In case you didn’t already know … Kim Zolciak from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has her own reality show now called “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding,” which follows Zolciak as she prepares for her November 2011 wedding to NFL player Kroy Biermann.

On the episode that aired this week, Kim decided to surprise her then fiance (now husband) with a “sexy” (?) wedding gift … which turned out to be a topless photoshoot where the 34-year-old reality star stripped down to her waist, and had her entire upper-body painted to look like Biermann’s #71 Atlanta Falcons football jersey.

“To me that is sexy,” Kim said, explaining her reasoning for the body paint.

Jennifer Lopez was among the many performers who hit the stage during Wednesday night’s (May 23) “American Idol” Season 11 finale.

Dressed in a sparkly tank top and matching “drop-crotch” harem pants, Lopez started off her performance by debuting her new single “Goin In.”

She then ripped off her vest-like tank top, revealing a sequined studded bra and her perfectly toned stomach underneath, and was joined by Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel for a performance of their song “Follow the Leader.”

Chaka Khan — who is celebrating a recent 60-pound weight loss — hit the stage Wednesday night (May 23) during the live “American Idol” finale wearing a sparkly, figure-hugging catsuit just like Fantasia. But Chaka actually looked good in hers. (Sorry, Tasia!)

The 59-year-old music legend performed a medley of her hits, including “Ain’t Nobody” and “Through the Fire” and also joined in with other female “Idol” finalists for a big group performance of “I’m Every Woman.” (Watch below)

Fantasia Barrino shocked viewers — and not in a good way — when she hit the stage Wednesday night (May 23) to perform on “American Idol” during the show’s finale.

Dressed in a really tight black sequin catsuit — with a split down both sides of her legs that showed off her post-baby body (and not in a good way) — the R&B songstress sang a gospel-infused version of Elton John’s “Take Me to the Pilot” with former Idol finalist Joshua Ledet, who is often called the “male version of Fantasia” and considers the singer to be the biggest inspiration in his life. After much anticipation and a record-breaking 132 million votes cast from viewers, former pawn shop worker Phillip Phillips was crowned the Season 11 winner of “American Idol” during Wednesday night’s (May 23) finale, beating out 16-year-old home-schooled high school student Jessica Sanchez.

Phillips is the fifth male in a row to win Idol, as the show hasn’t crowned a female winner since Jordin Sparks in 2007.

“This doesn’t feel real,” he told reporters backstage after show. “It’s so unreal. It still hasn’t sunk in yet. It’s such a blessing. I have no idea why this happened. I just want to play music and I’m just a lucky guy.”

While the 21-year-old Georgia native is still recovering from his big win on “American Idol,” he’ll soon be recovering from surgery.

Thursday morning, Phillips called in to “Live! with Kelly” sand said that he only had “about two and a half hours of sleep” last night.

He was scheduled to appear on the show next week, but won’t be able to. “I’ve been sick this whole show. I’m trying to get all my work done, to recover,” the ‘American Idol’ winner explained.

Early on in the season, Phillip was hospitalized before the Top 13 results show after suffering from kidney pain. He later received a medical procedure to alleviate a blockage caused by kidney stones, and now that the show is over, he will undergo surgery soon.

“It’s been tough. I’ve had a lot of great people around me, great doctors. That helps out a lot,” he said.

When host Kelly Ripa asked him about his upcoming surgery, without revealing any details about what it was for, or when when exactly he’d be having it, Phillips said, “Yes, I’ll be having it here soon. I’m getting prepared for all that. I’m ready to feel better, feel like myself.”

Controversial radio shock jock Howard Stern was actually doing pretty good at his new gig as a judge on “America’s Got Talent” … until he made a little kid cry, that is.

When Mir Money (pronounced “Meer Money”) — a 7-year-old rapper from Philadelphia — hit the stage, he had the whole crowd cheering and moving to his song … but Howard Stern wasn’t impressed, as hit he hit his red ‘X’ button after only a few seconds.

About a minute later, Sharon Osbourne hit her ‘X’ button and the youngster stopped his performance.

“Are you angry?” asked Howie Mandel. “No,” Mir said as Nick Cannon came on stage to give him a drink of water.

Within seconds, the little boy was in tears as Howard Stern tried to console him and explain why he buzzed him.

