Well known philanthropist and television personality Oprah Winfrey helped her friend Cicely Tyson open her brand new school, “The Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing & Fine Arts,” Saturday evening (Oct 24) in East Orange, NJ.

Actor LL Cool J attended the Monte Carlo Television Festival cocktail party, held at the Beverly Hills Hotel Saturday evening (Oct 24) in Beverly Hills, California.

And newlywed Khloe Kardashian showed off her rock at the “Closet Sundays” One Year Anniversary Celebration Sunday night (Oct 25) at the Beatles Revolution Lounge at the Mirage Resort Hotel Casino Sunday in Las Vegas.

It looks like the Black Eyed Peas didn’t get the memo that we’re still in a recession! The group has just released their third music video for their next single “Meet Me Halfway,” taken from their #1 album The E.N.D. and it looks like they dropped some major dough with all of the special effects and what-not.

Black Eyed Peas // Launch party for Apl.de.ap's "Jeepney Music" Record Label

The Black Eyed Peas attended the launch party for Jeepney Music, a new record label launched by BEP member Apl.de.ap, at the Ecco Lounge in West Hollywood.

“The Los Angeles-based record label is founded on the principle of giving back, to both Apl.de.Ap’s homeland of the Philippines and the global community,” the singer’s representatives said in a news release. “Jeepney Music will feature not only emerging recording artists, but will also highlight the growing number of disc jockeys and collaborative artists as he continues to build his label on the forefront of the digital transformation of music.”

All unsigned artists in the Los Angeles area were given the opportunity to drop off their music demos at the event between the hours of 10 PM and 12 AM.

Rapper Kid Cudi and actress Tamala Jones were also spotted at the event.
