Chris Brown hasn’t attended a Grammy Awards show since 2008, but Breezy is reportedly set to make a big comeback at this year’s show, and the word on the street is that he may be performing!

Though Brown’s performance has yet to be formally announced, an anonymous source told the Associated Press Monday that the singer — up for 3 Grammys — will take the stage at the show on Sunday night.

Rihanna — who is up for four awards — is also scheduled to perform at the show, which is known as the biggest music event of the year.

Chris and Rihanna were both supposed to perform at the 2009 Grammys, however both performances were immediately canceled after news broke that Chris had assaulted Rihanna the night before following a pre-Grammy event.

As a result of the incident, Brown was charged and placed probation, and was put on a restraining order that said he had to stay at least 10 yards away from Rihanna at special events.

Since then, Brown has decided against attending the Grammys, even though he was nominated for three awards last year.

Last February, just in time for the 2010 Grammys, a judge finally eased the restraining order after Rihanna’s lawyers accepted a request from Chris’ lawyers to lift it, however a previous engagement prevented the 22-year-old singer from attending the ceremony.

Chris Brown has been nominated for Grammys in five of the past six years, but he has never taken home a trophy. His hit single “Look At Me Now,” which features rappers Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, is up for two Grammys: “Best Rap Song” and “Best Rap Performance.”

Rihanna, on the other hand, has won  a total four Grammys, three with Jay-Z and one alone, which she won last year for her smash single “Only Girl (in the World).”

The 2012 Grammys are set to air live on CBS this coming Sunday (Feb 12) from the Staples Center in Los Angeles!

Her ex boyfriend Chris Brown and former rumored love interest (and 2-time collaborator) Drake were also in the building partying it up, which makes the second time in the past 2 weeks that Rihanna and Chris Brown have publicly breathed the same air at the exact same place.

On January 22nd, the pair were spotted leaving Greystone Manor after a night of partying, but they didn’t leave together, nor were they spotted even acknowledging each other’s presence inside the venue.

Brown, who was with his girlfriend Karrueche, left the club through the front door, while Rihanna exited through a side door and hopped into her own SUV.

The week before, Chris’ reps had put out a statement insisting that he and Rihanna are “just friends” following a tabloid report stating that the former lovers would “meet up very casually” and Rihanna “comes to see Brown anytime she’s in L.A.”

“He and Rihanna are just friends,” Chris’ reps noted. “He is with his girlfriend, Karrueche, and is not cheating.”

It was just a few weeks ago that Chris Brown and Rihanna were subliminally tweeting each other about love, and now the pair have fueled speculation that they are getting back together even more after being spotted leaving the EXACT SAME L.A. nightclub Sunday night (Jan 22) after a night of partying.

But they didn’t leave together, nor were they spotted even acknowledging each other’s presence inside the venue.

TMZ reported that several people who were at the club (Greystone Manor in West Hollywood) tweeted that as far as they could see, Rihanna and Chris had ZERO contact with each other.

Breezy, who was with his girlfriend Karrueche, left the club through the front door, while Rihanna exited through a side door and hopped into her own SUV.

Just last week, reps for Chris put out a statement insisting that he and his ex girlfriend Rihanna are “just friends” after several insiders said that the pair would “meet up very casually” and Rihanna “comes to see Brown anytime she’s in L.A.”

“He and Rihanna are just friends,” noted Chris’ reps. “He is with his girlfriend, Karrueche, and is not cheating.”

However, a source recently revealed to Radar Online that while Chris and Rihanna have indeed been “hooking up,” they will never get back together.

“They have probably hooked up no more than half a dozen times in the past year. It’s very unlikely that Rihanna and Chris would ever get back together though. Rihanna doesn’t care if she were to get public backlash if they were to reconcile, she is the one calling the shots now, which she likes. Rihanna knows that if they were to get back together, she wouldn’t be able to maintain that strong role, and Chris would lose interest. They are both very young, and Rihanna would never be able to trust Chris because he has problems staying faithful.”

Yeah … Sounds like Chris Brown and Rihanna are “friends” alright. “Friends with Benefits!”

Chris Brown has denied reports claiming that he and Rihanna have been hooking up over the past year.

According to US Weekly, the former couple had allegedly been spending a lot of time together in L.A. and were rekindling their old flame.

A source tells the magazine, “They can’t get enough of each other. I don’t see it ending well.”

“Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that,” Adds another insider.

However Chris’ rep is saying otherwise….and insists that the two are only friends.

“He and Rihanna are just friends. He’s not cheating.”

As we all know now, Chris Brown‘s manager Tina Davis recently announced that the R&B/Pop performer will be letting his talent speak for himself this year, and will not be conducting any interviews.

But why…and how did Team Breezy come up with such a major decision that will definitely affect the success of his career, either in a good way, or a bad way?