“First of all, you’re a very nice man, you know that … No one likes hitting the ‘X’ on a 7-year-old. You’re very brave to get up there at 7 years old,” Stern said as Mir Money broke down into tears.

At that point, the entire crowd was booing and host Nick Cannon gave little Mir Money a hug, jokingly calling Stern a “mean man.”

After seeing how upset the kid was, Stern then approached the stage, saying, “I’ll fix everything.” When he got to Mir Money, he leaned over and gave him a hug. “I’m so sorry. … You’re a terrific young man. You are so brave,” Stern said. “This job is too rough for me. I don’t really want to do it anymore.”

He continued, “I don’t want to make you cry … I’ve met many of great rappers … none of them are quite as great as you,” and he quickly made up with the young man. “Are we cool?” he asked, and Mir nodded, “Yes.”

Questioning his decision to take the judging gig, Stern later told Nick Cannon, “I’m not cut out for this, man. I’m not cut out for it. I’m shaking man, I’m shaking. I can’t do it, man. I can’t do it.”

After several weeks of grueling rehearsals, show-stopping performances and nail-biting eliminations … NFL player Donald Driver and his professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd were crowned the winners of the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

When Donald heard his name called as the winner, the football star literally stopped, dropped and rolled. (Watch below)

Driver — who says that he’s been a longtime fan of the show and has watched every season — ran around the ballroom dance floor, screaming in excitement when he found out he and his partner had beat out Katherine Jenkins and her partner Mark Ballas for the coveted mirror ball trophy. “Amazing! This is awesome!” he said, excitedly punching his fist in the sky.

On Monday night, for their first dance, Donald and Peta did the Argentine tango, and head judge Len Goodman told Driver that she loved his intensity, while the other judges told him they thought the way he told a story through dance was moving.

Driver and Murgatroyd received a score of 29 and 30 for that round.

During the second round (the freestyle round), Don and Peta two-stepped to country music, a risky move in ballroom dancing … however, the judges loved it, and judge Carrie Ann Inaba jumped on top of the table and screamed, “This is my favorite dance of the season!”

For that round, Donald and Peta earned a perfect score (30/30).

On Tuesday night’s finale, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver and his partner did a crowd-pleasing cha-cha that gave them another perfect score of 30.

“We’ve had some great footballers on the show over the years,” Len Goodman said. “My feeling is you’re the best we’ve had.”

Peta Murgatroyd said of her partner Donald Driver before they were crowned winners, “He’s the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for … I was lucky.”

BET‘s popular comedy-drama TV series “The Game” is back!

After a seven year run on “Saturday Night Live,” comedic staple Kristen Wiig taped her final episode last Saturday night.

Though no official announcement was made prior to Saturday night’s taping, the episode’s emotional ending was all that was needed to confirm that Wiig had indeed made her last appearance on the show.

In her final sketch, guest host Mick Jagger played the principal of a high school graduation ceremony, and said that Kriaten, dressed in a cap and gown, was “one particular student who is leaving this summer.”

The cast (and even SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels) then came alongside her to perform the Rolling Stones‘ hits “She’s A Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday,” as Wiig appeared to be holding back tears.

Speaking to TIME in 2011 Lorne Michaels said of Wiig, “There are two people who arrived fully formed — her and Dana Carvey — where you saw what they did in their audition and you put it on the air. She has that thing that Phil Hartman and Dan Aykroyd had, which is absolute precision, but also this lightness that isn’t what they had.”

As well as transitioning to film and starring/co-writing movies “Bridesmaids,” “Knocked Up,” and “Friends with Kids,” Kristen Wiig is famous for her hilarious impersonations of Bjork, Kris Jenner, Taylor Swift, Kathy Lee Gifford and Nancy Pelosi; as well as her limitless range of characters, which included neurotic attention-seeker Penelope, Kat (of the musical duo Garth and Kat, with Fred Armisen), the Target Lady, Aunt Linda and Gilly.

Will Smith took fans back to “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” days when he performed the show’s iconic theme song during a recent appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” in the UK.

At the request of Norton and audience participation, Smith rapped the entire song to a per-programmed beat, sending everyone into nostalgia for a moment.

The “Men in Black 3″ star — who is currently on a worldwide promotional tour for the movie franchise and made headlines this week after he smacked a reporter who tried to kiss him — spoke about how much of an important role the classic sitcom played in his life.

