First up we have Kim Kardashian and her BFF Brittny Gastineau, who were both spotted doing some shopping at Barneys New York in Los Angeles Friday afternoon (Oct 23). Rapper/actress Queen Latifah was seen leaving Urth Cafe after a morning work-out in West Hollywood Friday morning (Oct 23). And the west coast paparazzi also snapped some pics of singer/actress Brandy as she did some shopping on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles Sunday (Oct 25).

Damn is everybody trying to go short these days?! After rocking braids for so long, Brandy decided to change up her look and wear long, straight hair back in 2002 when she released her third studio album, Full Moon. Now, fast forward to 2009 and the 30-year-old R&B singer has either cut her hair or got one of those short wigs, like Ciara (we’re not hair experts so we have no idea). And here’s a first look at her new ‘do via a picture she released on her Twitter Saturday morning. We’re still not sure whether or not we’re feeling it so we’re going to save our judgment until she shows us more angles. But it doesn’t look too bad from the side…

According to Jawn Murray over at AOL BV Buzz, R&B singer Brandy has been released from her recording contract with Epic Records due to subpar album sales. The 30-year-old’s fifth studio album, Human, released on December 8th 2008, has only sold 196,509 units to date.

“Her friend Brandon Creed that works as an A&R representative at Epic Records has been making calls to see if other labels would be interested in signing her,” a record company source told me.

In addition, Brandy has also parted ways with her management. The former ‘Moesha’ star had been represented in recent months by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Management. The McComb, Miss.-bred singer’s relationship with Roc Nation supposedly dissolved because of “creative differences.”
