Bobby Brown hasn’t put out an album in well over a decade, but that’s about to change with this year’s release of his fifth studio album. And the first single from the project, which is his first album since 1997′s “Forever,” is a song called “Don’t Let Me Die.”

According to Billboard, the R&B singer will also make various TV appearances later this month to promote his new single and his new album “The Masterpiece,” which is due to be released on June 5th.

Speaking on his new project, Brown — who wants to “bridge the gab between good old R&B and R&B of today” — said in a press release:

“I simply wanted to create a body of work that will take listeners on a musical journey … The style of music that will allow people to get in touch with their highs and lows and their joys and pain of living through song.”

Bobby Brown has had an enormous amount of media attention and scrutiny placed on him in the months following the death of his ex wife Whitney Houston, so it will definitely be interesting to see how the public takes to the release of this new album.

Bobby Brown has finally broken his silence on Whitney Houston‘s death and his current relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

In an interview with the “Today” show that aired this week — his first since Whitney Houston died on February 11th 2012 — Bobby Brown talked about where he was when he found out his ex wife had died.

The 43-year-old singer told host Matt Lauer that he first learned of Houston’s death from a New Edition bandmate shortly before they were to take the stage for a concert.

Brown says he immediately called his daughter, who was too distraught to speak at the time, and someone else confirmed that Houston had indeed passed.

“I just started crying … You never expect someone close to you to just die. It was really hard,” he told Lauer.

Whitney Houston had a long history of drug abuse, but Bobby says he saw her shortly before her death, and she had a “glow” about her, which led him to believe that she was doing well, and was clean and sober.

But toxicology reports released in the months that followed Whitney Houston’s death say she had cocaine in her system at he time of her passing.

Brown says he was shocked to learn that his ex wife was still struggling with cocaine, as he himself has been clean for over seven years.

He was also quick to deny accusations that he is the one to blame for her death, and that her relationship with him was her downfall.

“It makes me feel terrible, but I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us and spent time around us instead of time looking through the bubble, they would know how we felt about each other,” Brown said, adding that his 2005 reality show “Being Bobby Brown” helped him and Whitney to both see how their drug abuse negatively impacted their relationship.

Brushing off allegations that he he was the reason Houston started using drugs, Brown said, “I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all … I’m not the reason she’s gone.”

Despite everything, Brown told Lauer that his relationship with Whitney “was great … I had 14 beautiful years with that woman. I can honestly say that — I love that woman — with everything I am. And I believe she loved me the same way.”

Bobby Brown also talked about rumors that he and Whitney’s only child together — their daughter Bobbi Kristina — is a drug abuser.

“She’s fine,” the R&B singer told Matt Lauer in the second half of their interview. “She knows that her mom is gone, and she knows that she has to live.”

“I know what she is actually doing. I think people are making assumptions of what my daughter is and how strong she is,” he said. “I am her father. She talks to me about everything.”

“Everything,” he said, includes her love life, and her rumored romance with Nick Gordon, a close family friend she once called her adopted brother.

“I would expect her to have a boyfriend,” Brown told Lauer. But he shot down rumors that Bobbi Kristina and Gordon were romantically involved with each other, saying they are “definitely not” together in that way.

Though Bobbi Kristina denied to be a part of the interview, the R&B singer’s other children — three from previous relationships — joined him for part of the interview and defended their father’s reputation.

“Everyone has their ups and downs,” his daughter LaPrincia said. “You can’t always be judged for that.”

“The bad boy image is just a part of the performance,” Landon Brown — his oldest son — said.

Bobby Brown also discussed the controversy surrounding his attendance at Whitney’s funeral, where he says he and his children were told by security that they wouldn’t be able to sit together.

Bobby says he felt “disrespected,” and he didn’t want to sit separately from his family, so he simply left early, kissing the casket of his ex-wife on the way out.

“I decided that, you know, it’d be best if I just left. I kissed the casket, and me and my children left the building,” he said.

