In the months following the death of Amy Winehouse, the troubled (but also talented) singer’s official cause of death has been revealed by the coroner.

Upon her death, many speculated on what caused it, citing her drug/alcohol abuse as a likely cause. Well, as it turns out, Amy did, in fact, drink herself to death.

Describing the situation as “death by misadventure,” Coroner Suzanne Greenaway noted that Winehouse voluntarily drank excessive amounts of liquor in the hours leading up to her death on July 23rd.

According to the coroner’s report (via TMZ), Winehouse had more than 4 times the legal driving limit in her system at the time of her death.

Amy’s family has released a statement regarding the situation:

“It is some relief to finally find out what happened to Amy. We understand there was alcohol in her system when she passed away, it is likely a build up of alcohol in her system over a number of days.

“The court heard that Amy was battling hard to conquer her problems with alcohol and it is a source of great pain to us that she could not win in time. She had started drinking again that week after a period of abstinence. It underlines how important our work with the Amy Winehouse Foundation is to us, to help as many young people and children as we can in her name.

“It means a lot to us and from the overwhelming messages of support we have had since Amy died, we know she meant a great deal to people all over the world. We want to thank everyone for that and for their continuing enthusiasm for the Foundation.”

Amy Winehouse was only 27 years old at the time of her death.

It’s been nearly 2 months since the shocking death of Amy Winehouse, and finally, here is the music video for “Body and Soul,” the last video and song recorded by the late British soul singer, who would have celebrated her 28th birthday today.

In the video, a healthy and vibrant looking Winehouse can be seen interacting and singing along with music legend Tony Bennett, who is releasing a duets album (due in stores Tuesday) with songs featuring Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Carrie Underwood, John Mayer, Faith Hill and others. Bennett’s duet with Winehouse will also appear on “Duets II.”

Proceeds from sales of “Body & Soul” on iTunes will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which also launched today.

Did Amy Winehouse die from trying to save her life?

Her father Mitch Winehouse says the troubled singer may have suffered an overdose from a powerful anti-anxiety drug and suffered a seizure during detox.

“Everything Amy did, she did to excess,” Winehouse said at a taping of Anderson Cooper’s show Anderson, which debuted Monday. “She drank to excess and did detox to excess.”

The final cause of death will be determined after an official inquest.

Mitch Winehouse said previously that no illegal drugs were found in his daughter’s system after she died at age 27 in July.

But newly released preliminary toxicology results show that Amy Winehouse had ZERO illegal substances in her body when she died, proving them all W-R-O-N-G.

Reps for the Winehouse family released the following statement today:

“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.

The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”

In related news, it’s being reported that Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, recently returned donations made to a foundation in Amy’s honor after he said someone “stole” the charity’s domain name AmyWinehouseFoundation.com.

Over the weekend, Mitch explained via Twitter that because someone secured the foundation’s domain name before he could get to it, he is unable to set up a bank account under the name: “Amy Winehouse Foundation.”

“We all have to bombard the tabloids websites [sic] to put pressure on this d*ck head who stole our foundation name,” he said.

While little is known about the foundation, Mitch insists that he and the organization’s leaders “want to make a positive difference” with causes Amy cared about.

The charity had planned to disclose its official mission statement on September 14th, which would have been Winehouse’s 28th birthday, but due to the current set-backs, it’s not known whether or not that will be still be able to happen.

“Somebody else pinched [the domain] off of us before we could get it registered,” he said. “All these donations which are coming in — we don’t know what to do with them at the moment.”

Various reports hint that her posthumous charity foundation’s headquarters will be the singer’s North London home, where she was found dead on July 23rd of still undetermined causes.

Amy will be honored at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, set to air next Sunday (Aug 28).

“She was struggling with a lot of things in her life, but she was a real artist. She was like a little sister to me. We had the same birthday so she just had this big, big spirit for this little body. I wish she was here today. God bless her soul,” he told show host, Rocsi.

The Illmatic rapper also gave a small hint as to what his work with Dr. Dre on his Detox album sounds like. Without giving away much of anything at all, he said it’s “a nice record.” (And we can’t wait to hear it!)

British tabloid paper The Mirror ran the story and “confirmed” their claims by securing an interview with 10-year-old Dannika Augustine, booked airline tickets and alleged hired lawyers.

