Here’s the official GOT video premiere of Britney Spears‘ brand new music video for “Womanizer“. Be on the look out for her sixth studio album, Circus, which has dubbed as Britney’s “big comeback album,” when it hits stores December 2nd 2008!

On September 26th Jive/SonyBMG released Britney Spears‘ latest single “Womanizer” to radio worldwide, NYC’s Z100-FM was one of the first radio stations to official debut the single. “Womanizer” is produced by Atlanta-based producer The Outsyders for Spears’ sixth studio album following Blackout, entitled Circus. The song appears to be a mix of Spears’ early works such as “Stronger” and “Toxic” with its enticing sirens, catchy beat, anthem-like appeal. I think I can hear Keri Hilson in the background vocals, which leads me on to believe that maybe she penned this single.Circus in stores Winter 2008.

KANYE WEST TO RELEASE 4TH ALBUM THIS WINTER » Popular online shopping portal Amazon has Kanye West’s new album up for presale! “808’s & Heartbreak” (Def Jam) has been tagged with a December 16th 2008 release and a price of $12.99. The label has neither confirmed nor denied this information, so we’ll just have to see how this all pans out. The new album will, of course, include Kanye’s latest single, “Love Lockdown,” which he premiered to the world Sunday night at the 2008 MTV VMAs. No word yet on any other singles, who he worked with, or who’s featured on the album.

LOS ANGELES // SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH 2008 » I didn’t really get a chance to sit down and watch the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, so I can’t really tell you what went down, but judging by the photos, it looks to have been a pretty good show; much better than last year, I hope! But anyway, I figure it will come on 50 million more times over the next few weeks, so I’ll be able to catch the re-runs. AFTER BEING DENIED, AMY WINEHOUSE GETS U.S. VISA ANYWAY » The U.S. government has reversed its decision from earlier in the week and will be granting Amy Winehouse a visa for Sunday’s Grammy Awards. But the decision came a little too late, so she’s going to stick to her plan to perform live via satellite from London.

“Unfortunately, due to the logistics involved and timing complications, Amy will not be coming to the U.S. this weekend to perform at the Grammys in Los Angeles, however she will still be performing via satellite broadcast from London as previously announced this morning. Amy would like to thank all of those people, and in particular the staff involved at the U.S. Embassy in London, who have all worked so hard to expedite her application. She is very sad not to be attending the prestigious awards in person, but wishes to express her heartfelt gratitude to all of those involved in the process,” reps for the nominee said in a statement.

WESLEY SNIPES ACQUITTED OF TAX FRAUD, BUT MAY STILL SERVE TIME » Wesley Snipes was acquitted of tax fraud in a Florida courtroom on Friday, but was convicted of failure to file taxes. Snipes, who was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of failing to file a tax return on his income that amounted to millions of dollars. As he left the court room, he said: “I’m feeling great – a little confused, but great.” When asked if he is worried about going to prison, he replied, “I don’t know. It’s nice to be out here with you right now. We live in the moment.” He was acquitted of two felonies, including conspiracy to commit tax fraud. He was also acquitted of three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file a tax return. Snipes now faces up to three years in federal prison, which is a lot better than facing a possible 16-year prison sentence, had he been convicted of failure to file taxes.

And speaking of “failure to file taxes,” another celebrity might be in trouble! Word on the sidewalk is that Fat Joe might owe over $150,000 in back taxes to the IRS. CONTINUE READING

Amy’s finally in Rehab, and now it has been confirmed by the New York Daily News that another troubled star is finally getting the help that she needs. Britney Spears, who is rumored to have attempted suicide last night, was committed to a psychiatric ward early this morning after it was reported that she was “driving around her neighborhood like a mad woman” last night and refused to take her meds.

The drama went down around 4 a.m. New York time when cops on motorbikes and a fire department ambulance rushed onto the grounds of Spears’ gated Studio City mansion. Once inside, Britney is said to have gone easily, without a struggle. “The package is on the way,” cops radioed once Spears was in hand, the Times reported. People.com reported that Spears’ mom, Lynne, friend Alli Sims, manager Osama Lufti were all there and The Times said that cops were called in by Spears’ psychiatrist. What followed was a made-for-paparazzi spectacle: the international superstar was escorted down Coldwater Canyon Boulevard by a dozen motorcycle cops, two squad cars - and two police helicopters!

The Times reported that the line of emergency vehicles “stretched longer than a football field.” There have been several reports that Britney’s family was looking to get her intensive psychological help, perhaps by holding an intervention. It seems as her family pulled the trigger on the plan to get her help after her latest bizarre behavior. “She was driving around her neighborhood like a mad-woman,” says a Spears family source. “Britney has been prescribed medication which she refuses to take. This is just another sad, sad evening.” Initially, several tabloid news websites widely reported Spears, 26, had killed herself - something that was later denied by Lutfi and Sims, People.com reported.

The singer was committed by her family and Lutfi on what is known as a 5150 in California - a law that allows someone to be held against their will if they’re found to be a danger to themselves or others because of a mental illness. That was the same reason used to get Spears committed to the mental ward at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this month after her standoff with cops over her two kids. Lutfi told ABC’s Barbara Walters that Spears has been unable to sleep and is distraughtbecause she can’tsee her tots - Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2. A judge has granted ex-husband Kevin Federline temporary full custody of the two and demanded Britney get psychological help. “There is no question she is bipolar… she’s had manic episodes for years,” a source told People.

Will this help her? I guess, as usual, we’ll just have to wait and see…

Pop singer Britney Spears kicked off the year 2008 in a way that she, and only she, can. If you remember correctly, she earned a spot at the top of our celebrities who failed to “Think2wice” in 2007 list, and it appears like she might make the top spot for this year too!

Police were called to Britney Spears’ home Thursday night in a custodial dispute that lasted nearly three hours before an intoxicated Spears reportedly turned over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Officers were called to the home around 8 p.m., and the 26-year-old singer turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman, told City News Service. Aerial footage from KTLA-TV showed Spears being lifted in a gurney into an ambulance. It was unclear where she was being taken. Lee said Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance, and no injuries were reported.

The incident involved a family dispute that police worked to resolve “peacefully by court order,” he said. An Associated Press photographer outside the gated community that includes Spears’ house saw six police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck enter around 10:30 p.m. A dispatcher with the fire department referred calls to the police department. Spears and Federline are fighting over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. Federline, 29, has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. The two were married in October 2004 and divorced in July.
