Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his beauty queen wife Candice Crawford welcomed their first child together this week.

Hawkins Crawford Romo was born at 8 pounds 8 ounces at 5:30 am on Monday morning (Apr 9), Romo’s NFL colleagues confirmed via their Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

A source told Us Weekly that as well as Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford (Candace’s brother) the entire family was there to celebrate the joyous occasion.

Chace Crawford said of his NFL star brother-in-law recently, “He’s over-the-moon excited about it. He’s just such a wonderful person … He was born ready to have a family, you know what I mean? So it makes perfect sense.”

Candace Crawford and Tony Romo wed back in May 2011, and announced shortly after in October that they were expecting.