Billboard: Did you map out a strategy? Or is this comeback a natural course?

Tina Davis: It was a combination. It was about us keeping the faith, and focusing on believing in God’s plan for Chris. Since he was 14, Chris has had a creative vision and direction for himself. So it was easy to work with him and figure out how to deal with the setbacks. Of course, I could have said, “This is what you’re going to do… this is how it’s going to go,” which a lot of managers do. The label [Jive Records] supported Chris and never turned its back on him. But it was Chris who came up with putting out a mixtape.

As much as some people wanted him to go away, his business life and personal life are totally two different things. And his love for music and his talent still shone throughout all of the good and bad times. So part of the strategy was to introduce his core fan base to Chris Brown now: the same talented guy who’s 22 and has a little more edge.

How difficult was it to gain some positive momentum?

As you can imagine, everybody and his mother had an idea as to what Chris could do to come back. Even to the point of being in his ear saying, “Hey, you need to let go of your manager.” But what Chris paid attention to was not so much the fact that this or that person had an answer. His only thing was to keep writing, keep recording, keep letting out [his] emotions and feelings within [his] music so people can better understand [him] and love [his] music.

The hardest part was trying to get people to understand that it wasn’t as easy as saying, “I’m sorry,” or having the right answers in an interview. It takes more than a year to deal with things that have happened in your past — whether you’re 50 or 20.

What strategic elements are you still implementing?

Not have him do interviews but to concentrate on performing and recording. It was something we set a while back. We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in any way. If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent. He signed up to sing and entertain. Not to talk about his personal life. We look at it as starting all over. Our grind, our choices are different than they probably would have been three years ago. But we are humbly trying to get back into the swing of things. He has this movie and other scripts are coming our way. A couple of different companies have been talking to us about partnering with him. They’re not afraid to stand next to him. They understand that hey, this young man has another 20-30 years to go. He has a right to be able to grow up and learn about being a man, being a person.

Chris Brown is trying something new for 2012.

In a rather extreme effort to keep his image as squeaky clean as possible for the new year, Chris Brown has announced (through his manager) that he will not be doing ANY interviews this year.

He will instead put extreme focus and dedication into recording new music and performing shows. Or, in other words, he’s letting his talent, rather than his mouth, speak for him.

“We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in anyway. If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent,” the R&B singer’s manager Tina Davis said in a statement.

2012 will also mark the first time in 3 years (since the Rihanna incident) that Chris Brown will attend the Grammy Awards, where he has scored 3 nominations in the categories of “Best R&B Album,” “Best Rap Performance,” and “Best Rap Song.”

“Chris has grown tremendously as a person, and an artist from that time in his life,” a source close to Brown tells RadarOnline.com.

“Chris has complied with all terms of his probation and has completed most of his court ordered community service. He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did.”

The source continued, “Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys.”

“Chris absolutely plans on attending the Grammys and is in talks with producers of the show to possibly perform. Chris performed at the MTV Video Music Awards several months ago, and his performance was simply over the top as he was flying through the air like an acrobat. Chris’ performance stole the show, and he would love to do something at the Grammy’s to top his VMA performance,” the insider added.

Rihanna also scored a few Grammy nods of her own, and thankfully, just last year, a Los Angeles judge eased up on the restraining order that would have legally required the two singers to stay several hundred yards away from each other … which would have been damn near impossible, most likely.

It will be also very interesting to see if the two decide to pose for any photos together (or even near one another) while at the event.

Among the many celebs who chose to ring in the new year in Las Vegas was Chris Brown, who hosted a New Year’s Eve party at Pure Nightclub at Caesar’s Palace Saturday night (Dec 31).

The 22-year-old entertainer was joined by his girlfriend Karrueche Tran and an extremely large group of friends as they all brought in the year 2012 in Sin City.

After the clock struck midnight, guests were reportedly treated to a fireworks display, followed by a live performance from Chris, who later danced the night away with his pals until the early morning on New Year’s Day.

Though they never @mentioned each other, the fact that their tweets were published just minutes apart has raised several eyebrows and has many believing that the messages were clearly intended for each other.

Fat Joe and Chris Brown were spotted on the beaches of Southern California shooting the video for their collaboration single “Another Round,” directed by Collin Tilley.

And how did this collaboration come about, you ask?

“I’ve known him for years and we toured together in Africa and he was like, ‘We gotta do something.’ I’m like, ‘You are the hottest ni*ga in the game right now; why wouldn’t I want to do something with you?’” Fat Joe explained to Rap-Up.com. “He always told me that for years but at the time, he was like 15, 16 and just so young. I was like, ‘Yo, it wouldn’t even be right.’ But now he’s a grown ass man, so it makes sense.”

Chris Brown put on a great performance when he hit the stage at the 2011 AMAs in L.A. last night (Sun Nov 20).