Bobby Brown — who has been a staple in the media in recent months following the death of his ex wife Whitney Houston — was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the Los Angeles area yesterday.

According to TMZ, Brown, who has several DUI convictions on his record, was pulled over in Reseda, CA around noon on Monday (Mar 26) for allegedly driving while talking on a cell phone.

Cops told the website they believed Brown was HAMMERED DRUNK at the time of his arrest, and they booked him for driving under the influence and driving with the blood alcohol content of .08 or higher. He bailed out of jail after about 2 hours.

Bobby Brown — currently on tour with his R&B singing group New Edition — has been making headlines ever since Whitney Houston died on February 11th in a Beverly Hills hotel room.

Brown was turned away from the scene of Whitney’s death, and also famously left her funeral service before they began after a disagreement with the Houston family.

On top of all that, Bobby Brown’s only child with Whitney Houston, their 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina (who reportedly wants to legally change her name to “Kristina Houston” to break ties with him) is running around Atlanta hugging and kissing all over her “adopted brother” turned boyfriend Nicholas Gordon.

Wow. Sounds like Bobby Brown is going through it right now…

Whitney Houston‘s good friend and rumored lover Ray J is firing back at claims from Bobby Brown‘s other sister Leolah Brown that he provided the late singer with the drugs that contributed to her tragic death.

On Thursday (Mar 22), news broke that Whitney Houston’s February 11th death was caused by accidental drowning aided by drugs in her system, including some cocaine that she had apparently taken immediately before she got into the bathtub, where her bodyguard found her unconscious.

Leolah Brown (Whitney’s former sister-in-law) was on Dr. Drew to speak about the news, and basically blamed Ray J for Whitney’s death by accusing him of supplying Whitney with the cocaine that coroners say caused her to go into cardiac arrest, pass out, then drown.

“I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel, hiding his head, being pushed into the car,” she told Drew. “Why? I looked and I said, ‘why is he hiding his face?’ He’s always trying to show his face when he’s around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now Ray J?”

Now Ray J has spoken out against Leolah’s allegations, calling her interview with Dr. Drew “rife with false statements,” and denying any involvement with Whitney’s recent cocaine use.

And furthermore … Leolah wasn’t even anywhere near Whitney or the Beverly Hilton hotel the day she died. In fact, she and Whitney haven’t even been in contact for over a year!

His reps sent the following statement to Gossip On This:

“Even though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, CNN proceeded to broadcast an interview with Ms. Brown in which she falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston’s death.

“Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year and was no where near the scene on the day of her death.”

Ray J’s rep also said in another statement to TMZ that he didn’t even know Whitney was using cocaine again, and her allegations that he was to blame for her untimely death are NOT true … because he wasn’t with Houston the day she died. He was in San Diego.

So in other words … Leolah Brown is a big fat liar.

It’s no secret that Bobbi Kristina Brown and her father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, don’t have the closest relationship. And now, further proving just that, Bobbi Kristina plans to legally change both her first AND last names in an effort to end all ties with her dad. (At least as far as her name is concerned)

Bobbi Kristina was obviously named after her father, and now, according to TMZ, the 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston plans on changing her entire name to simply “Kristina Houston.”

Bobbi Kris, who is set to inherit her mother’s entire fortune, first played with the idea of changing her name when her parents separated years ago, but Whitney wouldn’t let her.

But now that Whitney’s gone, Bobbi Kristina — most likely at the urging of her grandmother Cissy Houston (who isn’t the biggest Bobby Brown fan either) — is really going through with the name change and has already told her friends all about it.

Though it is unclear when the change will be made official, friends say Bobbi Kristina is in a “better place,” and made the big decision to change her name with a clear and “sober” mind.

In light of Whitney Houston‘s recent passing, Target has decided to pull an offensive greeting card from their shelves that mocks the late music legend.

“Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston,” the card reads, in an obvious (and lame) reference the singer’s tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown.

