As you already know, the Obama family is on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine. People.com posted a few photos and a few snippets from the exclusive interview, and after reading through everything, I learned a few new things about this powerful black family. And I thought to myself, instead of highlighting much of the negative aspects of the black community, this is what CNN should have been showing last night on their “Black in America” special, but I’ll save my thoughts on that for another post. For now, read up on the Obama family below, and after the cut!

PEOPLE: Someone told me today that you don’t do birthday presents.
Michelle: No, because we spend hundreds of dollars on a birthday party and movie tickets and pizza and popcorn …
Barack: That sleepover is enough. We want to teach some limits to them. And their friends bring over presents.
Michelle: They get so much stuff that it just becomes numbing. Malia believes there is still a Santa Claus even though she’s a little wary because some of her friends are non-believers. But Malia says, “Ma, I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.” [Laughing]

Diddy has uploaded another vlog on his YouTube Channel this time he’s speaking on Barack Obama’s democratic nomination in the ‘08 Presidential Election. I myself is so proud of this moment. For me, it’s not even about his ethnicity it’s about him as a person. He never veered away from scandals and rumors that was pinned on him during this process of becoming a nominee. Intelligent is not even the best word to describe this man. I cannot wait for this change. Obama for President!

Leading up to the North Carolina and Indiana primaries, three obvious scenarios were discussed by analysts: Obama would win both states, Clinton would take both states, or they would each win one. The latter was thought to be most likely. Well they did each win one state by CNN estimates, but somehow it wasn’t quite that…at least if you were following the results as they came in.

In North Carolina, the polls closed at 7pm, some of the exit poll data was being parsed by analysts, and anchors and reporters were afoot about possible outcomes. Normal fare. Then some 30 minutes after the polls closed with little precinct data: Obama was declared the winner by the networks; the results later giving him a win by 14%. Neat and all wrapped up like a nice chicken burrito.

Indiana was quite a different night. CONTINUE READING

Hilary Clinton & Barack Obama both covers the current issue of Time Magazine. The issue is imitating the, There Can Only Be One: NBA Playoffs Campaign and how tense it is in this current election. I love the concept. This is the May 2008 issue. I can’t wait to pick this up. I wonder what’s the content inside this issue, it has to be interesting.