The little girl had allegedly told the paper, “Amy way already my mother. I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She took care of me and we had fun together. I loved her and she loved me. She was the most amazing person and I was looking forward to living with her here or in London. I cannot believe she is gone. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me.”

However, Winehouse’s rep has since spoken out and said, “There’s no truth to it.”

But where did this story come from in the first place?

Amy had obviously taken a shine to the young Dannika Augustine, having been photographed with her several times during her lengthy stay in St. Lucia.

But by the Mirror’s own admission, the girl has ample family on the island, a grandmother, who also got roped into seemingly corroborating the story and through whom the odd couple met (Marjorie Lambert runs a beach bar on the island which Amy frequented), and Dannika’s single mother.

They all come from poverty, which at least seemingly goes a little way toward explaining how the tabloid may have come across the supposedly exclusive story (dollar signs can be a powerful motivator, after all).

Meanwhile, Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch continued to show how big his heart is as he and Amy’s mother Janice and her brother Alex were clearing out his daughter’s possessions over the weekend.

Grieving fans of singer Amy Winehouse who passed away on Saturday were rewarded for their loyalty to the star. The fans, many of whom held a vigil outside Amy’s $4 million flat for 6 days straight, watched yesterday as her parents, Mitch and Janis and her brother Alex, entered Amy’s flat to begin clearing out her possessions.

But instead of putting everything up on eBay, the fans were stunned when Amy’s dad emerged from the flat with an armful of clothes – and began giving the items away. “These are Amy’s T-shirts. This is what she would have wanted – for her fans to have her clothes,” said Mitch as he distributed the clothing to Amy’s surprised fans.

Even in death Amy was able to touch her fans in the most intimate way, via her father, through the precious joy of giving.

According to reports, deceased singer Amy Winehouse may have unreleased recorded material for a posthumous album.

Her spokesman Chris Goodman said in a press release Thursday that she had left “plenty” of material behind for a full album, however nothing has been discussed officially just yet and it’s unclear how finished the tracks are.

Winehouse only released two albums in her career, but had been in the studio randomly over the past few years. She said a new album would appear by the end of last year or the top of this year, but it was never finished.

An unknown close spokesman close to record label Universal hinted on Thursday that Amy had left close to a dozen songs. When the Associated Press reached out to Universal for a statement they did not return their requests for comment.

Salaam Remi, producer on both Winehouse’s albums “Frank” and “Back to Black,” spoke to New York’s Power 105.1 DJ Kim Kane.

“We had a lot of things going, there are recordings, but first things first, I think,” he said. “We’re trying to focus on what’s at hand and what her family wants to do.”

Due to Winehouse’s untimely death … her estate has yet to approve the release of any material she has left behind.

Reasons for Amy Winehouse’s death are still unknown and police say it could take up to four weeks to get to the bottom of it.

However, Amy’s family members believe that her quitting alcohol cold turkey could have been what caused her sudden death. Her father Mitch said:

“Three years ago, Amy conquered her drug dependency, the doctors said it was impossible but she really did it. She was trying hard to deal with her drinking and had just completed three weeks of abstinence. She said, “Dad, I’ve had enough of drinking. I can’t stand the look on your and the family’s faces any more.”

Speaking with the daily Star Dr. Julian Spinks, who gave the singer a clean bill of health the day before her untimely death, said, “If you go from very high alcohol consumption to nothing you can get the DTs and fits that can leave you unconscious, in danger of stopping breathing and dying because of that.”

On July 28th, Amy’s father and her mother Janis returned to her North London home with their son Alex to look at tributes left outside. They are currently observing the Jewish tradition of Shiva, which is a period of mourning and is part of the customs of bereavement in Judaism.

But what she was really doing, say sources, was surprisingly low-key: She laid low at her London home, spent time with her mother, and had a routine doctor’s visit.

In fact, while the toxicology results may not be available for weeks, those who knew her say she was much more than a party girl.

“She spent most days at home writing,” says one friend.

In a moving eulogy, Winehouse’s father Mitch read “Goodnight my angel. Sleep tight. Mommy and Daddy love you ever so much.”

Her father’s eulogy was “funny.” He was “telling stories about her childhood, people were laughing like a celebration – like they all remembered the stories themselves.

The hour-long memorial service, meant to celebrate the Grammy winner’s life, was partially in Hebrew because of her Jewish heritage. “It was emotional, it was happy and it was sad,” her rep said. “It was everything really.” One mourner told People, “It was very moving yet quite very humorous at times. It was a wonderful tribute to Amy.”