“The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston’s death. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores,” a rep for the store said in a statement. “It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer, and we take feedback from guests very seriously.”

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were married for nearly 15 years before divorcing in 2007.

As we reported earlier, Bobby Brown walked out of Whitney Houston‘s funeral in New Jersey today just moments before the service was scheduled to begin.

In a statement released by his rep, the R&B singer explained:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.

“I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina.

“In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events.

“This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

An emotional Bobby Brown was spotted getting into his car shortly after arriving to Whitney Houston‘s funeral in New Jersey Saturday (Feb 18).

The 43-year-old R&B singer — who married Whitney Houston in 1992, had a daughter (Bobbi Kristina) with her, then divorced in 2007 — was reportedly denied entry to Newark, New Jersey’s New Hope Baptist Church, where funeral services for Houston are being held.

Shortly after the service began came initial reports from Twitter users that Bobby was seen leaving the church with a sad expression on his face, with his fiancee Alicia Etheridge and his children at his side.

According to reports from AP, Brown arrived to the church with a large, 9-person entourage as the service began.

He walked up to the casket, touched it, then walked to the back of the New Jersey church to take his seat.

Security guards told Brown that would be seated, and the large group accompanying him would be seated elsewhere.

Brown, upset that his people couldn’t sit with him, walked out with his entourage, and they all left in waiting SUVs.

Contrary to previous rumors and reports, Bobby Brown will be attending Whitney Houston‘s private funeral service in New Jersey this weekend.

TMZ reported earlier in the week that Brown was “extremely disappointed” after learning that several members of his ex wife’s family did not want him to attend her funeral.

While he never received any official word from the family about his invite status, “sources” told the website that Brown was warned by several people that the Houston family wasn’t very fond of him, so he should stay away from Whitney’s funeral.

But it looks like the Houstons have had a change of heart, and realize that Brown needs to be there, especially for his 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina, who has obviously been having a hard time dealing with the sudden death of her mother.

“At the last minute, the family felt that it would keep the peace at the funeral [to have Bobby there] … even though some family members were against it,” sources close to the Houston family revealed to TMZ.

The funeral is planned for Saturday at 12 noon. The ceremony will be streamed live online (courtesy of the AP) from the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.

In addition to Bobby Brown, other celebrities slated to attend Whitney Houston’s funeral include Oprah Winfrey, Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry and others. Aretha Franklin (Houston’s godmother) and Stevie Wonder are scheduled to sing.

Immediately after the funeral, TMZ reports that Bobby Brown hop on a flight to Connecticut where he will perform with New Edition at the Mohegan Sun Indian Casino at around 8pm Saturday night.

As to be expected, Bobbi Kristina Brown — the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — has been taking the sudden death of her superstar mother really hard.

So hard, in fact, that after the sad news broke that Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Saturday, Bobbi Kristina had an complete emotional breakdown, and was reportedly rushed to the hospital twice in the hours that followed.

After being released from the hospital for the second time, came a report from TMZ saying that family members are trying to get the “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable” 18-year-old some help because they fear that she might be suicidal.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ … the family believes she might try and take her own life. According to one source, the family feels Bobbi Kristina needs help and they are considering rehab as an option.

Bobby Brown released a statement today concerning the well-being of his daughter, who is currently at home resting with her brothers and sisters. (Sidebar: Bobby Brown has five children from other relationships.)

“My daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” Bobby Brown says in the statement. “She has been released and is presently with my family including her siblings.”

“Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her,” Brown continued, “However we will get through this tragedy as a family.”

Whitney Houston‘s ex husband Bobby Brown is among the many celebrities who have been left devastated by the singer’s unexpected death over the weekend.

After hearing the news that his former wife (and the mother of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown) had suddenly passed, Bobby Brown — who was preparing to go on stage in Mississippi with his New Edition bandmates — was reported by TMZ to be “distraught” and “in and out of crying fits.”