“Listen, every country in the world, that is the thing that I am most known for. No matter how big the movies get, it’s just ‘Fresh Prince’ everywhere … As long as they’re shouting ‘Will!’ it’s cool,” he joked.

“It is so funny that that many people recognize that theme song,” Smith continued. “There’s something about TV that’s different than movies or music. R&B songstress Alicia Keys joined her idol Stevie Wonder on stage Sunday night (May 20) in Las Vegas at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards for a performance medley that included songs like “Higher Ground,” “Overjoyed” and “Superstitious.”

Right before the performance, Alicia presented Stevie with the Billboard Icon Award, saying, “He inspired me to reach for higher places on the piano and within myself … Thank you for bringing our world so much wonder, thank you for bringing us so much joy, thank you for bringing us so much soul.”

Following an introduction from Whoopi Goldberg, singers John Legend and Jordin Sparks paid tribute to the late R&B icon Whitney Houston at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

John Legend performed “The Greatest Love of All” at the piano, and Whitney’s “Sparkle” co-star Jordin Sparks sang a beautiful rendition of “I Will Always Love You.”

After the performances, Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina accepted the Billboard Millennium Award on behalf of her mother, who died in February 2012.

“I just really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all, not just from when it was good, but when it was bad, to just everything,” the 19-year-old said. “Thank you so much for showing that much love ’cause she deserved it. I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life. There will never be another one, ever.”

Tia Mowry was all smiles on VH1′s “Big Morning Buzz Live” earlier today.

During her visit, the actress spoke on her 11-month-old son Cree, her new book “Oh, Baby!,” and her all of a sudden departure from BET’s “The Game” after 5 seasons.

Tia also revealed that despite rumors claiming she was fired from the show … the decision for her to leave was mutual between her and the network.

“It was definitely a mutual decision.  It was time for me to move on to other things like writing this book, and I just finished doing a movie on ABC Family, and then I’m working on the show with my sister ‘Tia & Tamera,’ which premieres June 11th.”

Jennifer Lopez has dropped hints that she may not return to famed talent competition show “American Idol” next season.

During her promotional interview for her new film “What to Expect When Your Expecting” with fellow actress Cameron Diaz on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Lopez said of Idol:

“I really do enjoy it. Now this is my second year — I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they’re getting more mobile, they’re about to go into school … So I just don’t know.”

Sources close to the production of the hit Fox show say that the network doesn’t want to lose Lopez, but a source close to the singer — who is set to embark on a summer tour with Enrique Iglesias that will most likely turn into a world tour in the fall — tells E! News that she’s just simply “too busy” to be apart of the next season of American Idol.

“There is just too much going on for her right now,” the source explained. “She regrets she can’t stay on the show. It’s been an incredible experience and she is forever grateful that she did it.”

Along with rock legend Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez joined American Idol in 2010 for Season 10 and allegedly received a $12 million paycheck.

Her pay for Season 11 was upped to $20 million, which landed her the top spot on Forbes Magazine’s 2012 list of the most powerful celebrities.

According to a well placed source, HipHollywood.com has learned exclusively that Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall will NOT return to BET’s highest rated show, The Game.

Our source also added that both are very busy right now, Hall is working on another project, while Mowery is still filming her Style network reality show.

Tia Mowry herself also confirmed the shocking news via her Twitter page:

“Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. “The Game” — which is largely based on the lives of NFL star Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall) and Dr. Melanie Barnett Davis (Tia Mowry) — was recently renewed by BET for a sixth season, so fans of the show will definitely be shocked to learn that the central characters to the overall plot will be leaving.

Earlier this month, Pooch Hall told his Twitter followers that even though he is filming a new Showtime series, he would still be able to do “The Game,” and was hoping that BET would work something out … but it looks like they weren’t able to work anything out after-all.

It’s no secret that VH1′s “Basketball Wives” is one of the most hated reality shows on television, mainly because of the non-stop drama and fighting that seems to plague EVERY single season of the show, from the first season, through the fourth season that is currently airing on TV.

But the producers — including Shaunie O’Neal — say that’s about to change, now that the controversial reality show has been picked up for a fifth season, despite calls to boycott the program and advertisers pulling out from the show.

In a statement, Shed Media, the company who produces the show along with the VH1 network, addressed criticism that that the show promotes bullying, and insists that going forward, cast mates will be encouraged to resolved their issues in a non-violent manner, instead of the way things have been handled before.

“Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the Basketball Wives in a balanced way. Our producing partner Shaunie O’Neal feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance. We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a non-violent fashion. We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season.”

VH1 echoed Shed Media’s statement, saying that they condemn violence, despite claims that they actually promote it.

“Our viewers’ opinions always matter a great deal to us at VH1. Lately, there has been a lot of conversation about Basketball Wives, a series featuring strong, intelligent women with very passionate viewpoints, which can sometimes escalate. We at VH1 agree with and support Shaunie and the show producerss ‘no excessive physical confrontations’ policy on the series moving forward.

“We are all committed to balancing the candid, bold excitement that the viewers have come to love in the series with storylines and representations they can be proud of. Shaunie has been a strong advocate for a more balanced approach to the show and we, along with our producing partners at Shed Media, are all in agreement about moving forward with that goal.”

Viewers of “Basketball Wives,” which follows the drama-filled lives of a small group of women who have romantically been involved with professional basketball players, are often confronted with scenes that feature punching, slapping, swearing, hair pulling, glass (and wine bottle) throwing among cast members.

The show has received numerous amounts of criticism since it first premiered over two years ago on April 11th 2010, but public outrage grew when cast member Jennifer Williams decided to file a lawsuit against her co-star Evelyn Lozada‘s personal assistant Nia Crooks after an incident on the show in which Nia slapped Jennifer in the face.

Williams claims she was physically and verbally assaulted by the Harlem resident in a legal complaint, and many viewers of the show — including celebrities — used social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to promote a public boycott of the show and pass around a petition after the show’s producers reportedly threatened to sue Williams for filing the lawsuit against Crooks.

One petition, titled “Boycott Basketball Wives and Evelyn Lozada,” called for the boycott of the show and a boycott of a possible spinoff show featuring cast member Evelyn Lozada and her NFL player fiance Chad Ochocinco.

The petition, which racked up nearly 30,000 signatures on change.org, read:

Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on “Basketball Wives” is horrible and disgraceful. Physical assaults, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. VH1 is rewarding this behavior by giving Evelyn a spinoff. Don’t reward negative behavior.

This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not ok for women to hit each other on TV.

On average, Basketball Wives gets about 3 – 4 million viewers weekly, so it will definitely be interesting to see how those numbers do with the new next season “no violence” policy in place.

Kicking off promotion for his new album “Looking for Myself,” which hits stores in June, Usher took to the SNL stage to perform two singles from the project: his latest, “Scream,” and its predecessor “Climax.”

“Basketball Wives” is a VH1 show that features eight women, not one of which is actually in a successful marriage to a basketball player. (However, to be fair, a few of them are in the middle of divorcing players, or former players).

The show features an episodic formula that, if narrated, always include something like this:

“Soo… we’re getting all the girls back together tonight because the last time we all had dinner, it got kind of out of hand.”

Cut to a scene of women, predominantly black women, yelling at each other, getting out of their seats, and eventually getting violent with one another.

“I don’t know what happened, but one second we were all eating dinner and someone said something about Tami, and before I could figure out what was going on, Tami was getting carried out by security.”

I generally don’t make a habit of singling out a person and putting the weight of the world’s issues squarely on their shoulders. Well, with the exception of Sarah Palin, but that’s a different story for a different person who shouldn’t be allowed in front of a camera.

But Tami, I’m putting the weight of what’s wrong with reality television on you. And Shaunie O’Neal. And VH1. (What can I say? I’m feeling generous.)

For those of you that don’t know, Tami Roman is a former MTV Real World-er from back when the show mattered.

According to her bio on VH1.com, “Roman left The Real World and started living in it.”

They refer to her has “an impact player,” which is a slight of hand way of referencing last season’s cat fight where Roman’s wrath was unleashed on cast member, Meeka Claxton.

Meeka is no longer on the show, probably because she was uncomfortable returning to a show that allowed her to be violently assaulted on camera, by none other than Banshee Tami (her new name).

While Roman is credited with having an acting career, heading a foundation for girls, and being a financial executive, the most interesting of her credits is probably her biggest responsibility… Roman is a parent.

In the most recent installment of the program, Banjee Tami is upset with fellow “basketball wife” (BBW) Kesha Nichols.