Donning a simple white t-shirt and jeans, the R&B/Pop singer began his performance with the slow jam “All Back” before transitioning into the upbeat dance tune “Say it With Me,” where Breezy got a chance to really let loose and show off his slick dance moves.

Drake is denying recent claims that Chris Brown elbowed him in the face during an altercation.

Last week, DJ Whoo Kid told UK radio personality Tim Westwood about the alleged incident where Drizzy is said to have gotten an elbow to the face from Breezy, and speculated that the fight could have been over Drake’s involvement with Brown’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

But in a new interview with The Daily Beast, the Canadian rapper shot down those claims, and said that the incident never happen.

“I respect Chris Brown,” he said. “I’d like to call myself a friend – I don’t know if I’m allowed to do that, but I definitely didn’t get elbowed in my face. Somebody would’ve got knocked the f**k out.”

Yeah right Drake … You ain’t even to close to being bout that life!

Michael Jackson‘s only daughter Paris Jackson showed up at Chris Brown‘s concert in Los Angeles to show her support for the young Pop star … and even spent time with Chris backstage after the show!

Sans her two brothers Prince Michael and Blanket, 13-year-old Paris and a group of her friends spent their evening screaming Brown’s name while singing and dancing along to Chris Brown’s concert set.

Young Paris even threw her arms in the air and made a heart shape with her hands for Chris. Looks like she had one hell of a time!

After the show, Paris took to her Twitter to express how much fun she had at the concert, sending out a special tweet the singer:

“AMAZING Show Tonight!! You were Outstanding!!”

“Blew my MIND!!! I was in the front and it was just like, mind-blowing!! hahaha! Amazing, mind-blowing, outstanding, crazy, like indescribable lol”

We hear Michael Jackson was a fan of Chris Brown so he would be proud to know that his daughter supports the young superstar as well.

The nominations for the 2011 Soul Train Music Awards were announced late last week, and leading the pack is Chris Brown with 5 nominations, followed by Beyonce and Kanye West, each with 4 nods.

Other artists up for awards include Kelly Rowland, Adele, Marsha Ambrosius and Miguel, who all have 3 nominations a piece.

The 2011 Soul Train Awards will be hosted by Cedric “The Entertainer” and will feature performances from Jill Scott, Robin Thicke, Natalie Cole, Mindless Behavior, Joe and BeBe Winans.

The show will tape on November 17th at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, and will air on BET on Sunday, November 27th at 9 pm.

After reports surfaced that Chris Brown wouldn’t be able to perform over the past weekend in Wales for the big Michael Jackson tribute concert, many assumed that the singer was “banned” from the country because of his criminal record.

But as it turns out, those are just rumors and representatives for the R&B/Pop singer are now setting the record straight.

A rep for Brown told TMZ this week that Chris was, in fact, INVITED to perform in the show. But unfortunately, “his previously booked domestic F.A.M.E. tour concert dates didn’t allow him to accept the honor and therefore he never planned to go to the UK. He was not banned.”

The rep pointed out that Brown spent last weekend performing in Tampa, Charlotte and Virginia Beach for concert dates that had been scheduled way before he was asked to perform at the MJ concert.

Rihanna has been named the sexiest woman alive in the latest issue of Esquire Magazine.

In her cover story for the November 2011 issue, the pop singer reveals that she is still a big fan of her ex Chris Brown and never wishes anything bad on him.

“It was too much anger. I’m really excited to see the breakthrough he’s had in his career. It’s incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he’s putting out. I’m a fan of his stuff. I’ve always been a fan. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.”

We have a strong feeling that these two are going to get back together in the next few years. They’re too friendly with each other these days.

This issue will hit newsstands Oct. 16th.

Chris Brown took a nasty spill while performing for his “F.A.M.E.” tour Sunday night (Sep 25).

The R&B/Pop star was singing to his dance track “Beautiful People” when he lost his balance and landed right on his butt! He managed to make a graceful recovery though by jumping right up and continuing on with the show, laughing off the accident just moments later.

“I know y’all see me bust my a** (sic)! It’s because I love y’all!” he said, addressing the crowd.

Don’t worry Chris, it happens to even the best of em!

Last month at the MTV Video Music Awards, singer Chris Brown lost his $22k diamond encrusted rolex watch while performing a medley of his hits. Surprisingly, however, an honest fan in the audience shortly returned it to the “Beautiful People” singer’s security detail.

And to show his attitude of gratitude to the young lady (named Alisha), Breezy flew all the way to Cincinnati Thursday night (Sep 22) to give her a reward to thank her for her good deed.

According to TMZ, the reward consisted of 2 “great seats” to his concert at the Riverbend Music Center, and a special invite to hang out with the superstar before the show to eat some cake. He even threw in a signed picture “for good measure,” and posed for a picture that’s being passed around lots of websites (giving the fan a little 15 minutes of fame).