The New Edition concert in Mississippi went on as scheduled, and Bobby performed with the group, but it was obviously difficult for the R&B singer, who paid tribute to Houston in the middle of his performance by pointing to the sky and saying, “I love you Whitney.”

“The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage,” Brown told the sold out crowd before walking off the stage to grieve, unable to finish the show.

Brown, who divorced from Houston in 2007 after 15 years of marriage, said he chose to go on with the performance because New Edition fans have been loyal to the group for more than 2 decades.

One of Houston’s early hits “You Give Good Love” played during an intermission, which prompted fans to stand up and sing along to the music.

Brown and Houston married in July 1992 and had one daughter, Bobbi Kristina, on Mach 4, 1993.

The couple’s infamously tumultuous relationship was often tabloid fodder and the subject of a ton of (mostly negative) media attention up until they separated in September 2006, followed by their divorce in 2007.

“When you love, you love. I mean, do you stop loving somebody because you have different images? You know, Bobby and I basically come from the same place,” Whitney Houston told Rolling Stone in 1993. “You see somebody, and you deal with their image, that’s their image. Many of Houston’s fans will forever blame Brown for Houston’s later personal difficulties, which included a purported drug habit Houston once denied.

Bobby Brown released an official statement on Sunday, saying, “I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown — Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s 18-year-old daughter — was reportedly rushed to the hospital late last night after having a “complete breakdown,” a source confirmed with People Magazine this morning.

According to published reports, Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton Hotel on a stretcher. The Beverly Hilton is the same hotel where Whitney Houston was found dead less than 24 hours ago.

Law enforcement sources say that Bobbi Kristina was in the hotel lobby around the same time Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at around 3:55 pm PT, but was turned away by police, which resulted in Bobbi getting into an angry shouting match with officers.

“[Bobbi Kristina] was screaming, ‘What’s wrong with her? What’s wrong with her?,” a source said.

Later that night, at around 11 pm, the 18-year-old was taken to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center “because she was having a complete breakdown,” the source added. She was released shortly after, but TMZ reported this morning that she was rushed to the hospital again, this time via an ambulance.

Bobbi Kristina is Whitney’s only child from her marriage to Bobby Brown, which lasted from 1992 to 2007.

“Her life will be shattered,” one close source told Us Weekly of Bobbi Kristina following Houston’s death. “Bobbi was always by [Whitney's] side in everything she did.”

Right now there aren’t many details regarding Bobbi Kristina’s condition, but she should definitely be kept in everyone’s thoughts and prayers…

Bobby Brown almost caused a scene at DJ Cassidy’s birthday party in New York Wednesday night (Jul 6) after he pulled a waitress by her pony tail when she walked away from him when he was talking to her.

The R&B bad boy got into the altercation with the catering staffer just before hitting the stage with his 80′s group New Edition at DJ Cassidy’s celebrity-filled 30th birthday celebration onboard the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier.

“During the band’s sound check earlier that evening, Bobby was talking to one of the waitresses, but she walked away from the conversation before he was finished talking. Then Bobby pulled her ponytail. She complained to her bosses, and Intrepid security called event organizers,” a source told the NY Post’s gossip column Page Six.

When Bobby B and his crew finished performing and returned to continue partying for the event, “security spoke to Bobby’s management and the situation was resolved,” the source said.

Reps for Brown confirmed the incident, saying it was all a misunderstanding. “It wasn’t anything detrimental or anything,” a rep said. “He did it in a playful way and it was fine. It was a misunderstanding. Everything was fine; no one had any issues.”

R&B star Bobby Brown has had his fair shares of ups and downs during his career and knows all too well what it’s like to get a chance or two to redeem himself. That’s why it’s no surprise that he feels Chris Brown deserves a break and a chance to get back on his feet and redeem himself.

