot of pain,” in addition to her having a black eye, contusions, a swollen lip, etc.

“Chris knocked her around,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. “Black eye, blood, bruises. She had to be treated by a doctor.” A police source confirms to PEOPLE that the singer suffered a black eye as well as “a swollen split lip and two red and purple contusions on either side of her forehead.” The source, who described police photos of Rihanna, added, “She looked distraught and in a lot of pain. Her eyes were closed because she was looking down.”

We all saw this coming, including Chris. Wrigley’s announced Monday that they’d be suspending Chris Brown’s Doublemint Gum commercial.

Wrigley said in a statement it was “concerned by the serious allegations” made against Brown, who was booked by police on suspicion of making a felony criminal threat. The company said that while Brown should be afforded due legal process “we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown…until the matter is resolved.” Brown, who was competing against Rihanna in a Grammy category, was a spokesman for Doublemint gum and his hit song “Forever” was part of that advertising campaign.

UPDATE (1:30 PM): TMZ retracted their statement with a correction stating that there was no weapon involved in the alleged attack.

The police report cites Penal Code Section 245 — Assault with a Deadly Weapon. However, we’re told there was no weapon involved. We had been hearing there was an umbrella in the car — which would have been the most ironic thing ever — but again… no weapon is alleged. By the way, a persons foot or other body part can be considered a deadly weapon depending on the circumstances. One law enforcement source who has been dead-on so far claims Rihanna suffered contusions and bite marks.

TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon. Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon — we do not yet know the nature of the weapon. The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty — that’s Rihanna’s real name.

UPDATE: Bossip just exclusively learned that Chris Brown and Rihanna got into a heated argument which was reportedly about how Rihanna gave him Herpes, which resulted in him giving Rihanna a black eye.

The woman involved in the Chris Brown assault incident has been confirmed as long-time girlfriend Rihanna! The two apparently got into a fight early Sunday morning following a pre-Grammy party, which resulted in Rihanna getting struck by Chris Brown.

“She got out of the car to walk home. He got out to stop her,” said a source. “Things got physical. He hit her, possibly more than once. She had multiple bruises.”

Police said the fight took place about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the affluent Hancock Park neighborhood. “Brown and the woman were inside of a vehicle,” said LAPD spokeswoman April Harding. “According to the victim they became involved in an argument. … The argument escalated into an altercation.” By the time cops responded to the scene following a 911 call, Brown was gone. Brown and Rihanna were seen Saturday night at a pre-Grammy gala hosted by music mogul Clive Davis in Beverly Hills. The two posed for pictures and were spotted kissing before they hopped into a waiting silver Lamborghini.

It is being reported that young R&B singer Chris Brown has turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department. He was officially booked into custody at around 10:30 PM EST last night and is officially under investigation for an alleged domestic violence felony battery that occurred early Sunday morning. People are speculating that the woman he allegedly hit was Rihanna, but as of yet, no one really knows. The female involved in the incident has yet to be identified by police. Rihanna and Chris Brown were both nominated for Grammy Awards and were both scheduled to perfrom at the annual ceremony, but neither showed up.

This just in! It has been reported that R&B singer Chris Brown is currently under investigation by the LAPD for alleged domestic violence and felony battery. It has also been reported that his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. And since there’s a warrant out for his arrest, he most likely wont be attending tonight’s show either. Both of them were set to perform tonight.

Both Brown and girlfriend Rihanna were scheduled to perform at the Grammys, but this statement was released Sunday evening: “We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us this evening.” Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in L.A. when they became involved in an argument, according to a police statement. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker, according to police.

The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance. “If police locate Brown, yes, he’s subject to arrest,” Officer Harding added. When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene, the statement reads. The LAPD is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Earlier Saturday night Brown and Rihanna were at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis’s Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills. When asked about Rihanna’s well being, her rep told PEOPLE, “Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support.”