Definitely a good look on Breezy’s part!

Best friends Chris Brown and Bow Wow have confirmed that they will be touring together!

Brown has added Bow to the North American leg of his F.A.M.E. Tour. The “Price of Fame” rapper and new father will kick off his set in Miami on October 5th and will carry on the bill for the rest of the month.

As he readies his 8th studio album “Underrated,” scheduled for a December 6th release, Bow will join T-Pain, Kelly Rowland and Tyga as supporting acts for Chris’ tour.

“It’s gonna be fun, you know?” Bow promised. “Me and Breezy are brothers man. Our fans know that. It’s just a different energy when we are on the same bill together or in the same arena. The fans know what to expect, and that’s a hell of a show.”

The official nominations for the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards are in … and guess who’s leading the pack of nominees?

We’ll give you a hint: The same guy who sold almost a million albums last week!

Lil Wayne landed a whopping 18 nominations in categories like “Best Live Performer,” “Lyricist of the Year,” “MVP of the Year,” “Track of the Year,” and more.

Following behind Weezy with 9 nods is Kanye West, who is also nominated in a few of the aforementioned categories Wayne is nominated in, as well as a few others, including “Video Director of the Year,” “Producer of the Year” and “CD of the Year.” Hip-Hop newcomer Wiz Khalifa was also nominated in 9 different categories.

Other rappers up for multiple trophies include Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Jay-Z and Chris Brown, who technically isn’t considered a “rapper,” but definitely made a big splash on the Hip-Hop scene this year with his “Look at Me Now” single. R&B singer Frank Ocean (who has “rap connections” due to him being in shock rap group Odd Future) was also nominated for a few awards.

Hosted by actor/comedian Mike Epps for the third time in a row, the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on BET on October 11th after the show is recorded at the Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta on October 1st.

After an honest fan returned his $22,000 Rolex watch that he thought he lost during his VMA performance Sunday night … singer Chris Brown wants to reward the young lady for her honesty.

Thanks to the fan’s good heart, the diamond encrusted Rolex is sitting pretty back on Brown’s wrist, and now he wants to shower the female fan with gifts.

A representative from the singers camp told TMZ, “Chris’ bodyguard didn’t get the name of the girl who returned the watch … but they’re hoping she’ll contact them … so Chris can personally thank her and reward her with tickets and backstage passes to his new tour.”

See. Honesty is the best policy people!

During his electric performance at the Nokia Theater during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, Chris Brown thought he threw his $22,000 white oyster faced and diamond-encrusted bezel Rolex watch to a stage minder … but instead threw it into the crowd of screaming fans!

Most people would have pocketed that watch and sold it on eBay within 24 hours. But luckily for Chris, there are still some honest people left on the planet, because when his bodyguard went into the crowd and asked if anyone had seen or found the expensive piece of jewellery a truthful person stepped forward and returned it.

“Although Chris did not get to meet the fan, he is very appreciative of the fan’s actions.” a rep for the ‘Beautiful People’ singer told TMZ.

We bet Chris screamed “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!” when he got that $22k watch back!

We spy with our little eye Lindsay Lohan wanting Chris Brown to be her guy!

Okay … maybe not. But the “Mean Girls” actress did send out what came across as a … “proposition” … to the “Deuces” singer via Twitter.

Just after Brown’s energy filled performance at the VMAs Sunday night, Lohan took to her Twitter account and tweeted “@ChrisBrown killed it. #MTVVMAs” which Chris then re-tweeted for all to see.

Moments later, she tweeted “@chrisbrown wanna meet?” leading many to believe that she wanted to “hook up” with Breezy.

But after a few raised eyebrows and what the hells later from everyone, Lindsay told Gossip Cop “Hahaha. That’s so random!” of her friendliness being mistaken for a proposition.

22-year-old Chris must still be in shock as he has yet to respond to the 25-year-old troubled Hollywood starlet’s tweet.

Word of advice Chris: “Don’t!”

The 2011 MTV VMAs went down last night in L.A. and boasted appearances and performances from several A-List celebrities/entertainers, including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and more.

Breezy, dressed in all white, kicked off his showing with the club-friendly “Yeah 3X” before transitioning into a dance breakdown to “Protect Ya Neck” (by Wu-Tang Clan) and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” After rocking out to Nirvana, the R&B singer was hoisted in the air and flew above the crowd as he performed “Beautiful People,” a cut from his latest album “F.A.M.E.”

Chris Brown and Swizz Beatz shared the stage Monday night (Aug 22) in front over 500 friends and industry tastemakers at the Moorea Beach Club at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The pair were on hand for the Reebok Classics launch party, which was a part of Vegas’ Project trade show.