In a recent interview with Street Disciplez Radio, Bobby said of Chris:

“Chris Brown just give that brother a break, because we don’t know what happened between them in that relationship. We don’t know what went on between them, too. I think Chris Brown is a talented artist. I think Chris Brown deserves a second chance, no matter what. Because he’s young and he’s talented.

“Rihanna is doing her thing, Rihanna moved on and people need to move on with what happened between their relationship. And, I think Chris Brown deserves a second chance.

Oops! Sister 2 Sister Magazine had the Internet buzzing over the weekend with reports that R&B singer Bobby Brown was expecting his 6th child with his fiancee Alicia Etheridge. However … it turns out the reports are NOT true, and the magazine has apologized for their error.

Shortly after reporting the story, S2S released a retraction explaining how a “transcription error” made them mistakenly report that Bobby and Alicia were expecting their second child together.

Due to a transcription error, S2S mistakingly reported that Bobby Brown’s fiancée, Alicia Etheredge, is expecting a second child.

However, Alicia has recently verified that she and Bobby are not expecting and are too busy chasing around little Cassius to even think of expanding their family right now.

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown are said to be teaming up for an intervention to save their out of control daughter Bobbi Kristina, who just turned 18 earlier this month and has been the subject of recent media attention regarding her alleged drug abuse.

In the days leading up to her 18th birthday on March 4th, the National Enquirer published photos of the teenage celebuspawn allegedly snorting cocaine. Now, just weeks later, a source tells the Enquirer that Whitney took away the brand new Lexus she bought her for her birthday, and she and Bobby are sending little Bobbi to an unnamed rehab facility.

Earlier this week, the National Enquirer quoted sources that claimed that following the release of a set of scandalous pictures showing the 17-year-old celebuspawn smoking Newports and drinking Four Lokos, Bobbi K’s mom and dad (Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown) were stepping in to stop their teenage daughter from going into a downward spiral.

However, a rep for Bobby Brown tells E! News:

“There is no truth to the reports about Bobby and Whitney staging an intervention with their daughter.”

So we guess that clears all that up!

The word on the street is that the 17-year-old, whose parents are R&B singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, is developing drug and alcohol addiction issues……just like her mom and dad.

After photos of Bobbi Kristina getting drunk off Four Loko, smoking cigarettes and making out with a girl at an unsupervised party were posted online last month, insiders say her parents (who have both dealt with substance abuse issues) are really worried about her well being, and are stepping in to stop her from going into a downward spiral!

“Whitney and Bobby sat Bobbi Kristina down and read her the riot act,” a family friend told the National Enquirer.  “They brought in counselors and they’re trying to drum into her that because of their problems she’s genetically predisposed to alcoholism and drug addiction. They’ll do anything to spare Bobbi Kristina from the substance abuse hell they’ve both experienced.”

Insiders say that both Bobby and Whitney flipped when pictures surfaced of their daughter downing “blackout in a can” and was seen making out with a young woman at a party. It’s not the first time Bobbi Kristina’s behavior has raised red flags. She tried to stab her mother in 2008 during a confrontation and spent days in a psych hospital after slashing both wrists.

Wow!!! Whitney and Bobby better get a hold of their wild child before it’s too late and she ends up like Lindsay Lohan (x 10)!!

The 2010 ESPY Awards were held yesterday (Wed. Jul 14) in Los Angeles, CA. And celebs like Amber Rose, Mario (who brought along his new girlfriend Dez), Terrell Owens, Chris Bosh, Kenyon Martin, Hank Baskett & Kendra Wilkinson, Zac Efron and more all walked the red carpet before making their way into the Nokia Theater L.A. Here’s some news that may (or may not) shock you: old school R&B singer Bobby Brown proposed to his girlfriend of 3 years live on stage at a concert in Florida over the weekend! After he and his New Edition group members performed their set at Tom Joyner’s Funk Fest concert event in Jacksonville, the 41-year-old singer called up his girlfriend/manager Alicia Etheridge and their 11 month old son Cassius to the stage and asked her to marry him in front of over 10,000 people!