When the memorial closed at 1:15 p.m., Carole King’s “So Far Away,” one of Winehouse’s favorite songs that she had once performed as a duet with her father, was played. “Mitch encouraged everyone to sing to it and they did,” the rep told People. “People sang.”

Mourners then headed to the Golders Green crematorium, where the family is following custom by having Winehouse cremated. “I think because her grandmother was cremated at the same place, so it was a family tradition to be cremated,” the rep told People.

Shiva, a Jewish grief custom, starts at 5 p.m. Tuesday, and guests were seen holding postcard-sized invitations with a black-and-white picture of Winehouse on them.

Among the crowd were good friends Mark Ronson (producer of her 2006 hit album Back to Black) and Kelly Osborne.

Due to the star’s difficult past involving drugs and alcohol, reports surfaced all over the world that she had died of an overdose. However, it has emerged that the “Rehab” singer’s cause of death is unknown after an autopsy was conducted on Monday.

According to the Metropolitan Police, no cause of death for Amy Winehouse has been established yet, and further toxicology tests will be needed to determine how she died. The results aren’t expected to come back for another 2 – 4 weeks.

Speaking with MTV News on Monday Winehouse’s rep Chris Goodman gave details of the singer’s sudden passing. He said, “She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep, and when he went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing. He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed.”

A private funeral service for Amy Winehouse was held today in London.

It’s being reported that Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment earlier today.

The “Back to Black” singer’s body was discovered at around 4 PM UK time (11 AM EST), and her death is currently unexplained.

Winehouse’s name wasn’t specifically mentioned in a statement from the Metropolitan Police, which read:

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.”

Winehouse’s sudden death comes just one month after the Grammy award winning singer canceled her European tour following a performance in Serbia where she seemed to be completely “out of it.”

Amy Winehouse is in rehab again…..

The troubled singer checked back into rehab yesterday at the Priory Clinic in the UK for “alcohol addiction.”

According to Amy’s people, “She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decide to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice.”

A source has revealed that the move to rehab was initiated by Amy’s father who talked her into receiving treatment.

On the way to rehab, Winehouse stopped by a local corner store picked up one last bottle of vodka. (Guess that’s her way of saying good-bye)

We’re glad she’s getting help….but it will be a total shocker if actually works this time.

Winehouse is making music again…..this time with music legend Quincy Jones for his Q: Soul Bossa Nostra album and is said to have recorded a cover of Lesley Gore‘s 1963 hit “It’s My Party” for the forthcoming project.

The 77-year-old music mogul confirmed the news to AP yesterday (Thurs. Sep 9) noting that the track (produced by Winehouse’s good friend Mark Ronson) is the first in years for the 5-time Grammy winner.

Q: Soul Bossa Nostra, due for release in November, is a celebration of Quincy Jones’ past hits and will also feature guest appearances from artists like Usher, Ludacris, Akon, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, LL Cool J, T-Pain and more.

It looks like singer Amy Winehouse is putting down the crack pipe for a while (hopefully FOREVER) to finally put out some new music! The British entertainer, who hasn’t released any new material since her Grammy award winning album Back to Black in 2006, recently confirmed that her long-awaited new album will be released at the top of next year (January 2011).

She tells Britain’s Metro newspaper:

“The album will be six months at the most. It’s going to be very much the same as my second album, where there’s a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are… just jukebox, really.”

Amy Winehouse‘s ex husband (and now boyfriend) Blake Fielder-Civil is tired of hearing about Amy throwing herself at random guys when she’s drunk and not with him. After Blake heard about her throwing her legs around some guy and kissing him all over his face at a recent barbecue, he got really angry and is now demanding that she moves to Sheffield to be with him while he finishes treatment in rehab.

A source told London’s Daily Star: “Blake flew into a rage when he heard about Amy’s antics at a recent barbecue. He knows Amy’s a fun-loving girl but he’s furious over her antics with a stranger at a party.” The diva, 26, reportedly wrapped her legs around a sexy male, kissing him all over his face, before disappearing upstairs for half an hour.

Despite declaring her love for ex- hubby Blake and insisting they are soulmates who will remarry, Amy is said to have announced: “Don’t worry about Blake. He wouldn’t care anyway.” But Blake, 31, now wants to keep an eye on her 24/7. Our source said: “He is demanding she moves to Sheffield while he finishes his stint in rehab. He wants her to move north so he can keep tabs on her.”

