R&B singer Ashanti has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of America to launch their new advocacy campaign, titled “Be Great.” The Grammy award winning musician and Boys & Girls Club alum unveiled a new billboard in Times Square Tuesday (Aug 11), featuring her childhood picture and an inspiring two word message: “Be Amazing.”
“Growing up in the Club gave me the opportunity to explore many interests and talents, including dancing and singing, that have profoundly influenced my life,” said Ashanti. More »

With the help of Century 21, a family from Dalton, GA scored a trip to New York’s Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal to meet singer Ashanti, who is the spokesman for Century 21′s “Path to Your Dreams Sweepstakes.”
Kimberly Green, an emergency room nurse, entered the contest in hopes that her family would win the $221,000 grand prize, which will go towards the purchase and closing costs of a brand new home. More »