Brown’s last big relationship was with legendary R&B singer Whitney Houston, but the couple divorced after 15 years of marriage. They have a 17-year-old daughter together (Bobbi Kristina). Bobby B. also has three other children from previous relationships.

A nasty rumor made its way around this week saying that R&B singer Bobby Brown had died from lung cancer. And now the former New Edition font-man is personally putting the rumors to rest, confirming that he is indeed alive and well, contrary to what people had been saying earlier this week.

Bobby made a surprise call into Atlanta’s V103 radio station to clear up the rumor. “I’m not dead,” he said. “I couldn’t tell you [where the story started]. I heard about it yesterday and you know, I brushed it off.” According to reports Brown succumbed to lung cancer earlier this week. Once the news hit Twitter, it all but exploded causing Brown to speak out. “I think that Twitter’s getting out of hand. If they kill me off that soon. I don’t even Twitter but, at the same time, I’m alive, period.”

“People started calling my phone. People started calling me and asking me am I okay,” Brown explained. “If you don’t see me or hear from me, it doesn’t mean I’m dead. I’m just thankful, man. I got everyday to look for.”

Word on the sidewalk is that Bobby Brown is taking Kim Ward, the mother of two of his children, to court on June 24th in an attempt to get a judge to lower his child support payments.

Brown claims he has no source of income right now, and can not afford a $5,500 per month child support payment. But what makes Bobby B’s case so bad is that back in early 2007 he was sent to jail for failing to pay Ms. Ward $22,000 in back child support.

Bobby Brown and Kim Ward have teenage children together.

Bobby Brown, his girlfriend Alicia Etheridge and their 6-month-old son Cassius were spotted eating lunch Monday afternoon (Nov 16) at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

Bobby and Alicia met shortly after he and Whitney Houston finalized their divorce back in 2007. Cassius was born in May 2009 making him the couple’s first child together and Brown’s fifth. The “My Prerogative” singer has a total of 5 children, including Cassius, his oldest son Lando (23) and his daughter with Whitney, 16-year-old Bobbi Kristina.

In Bobby Brown’s new tell-all book, he claims his whole relationship with R&B legend Whitney Houston was a hoax! Bobby wrote that the only reason Whitney married him was because she wanted to protect her “good girl” image. He says she was also in a “bisexual relationship” at the time, and she knew that being gay wouldn’t look good for her career.

“(The marriage) was doomed from the very beginning,” Brown writes in ‘Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But…’ “I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married… I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.

“The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image… In Whitney’s situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not.”

Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston filed for divorce back in 2007 after spending 14 years together as husband and wife. They have one daughter together, 16 year old Bobbi Kristina Brown. And Whitney Houston is currently busy promoting her new album, I Look To You.

VH1 reps have revealed that their “Behind the Music” series will return in September 2009 and will feature profiles on rappers Lil Wayne, T.I. and 50 Cent, along with R&B singer and former New Edition member Bobby Brown.

BTM will follow Wayne from his early days as a New Orleans “Hot Boy” all the way to being the “best rapper alive” in 2009. His episode will kick off the return of the series on September 10th. A couple of weeks later on September 28th, Bobby Brown will be featured on the show and they’ll talk about his days as a member of New Edition, his struggles with drugs, his divorce from Whitney Houston and everything in between.

A week and a few days later on October 8th will be T.I.’s episode, where his life as a drug dealer on the streets of Atlanta, the murder of his close friend Philant Johnson and his current stint in federal prison will be highlighted. And less than a week later on October 13th, the show will document 50 Cent’s life, form his near-death experience in May 2000 all the way up until today, where he is now one of the biggest rappers in hip-hop.

All shows will air at 10 PM (EST) with the exception of 50 Cent’s episode, which will air at 8 PM (EST).