And he thinks moving her to Sheffield will stop her from humping random guys? As if Sheffield doesn’t have booze and humpable men. Get real, Blake, you must not really know your ex wife/girlfriend!

Estranged soul singer Amy Winehouse has found herself once again in the hospital, and this it’s her breast implants causing her problems and not her very public drug addiction. The 26-year-old singer had been experiencing some chest pains and discomfort due to a breast enhancement surgery she had last fall. But a source tells People everything’s okay.

She had them checked out and all was OK, so she didn’t have to stay in,” a friend tells PEOPLE. Winehouse was last hospitalized in November following a reaction involving over-the-counter medication that mixed with other medication in her system. She has been working on and off on her third album and helping with the career of her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield, with whom she was out last week.

Saturday’s hospital visit happened as soon as the singer was settling back into life in Camden, London. Winehouse is out of the hospital but still does not want to part with her 32 D implants.  Amy had the enhancement in October of 2009 and since then has had one complication in November that she was treated for.

British singer Amy Winehouse is planning to remarry her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. According to recent reports, he has been insisting they give it another shot at love and try to do things right by re-exchanging vows at the alter.

The finalized their divorce last August after Blake told a judge he wanted out of the marriage the month before because of Winehouse’s adultery, following a two year hiatus, which is when the  pair started doing drugs. The couple since then have been photographed publicly embracing each other bringing speculation that they might be together again. Blake tells Britain’s Heat magazine:

“Amy’s wearing the Tiffany ring I bought for her three years ago again. We’ve been meeting up and talking about the old times. We talk about going away somewhere and getting married… We’ve decided we’ll take things slowly. We want to get things right this time. I need to find a career and be able to support myself. It wouldn’t make sense for me to move in with Amy. We were addicts together and were very co-dependent. It would be irresponsible for us to move in together straight away. I have spoken to (Winehouse’s dad) Mitch and he was OK with me. He knows we have to get on for Amy’s sake. My mum and brothers are really supportive, too.

“We’ll get married again one day. But I don’t think we’ll run away to get married on a beach. This time I’d like it to be a proper wedding with both our families there. Both me and Amy know we will be together some time in the future… We both realise she has to concentrate on work now. And I have to concentrate on getting my own life together.”

He is reportedly recording a new version of Michael Jackson‘s “We Are the World” to benefit the troubled country of Haiti. Richie and Quincy Jones are also doing this in honor of the song’s 25th anniversary and plan to incorporate the popular 1985 Africa tribute song’s original co-author Michael Jackson into it.

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was met by a mob of press and photographers as she arrived at the Milton Keynes Magistrates Court Wednesday afternoon (Jan 20) in London for a court appearance on assault charges. Winehouse pleaded guilty to assaulting a 27-year-old theater manager named Richard Pound in an incident that occured in December 2009.

The incident occurred in December during a Christmas pantomime performance of “Cinderella” at the Milton Keynes Theatre, which is located north of London in central England.

According to prosecutors, Winehouse, who admitted to having had five vodka and Cokes before the attack, pulled Pound’s hair and called him a f—–g c–t after he refused to give her more alcohol and suggested that she have a glass of water instead. Prior to the attack, Winehouse had already caused something of a stir during the performance (which, incidentally, featured legendary American actor Mickey Rooney) when, during audience participation time, she got a bit carried away, prompting a member of the audience to tell her to be quiet.

Fortunately for Amy she didn’t receive any time behind bars, but she was slapped with a measly £100 fine, which is about $160 USD, and was given a “two-year conditional discharge.” But the judge made sure he made it clear to Amy that if she gets in any more trouble with in the next two years, she will be “hit hard… and hit twice.”

But we all know she’s not gonna listen and is gonna end up some big German woman’s cell mate.

The Holy union between British singer Amy Winehouse and her now ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is officially over. The two coke fiends were granted a divorce by a judge in London. A judge read out the decree aloud at a brief Family Court hearing Thursday (Jul 16), of which neither 25-year-old Winehouse nor 27-year-old Fielder-Civil attended.