Nichols said something about Banshee Tami to someone else in the circle. Banshee Tami didn’t like that and decided to confront Kesha.

When she didn’t get the same level of angry response from Kesha, Tami escalates the situation by taking Kesha’s belongings, telling her that if she wanted them back she’d have to come get them from her.

Like a high school child, Roman goes on to rifle through the purse, read through the enclosed cell phone, and the like. She continues bullying Kesha until she eventually returns her things, only after having been reported to the authorities.

It baffles me… no, enrages… no, no… it bafflerages me that VH1 and Shaunie O’Neal can put this on television with a clear conscience.

Maybe they don’t have a clear conscience, but they definitely put this on TV. But I’m more extra-super curious how Tami watches her own show with her two daughters and discusses with them about their her behavior and decisions.

What does she say to them that would make them not want to go bully the other school kids, and treat them the way she’s treated other women on the show?

Here’s my problem: Women like Roman continue to perpetuate the image of black women as angry, violent, and altogether mean.

Even removing the black factor, Roman is the perfect example of a woman who, unfortunately, is a role model to young women, NOT by the virtue of her celebrity status on a television show, but because of the work she does in her private life with young girls.

Roman is the portrait of someone who needs professional help, much more than we’re aware that she’d received at the time of this episode’s airing. She has a voice and a platform that reaches millions every week and every week somehow displays like Monday night’s are the way she decides to use it.

I stopped watching the show before the premiere of the current season when I saw the promos for the return of the show for season four. It featured women yelling, arguing, climbing over tables and physically fighting with each other and I said I just wouldn’t watch.

I wasn’t alone, public figures and peers alike also had a similar response. Even reality television junkie, and friend in our heads, Wendy Williams said “no more.”

Tonight, at a friend’s house, the show happened to be on and before we could get 20 minutes in I had to get up leave the room because I was so irritated with what I was seeing and hearing. I couldn’t believe it was really playing out in front of me in high definition (and really well saturated color).

When will we stop allowing people like Tami and shows like Basketball Wives to depict the images and tell the stories of hate, anger, and violence as somehow being “real?” What is it going to take for us to say “enough is enough?”

VH1: shame. Shaunie O’Neal: shame. Tami Roman: double scoop of shame.

If you’re watching the show, stop. If you haven’t, don’t. If you’d never heard of it before, count your blessings.

But then again, what do I know?

I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. I sincerely apologize to all of us, as well as to my castmate who was on the receiving end of my wrath.”

Instead of knit picking, pointing fingers and calling names, I decided to educate myself on the issue at hand. Following an intense battle of teams led by Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, “The Voice” has crowned its Season 2 winner.

Representing Team Blake, fan favorite Jermaine Paul — a former back-up singer for R&B singer Alicia Keys — was the last man standing in Tuesday night’s (May 8) season finale on NBC.

After Jermaine’s name was announced by host Carson Daly as the winner, the singer — who will take home a $100 cash prize and a Universal Republic Records recording contract — gave a ‘thank you’ speech, and hugged his family members, friends, fellow contestants and the other judges.

With a tear running down his cheek, Jermaine said, “I just wanna say thank you to everybody that voted for me … Nobody but Jesus, man,” before he closed out the show with an emotional encore performance of R. Kelly‘s “I Believe I Can Fly,” which he performed Monday night, likely securing his big win.

Justin Bieber gave the first live performance of his new single “Boyfriend” Tuesday night (May 8) on the the season finale of NBC’s “The Voice.”

BET‘s popular comedy-drama TV series “The Game” is back!

As the #1 sitcom debut in the history of all cable TV, season 4 of The Game left viewers on the edge of their seats, and the seduction continues as infidelity, ambition, secrets and betrayal collide to make Season 5 the most compelling yet.

Picking up where it left off, the show’s 5th season features the entire principal cast, including Melanie (Tia Towry Hardrict), Derwin (Pooch Hall), Malik (Hosea Chanchez), Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) and Jason (Coby Bell), as well as notable guest appearances from R&B singer Brandy and many others.

For some time now, “Basketball Wives” has been the subject of major scrutiny, and various online petitions are calling for its removal from airwaves.

But at least one of the show’s cast members seems to think that if the show were yanked off the air, it would be detrimental to society and will cause “millions of people” to suffer.