While performing at Rok nightclub at the New York New York in Las Vegas, NV last Wednesday (Jun 3) he announced that he has another kid! His girlfriend/manager Alicia Etheridge gave birth to a baby boy, whom they named Cassius the previous weekend. This makes kid #4 (and baby mama #3) for Bobby. Yay for him. :)

This past Friday, legendary R&B singer Whitney Houston and her publicist put out a statement denying any allegations that she has plans to get back together with ex-husband Bobby Brown. According Houston’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, the rumors, which originaly came from The Chicago Sun Times are “a complete fabrication.”

The official word from Camp Houston sticks to the old line about the divorced couple remaining separate, ‘but good friends whose primary interest is the well-being of their daughter.’ Yet, several Georgia sightings of Houston and Brown in recent days — clearly looking very romantic while dining together — seem to boost the reliability of what I’m hearing. I’m also hearing that the divorced couple’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is eager for her parents to remarry.

Rapper Ludacris was spotted at a party for La Senza (lingerie company in Canada) enjoying some hors d’oeuvres and wine in Toronto over the weekend. Pretty random, I’d say!

JAMIE FOXX TO PORTRAY MIKE TYSON IN NEW MOVIE » Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson has chosen actor/comedian Jamie Foxx to portray him in a new movie based on the former boxer’s life story.

“Jamie Foxx and I will be working together,” Tyson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “He will play me in the film about my life. We already talked about it several times.”

Tyson, who has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, claims his biopic will serve as a warning to the youth.

“Even when I was training for a fight, there were no drugs, but I would drink,” he said. “I had never been clean and sober my whole life. This is the first time. I’m tired of losing. I lost the trust of my family, my five kids. I didn’t like that way of life and decided to change. I saw the devil and didn”t want that.”

If writing for this biopic actually happens, the movie won’t begin filming until 2009 or 2010.

BOBBY BROWN TO MENTOR YOUNG PEOPLE » A Brockton, Massachusetts judge has given Bobby Brown community service, instead of making him face criminal charges, in a cocaine possession case stemming from December of last year. The judge has recommended that he volunteer to mentor area youth.

On December 1, 2007, police say they were responding to a disturbance call at the Brockton hotel, and found the former R&B singer sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot with some cocaine on his person. Brown has agreed to a 1-year community service sentence and his attorney said that if no other issues come up over the next year or so, the matter will be struck from the docket.

MICHAEL JACKSON WILL BE SELLING NEVERLAND RANCH » Word on the asphalt is that Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch will be put up for public auction if he doesn’t come up with $24 million by March 2008. According to a court filing, Financial Title Co. told MJ on Monday that if he can’t pay off the loan he has with them, an auction to sell the ranch to the highest bidder will take place March 19th 2008 at the Santa Barbara County courthouse.

Yesterday TMZ put out a story saying that Bobby Brown had a HEART ATTACK SCARE and recorded a “death bed video” and err-thang! . . . Well according to Bobby-B himself, that’s totally not the case. The “King of R&B” (according to Whitney Houston) spoke with Lee Bailey of Eurweb exclusively about the “incident.” Apparently he was just in for a pre-tour checkup. Way to go TMZ!

A healthy-sounding Bobby Brown spoke exclusively with EUR’s Lee Bailey Wednesday to deny published reports that he was taken to two Los Angeles hospitals Tuesday night with severe chest pains that were later diagnosed as a mild heart attack. “I heard that I had a heart attack earlier, but I didn’t,” Brown told Bailey during a phone call Wednesday afternoon. Reports on TMZ.com, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Associated Press cited confirmation from Brown’s Atlanta-based lawyer, Phaedra Parks, who said Wednesday: “This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack … they attributed (it) to stress and diet.”

However, the 38-year-old singer said he went to the hospital for a simple pre-tour check-up – “I gotta make sure my vitals and everything is straight” – and next thing he knew, folks were reporting that he had suffered a heart attack. “That’s what happens when you’re Bobby Brown,” he joked. “I just had some procedures done. The doc cleared me and said, you know, [go] do what I do.” As for his lawyer Parks’ confirmation to various outlets regarding the supposed heart attack, Brown says: “She got bad information from somewhere else, and that just goes to show that people need to talk to each other more often in order to make things right.”