The two had been married since 2007, but Blake was arrested six months later and charged with assault, which landed him some prison time. He filed for divorce earlier this year due to Winehouse stepping out on him.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, has frequently accused music video production assistant Fielder-Civil for introducing his daughter to hard drugs, and the couple’s up-and-down relationship made for plenty of tabloid headlines. Winehouse mined her misery over Fielder-Civil’s early abandonment of their relationship for material on her multi-Grammy-winning breakthrough Back to Black, crying in her beer on songs including the album’s title track. In interviews, Winehouse frequently spoke of her breathless love for her often disheveled Blake, and the couple appeared inseparable during the international promotional blitz for Black that made Winehouse a household name.

In addition to the reported drug use, Winehouse was famously caught on video carving the words “I Love Blake” into her stomach with a shard of glass, and during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she displayed photos of the couple passing pills to each other with their tongues.

But the Sid-and-Nancy-style love affair was also accompanied by photos of heated arguments that ended with both sporting bruises and scratches, as well as an arrest in Norway in October 2007 for marijuana possession; the couple were released with a fine. Just months after the wedding, Fielder-Civil was arrested on charges of suspicion of attacking a bar landlord and attempting to bribe him to drop the allegation. Following his incarceration, Winehouse was frequently seen wandering the streets of her Camden neighborhood in a daze, and she subsequently canceled a U.S. tour.

Fielder-Civil was released from prison in February and shortly after filed for divorce on claims of Winehouse’s infidelity; she acknowledged adultery and said she would not contest the divorce. The AP reported that the divorce papers filed with the court stated that he found living with Winehouse “intolerable.”
Winehouse recently returned to England after several months of living on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, where she was reported to be working on the long-awaited follow-up to Back to Black.

Reports say the collection will be based around Winehouse’s “signature retro style” and we hear PPQ designer Amy Molyneaux is excited to have Amy Winehouse on board! And not just because they have the same first name either.

“Yes there have been talks with Amy and we are now in the first stages of the project. The range will be all about high-end statement pieces, inspired by Amy’s style. For example, maybe a dress or an amazing piece of jewellery like a bracelet. It’s going to be distributed online, we are going to be providing all materials and doing the design, but Amy will definitely be involved in the creative process.”

After a failed attempt with Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse is now considering a possible collaboration with singer/songwriter Justin Timberlake for her upcoming St. Lucia album. A friend of the troubled singer tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper:

“Amy gets thousands of offers a week from other artists. Justin Timberlake is one she is considering. But Amy will only do it if the other person’s music fits the mood she is in at the time.”

We’ve heard from various sources that our favorite in-your-face cokehead Amy Winehouse has gotten inspired by her celebrity colleagues Madonna and Angelina Jolie and wants to adopt a baby of her own from St. Lucia in the Caribbean Islands, a known vacation spot for the troubled singer. This rumor comes directly after reports of her equally troubled husband Blake Fielder-Civil having a baby with another woman. And Amy’s always wanted kids of her own.

“Amy’s gutted about Blake becoming a dad and moving on so quickly. She has always wanted to be a mother,” a source tells the Daily Mail.

Reps for the singer said, “Amy was taking about adopting in the context of looking after children on the island, perhaps through some kind of music and education-based project.”

New reports are suggesting that singer Amy Winehouse and rapper Snoop Dogg sketched out a couple of tracks together back in 2008! But we hear they couldn’t finish them because they took way too many breaks to smoke weed and were way too high to finish what they got started…

A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with slippers on, which had Amy giggling. They were working at a frenetic pace at first but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened. By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out but no finished product.”

Since Amy is in all this legal trouble (Google her, baby!), getting her hands on a visa to come back to the states to finish up the tracks will be damn near impossible. And isn’t Snoop banned from the UK or something like that?

BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL IS HEADED BACK TO PRISON » after allegedly testing positive for drugs. The man, most known for being married to singer Amy Winehouse, was just released from rehab last month, according to People. He went there after being released from prison early, but since he’s being recalled back to jail, he must serve the remainder of his 27-month sentence, meaning that he won’t get out of jail until 2010.

The U.K.’s Sun newspaper also reports that Fielder-Civil ran away from the rehab facility Tuesday night to visit his estranged wife. Winehouse, 25, remains hospitalized in London as part of her ongoing treatment, her rep told PEOPLE earlier this week. Fielder-Civil “turned up in hospital and hell broke loose,” according to The Sun’s source. “He was asking Amy to forgive him.”

