Calling Barack Obama the democratic presidential nominee is politically correct. But eff that. I’m calling this dude the next president of these here United States of America. Barry shut it down last night in front of a crowd of close to 90,000 people when he formally accepted the Democratic party’s nomination of him as our representative. I’m still in shock that a black man is going to be the next president of the United States. How about you? Part 2 of the history-making speech can be found after the cut!

Our next First Lady, Michelle Obama, made an amazing speech last night at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO. The purpose of the DNC is for Barack Obama to formally accept his nomination as the party’s official presidential candidate. But we all have to do our part to get this family into the White House! So if you haven’t registered to vote yet, get off your lazy behind and go register! And once you do that, you have to actually get up (once again, it’s not that bad, I promise) and go out and VOTE on November 4th.

As you already know, the Obama family is on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine. People.com posted a few photos and a few snippets from the exclusive interview, and after reading through everything, I learned a few new things about this powerful black family. And I thought to myself, instead of highlighting much of the negative aspects of the black community, this is what CNN should have been showing last night on their “Black in America” special, but I’ll save my thoughts on that for another post. For now, read up on the Obama family below, and after the cut!
PEOPLE: Someone told me today that you don’t do birthday presents.
Michelle: No, because we spend hundreds of dollars on a birthday party and movie tickets and pizza and popcorn …
Barack: That sleepover is enough. We want to teach some limits to them. And their friends bring over presents.
Michelle: They get so much stuff that it just becomes numbing. Malia believes there is still a Santa Claus even though she’s a little wary because some of her friends are non-believers. But Malia says, “Ma, I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.” [Laughing]

The Obama Family (from L to R: Sasha, 7, Barack, Michelle, and Malia, 10) is featured on the cover of the latest issue of People Magazine, set to hit stands August 4th. The mag claims to have exclusive photos and will apparently dive into the personal lives of the family. I love these guys, and I can’t wait until they’re in the white house!

Barack Obama, Jay Z, Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Muhammed Ali, Prince, Marvin Gaye, and Billy Dee Williams all cover the special edition 8 cover issue of Ebony Magazine. In the issue Ebony Magazine lists their picks for the 25 coolest black men of all time. The issue is set to hit news stands July 8th. More pics and a quote from Ebony after the jump.

(IMAGE: BOSSIP.COM) Democratic Nominee Barack Obama graces the cover of the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. In the issue Barack talks about the music he listens to and grew up on, as well as, the hip-hop artists he supports.
Barack on the music he grew up on:
If I had one musical hero, it would have to be Stevie Wonder,†says Obama, who grew up on Seventies R&B and rock staples including Earth, Wind and Fire, Elton John and the Rolling Stones.
Diddy has uploaded another vlog on his YouTube Channel this time he’s speaking on Barack Obama’s democratic nomination in the ‘08 Presidential Election. I myself is so proud of this moment. For me, it’s not even about his ethnicity it’s about him as a person. He never veered away from scandals and rumors that was pinned on him during this process of becoming a nominee. Intelligent is not even the best word to describe this man. I cannot wait for this change. Obama for President!