“But everything’s all right with me. I got a clean bill of health and everything’s fine,” he says. “I’m ready to get on this road and do these shows and take care of what I gotta take care of.” Brown said he was concerned that the heart attack rumors would have a negative affect on his children. He said: “It bothers me a lot because my kids are hearing it and they’re calling me crying and stuff, so I just had to let everybody know that I am okay, and it’s good that I have someone who I can tell that I’m okay, and you can pass the word on to everybody else.”

Brown says he hadn’t even heard about TMZ.com’s report of him filming a death bed video message for his family. “Just in case I didn’t make it huh? That’s something new to me,” Brown laughed. “I gotta find out about that one.” Meanwhile, Brown says he will be part of a New Jack Swing tour featuring Aaron Hall, Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, Tony! Toni! Tone!, K-Ci and Jo-Jo and others. “It’s a nice little tour that we’re gonna do to give respect to our sound,” said Brown. “I’m just looking forward to getting out on that stage and giving my all, and doing what I do best, which is perform.”

YAY, FOR WHOOPI! » I can’t say that I watch “The View” on a regular basis. I only catch snippets on youtube when something crazy goes down. It’s something about middle-aged women fighting and arguing that just gets my gears a-moving! Anyhow, Whoopi Goldberg officially got the spot on The View everybody and their mama has been trying to get for months! Good for her. They need a cool and non-chalant voice like hers to calm the tone down a bit. She’s supposed to start the show in September, the day after Labor Day to be exact.

He apparently beefed up his security two weeks ago in Australia, where he’s been on tour – the reason behind said “tour” is pending investigation. Brown said in Melbourne: “I figure if Bin Laden wants me, and everybody is looking for him, it probably won’t happen. But if he wants to try and find me for something so stupid, he can do what he wants. I have to leave it in the hands of my higher power. Come on, if anybody [else was] threatened by Al Qaeda, they’d take it seriously.” All 8 of the people who showed up for the “concert” didn’t take it seriously and showed up, but they didn’t take Brown seriously, either. The singer took off his shirt at one point “unveiling his sweaty, abdominally challenged torso [and mysteriously wet crotch]“ and the audience screamed with laughter, but were dead silent when he tried to get them to do a “call and response,” wrote one reviewer in the Herald Sun. Brown’s been worried about Bin Laden ever since writer Kola Boof and an alleged Bin Laden mistress said the terrorist wanted Brown killed so that he could make Whitney Houston one of his wives. But Brown and Houston divorced last year. Funny shit!

YO R. KELLY, REALITY’S A BITCH AIN’T IT! » It’s been so long since that child pornography case has been opened, I forgot home boy was a child molester for a minute. Okay, not really .. but you can’t deny that it’s been a while! Oh yeah, if you didn’t know already, IFC IS SPONSORING HIS “TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET” SERIES FOR TEN MORE EPISODES! But back to the subject at hand. After years and years of being put off because of this, and because of that, R. Kelly’s child pornography case is finally going to trial. Kelly was charged with 21 counts of child pornography and having sex with an underage girl in 2002 after a tape surfaced showing a man who appeared to be Kelly making time with a 14-year-old girl. The seven counts of having sex with a minor were later dropped because the video failed to show actual sexual intercourse. Kelly, who claims he is not the man in the video, faces a 15-year jail sentence plus a fine to the tune of $100,000 if he’s found guilty.

At a hearing held yesterday in Chicago, Judge Vincent Gaughan announced that Kelly’s trial will begin September 17 – a decision the singer’s reps are spinning as great news. “As Robert [Kelly] said many times, he believes in our system of justice,” a spokesperson for the star said. “He’s confident that when all the facts come out, it will be clear he’s not guilty of any crime.