Winehouse and Fielder-Civil wed in Miami in 2007. The “Rehab” singer dedicated this year’s Grammy wins to “my Blake, my Blake incarcerated.” But the singer had not visited her husband since his November release. Just last weekend, Fielder-Civil hinted to the News of the World that he was ready to end their union. “I have to let her go to save her life.”

SISTERS BEYONCE AND SOLANGE KNOWLES ARE SHARING A STAGE TOGETHER » with the help of cable television station, FUSE. The intimate concert will be performed in Houston, TX and the television special will bear the name “Beyonce and Solange: Hope for the Holidays.”

The effort aids Texas victims of Hurricane Ike through the Survivor Foundation, a Knowles family charity helping people in need. The event will take place in Houston at the House of Blues on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Fuse will air the concert as a one-hour special on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 10 p.m.

“It is an honor for our family to be able to give back to our hometown with a holiday concert that will air on Fuse,” said father and manager Mathew Knowles. “Tina grew up in Galveston and still has family and friends there and we’re fortunate to bring Beyoncé and Solange together to support the efforts of The Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund through the Survivor Foundation.”

There was a lot of controversy behind Jay-Z being a headlining act, since he’s a rapper, but apparently all of that got settled and I hear Jay-Z killed at the show!

American rapper Jay-Z answered his critics, notably Oasis’s Noel Gallagher, with a performance at Britain’s famous Glastonbury music festival that was received to rapturous cheers Saturday.

Striding on stage with a guitar slung over his shoulder, he led the crowd in a rendition of Oasis’s “Wonderwall”, smiling throughout, and with wife Beyonce Knowles in attendance, his set included songs such as “99 Problems”. [ READ MORE » ]

British singer Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with impetigo, her spokesman confirmed to PEOPLE yesterday. It’s a bacterial skin infection that causes pimple-like lumps – and is “is highly contagious, and scratching or touching the sores is likely to spread the infection to other parts of the body as well as to other people,” according to the Mayo Clinic’s Web site. She’s currently taking antibiotics to help combat the disease.

Kanye West (photographed above) performs “Stronger” at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, held at the Staples Center last night in LA. Towards the end of the performance, recording artists Daft Punk made a special cameo appearance. The show featured a lot of performances, and even though we posted the majority of them throughout the night as they came in, a few slipped through the cracks. AFTER BEING DENIED, AMY WINEHOUSE GETS U.S. VISA ANYWAY » The U.S. government has reversed its decision from earlier in the week and will be granting Amy Winehouse a visa for Sunday’s Grammy Awards. But the decision came a little too late, so she’s going to stick to her plan to perform live via satellite from London.

“Unfortunately, due to the logistics involved and timing complications, Amy will not be coming to the U.S. this weekend to perform at the Grammys in Los Angeles, however she will still be performing via satellite broadcast from London as previously announced this morning. Amy would like to thank all of those people, and in particular the staff involved at the U.S. Embassy in London, who have all worked so hard to expedite her application. She is very sad not to be attending the prestigious awards in person, but wishes to express her heartfelt gratitude to all of those involved in the process,” reps for the nominee said in a statement.

SONJA NORWOOD EXPLAINS WHY SHE’S SUING THE KARDASHIANS » “I did not want to commence litigation against the Kardashian family without conducting an exhaustive investigation into the charges and discussing all options, including criminal prosecution, with my family,” Sonja Norwood said in a statement released Tuesday. Her first choice first choice was to avoid suing the Kardashians for alleged credit card abuse, but, she says, they gave her no other choice. In the lawsuit, which names Kim Kardashian as well as her siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., Ms. Norwood claims that she only had given authorization for one purchase on the Norwood’s American Express credit card. At the time, Kim was a stylist for Brandy, and Brandy’s brother. But you may remember her from the infamous sex taped she and Sonja Norwood’s son, Ray J, have together.

“After Ray J and Brandy urged me not to file criminal charges because of their prior friendship, I decided to afford the Kardashians an opportunity to resolve this matter without a lawsuit,” Norwood said. “When the fraudulent charges were brought to their attention, they apologized profusely, and advised us, through their attorneys, that they would pay the debt in full. However, they have since reneged on that promise. [My] investigation has revealed that the Kardashians used their two stores and other stores that I have never visited to take advantage of me. I very much look forward to having the Kardashians account for their misconduct in a court of law.”

BRITNEY SPEARS RELEASED FROM PSYCHIATRIC WARD A WEEK EARLY » Reports originally said that Britney Spears wouldn’t be released until the middle of the month, but in a surprise move, the troubled singer was sprung from the UCLA Medical Center mental ward Wednesday of this week and immediately began driving her new black Mercedes-Benz around Los Angeles, acting like nothing had happened. The 26-year-old Spears was reportedly escorted out of the hospital by a small private security detail. The surprise release comes just one day after Spears alleged her manager, Sam Lufti, drugged her and “threatened to use violence” against her in a court document. Judge Reva Goetz granted Britney a temporary restraining order against Lufti in the latest development in the court case over power of attorney over Spears and her estate.

To combat her obvious drug addiction, Amy Winehouse has finally decided to make the decision to check herself into a drug rehabilitation center. The announcement came just days after the 24-year-old singer was pictured in British tabloid The Sun inhaling fumes from a small pipe. Police have launched an inquiry into the matter.

“Amy decided to enter the facility today [Thursday, January 24th 2008] after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors,” Universal Music Group said in a statement. “She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction,” the statement said.

Winehouse plans on going through the whole rehab process, and has every intention of performing at the 50th annual Grammys this February. As much as I joke and poke fun of Amy, drug problems are pretty serious, and we’ve all seen what they lead to … death. No one deserves to die like that. So on behalf of T2W, I’d like to offer my support to Amy in hopes that she realizes that her life and career are very important, and doing drugs isn’t the answer to solve whatever she’s going through right now. Get well soon, Amy!

Amy Winehouse, or Amy CRACKhouse as we like to call her, has a brand new video. No, it’s not a music video. And it’s not even a sex tape (I wouldn’t put you guys through that kind of horror!). It’s a video of her doing what she does best. Being a cokehead. Now, we all have known for a long time that Amy was a crackhead, but it’s sort of like walking in on your parents having sex. You know they have sex (how else would you be here). But actually seeing it with your own two eyes is “shocking” in a way. Poor thing. She looks a holy hot ass mess. Somebody get this girl some help, ASAP! This is what her friend, who recorded this video and released it to the media, had to say:

Amy is locked in a nosedive towards oblivion — she is killing herself. The video shows a woman completely out of control. Her family and her few real friends have begged her to pull herself from the brink many times. But here is proof she has pressed the self-destruct button. Her fans would scarcely recognise the drug-addled wreck in the video as the talented performer they love. We can only pray she will get a wake-up call when she watches the video herself and sees the terrible state she is in.

Amy is looking ill and dirty, and is so thin you wonder how much more she can take. She MUST get help.

Entertainment gossip’s favorite celebrity (well, at least one of them) Amy Crackhouse was arrested Tuesday in London in connection with an alleged $400,000 plot to fix her husband’s assault trial. A statement from the singer’ s rep said:

Amy Winehouse attended a London police station today on a voluntary basis at a pre-agreed time. She was arrested, but hat is common practice for someone being interviewed by police. No charges have been brought.

She was formally booked on a charge of perverting justice and has since then been released.

So when is Amy Winehouse gonna sit down to re-evaluate her career as a musician? Because lately, she’s been having more problems on stage, than off stage! And that says a lot, considering all of the things that have been going down in her life. One of the most recent though is the arrest of her husband, which is apparently taking a total on the troubled singer.

For the first time since her husband’s arrest, Amy Winehouse performed Wednesday night in the U.K. in a controversial comeback that resulted in her storming off stage after being booed by the audience, the BBC reports. Sporting a shiny silver top and short black skirt – paired with her trademark beehive – the 24-year-old slurred her words and was a little unsteady on her feet during the performance at the Birmingham Indoor Arena, but she did make it through her hits “Back to Black,” “Tears Dry on Their Own” and “Rehab.” The troubled chanteuse dedicated her song “Wake Up Alone” to Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently in a London prison awaiting trial on charges of witness tampering. “This is for my husband,” Winehouse said from the stage.

As disgruntled fans headed for the exits, Winehouse reportedly announced: “To them people booing, wait ’til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that.” Her closing number, a cover of The Zutons’ “Valerie,” descended into chaos when she stopped singing, dropped the microphone and walked off stage. “When she did sing she sounded phenomenal,” one fan, Zoe Giorgio, told the BBC, “but she was not ready to be up on that stage.