Tami Roman — one of the stars of the hit VH1 reality show — is being sued by Creme de la Creme hair products on claims that she went against a contractual agreement, and failed to promote their hair products on the show, instead choosing to promote her own hair line.

The company has asked the Texas judge to put in a court order to stop VH1 from showing any segments where Tami promotes her hair line, instead of theirs.

However, according to court documents obtained by TMZ, Tami claims that the company didn’t pay her on time, thereby breaking any contract previously agreed upon.

Furthermore, Tami said that preventing the show from airing would affect “millions of people,” and the harm Creme de la Creme claims to be suffering “pales in comparison.”

She’s also asking the court to let the show air as is, and wants her name and likeness to be removed from the brand’s products, and she also wants the company to pay her court costs.

Hopefully, the judge will allow VH1 to air to show on regular schedule so that “millions” won’t have to suffer.

Patricia Krentcil — best known the “tanning mom” — is officially a celebrity.

The dangerously overly tanned 44-year-old mother — who has been making headlines over the past couple of weeks after she allegedly took her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning booth with her — was parodied by “Saturday Night Live” comedienne Kristen Wiig on a recent episode of the hit NBC sketch comedy show.

“Hello Seth, sorry about all the smoke,” Wiig said with a hilariously straight face as she rolled onto the set of popular SNL segment ‘Weekend Update’ with Seth Meyers. “I just came from the tanning salon.”

Wiig, covered in bronzer, and wearing a black leather jacket with a white bow on top of her scraggly bleach-blond hair, as she made fun of the New Jersey mom.

“Tanning beds should only be used by responsible adults because you may not know this, Seth, but some people overtan,” she said. “Trust me, there are plenty of men in New Jersey who would like to snap into this slim jim.”

The REAL Patricia Krentcil — who can apparently take a joke — said of the spoof, “It was well done … The whole thing was hysterical.”

Rihanna made her third appearance on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, performing three different singles from her latest album “Talk That Talk.”

With lasers and a giant spiderweb in the background, the 24 year-old singer performed a medley of her latest singles, including “Birthday Cake” and “Talk That Talk.”

RiRi then finished off her set with her latest single “Where Have You Been,” and was joined by her dancers dressed in Egyptian attire.

Bobby Brown has finally broken his silence on Whitney Houston‘s death and his current relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

In an interview with the “Today” show that aired this week — his first since Whitney Houston died on February 11th 2012 — Bobby Brown talked about where he was when he found out his ex wife had died.

The 43-year-old singer told host Matt Lauer that he first learned of Houston’s death from a New Edition bandmate shortly before they were to take the stage for a concert.

Brown says he immediately called his daughter, who was too distraught to speak at the time, and someone else confirmed that Houston had indeed passed.

“I just started crying … You never expect someone close to you to just die. It was really hard,” he told Lauer.

Whitney Houston had a long history of drug abuse, but Bobby says he saw her shortly before her death, and she had a “glow” about her, which led him to believe that she was doing well, and was clean and sober.

But toxicology reports released in the months that followed Whitney Houston’s death say she had cocaine in her system at he time of her passing.

Brown says he was shocked to learn that his ex wife was still struggling with cocaine, as he himself has been clean for over seven years.

He was also quick to deny accusations that he is the one to blame for her death, and that her relationship with him was her downfall.

“It makes me feel terrible, but I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us and spent time around us instead of time looking through the bubble, they would know how we felt about each other,” Brown said, adding that his 2005 reality show “Being Bobby Brown” helped him and Whitney to both see how their drug abuse negatively impacted their relationship.

Brushing off allegations that he he was the reason Houston started using drugs, Brown said, “I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all … I’m not the reason she’s gone.”

Despite everything, Brown told Lauer that his relationship with Whitney “was great … I had 14 beautiful years with that woman. I can honestly say that — I love that woman — with everything I am. And I believe she loved me the same way.”

Bobby Brown also talked about rumors that he and Whitney’s only child together — their daughter Bobbi Kristina — is a drug abuser.

“She’s fine,” the R&B singer told Matt Lauer in the second half of their interview. “She knows that her mom is gone, and she knows that she has to live.”

“I know what she is actually doing. I think people are making assumptions of what my daughter is and how strong she is,” he said. “I am her father. She talks to me about everything.”

“Everything,” he said, includes her love life, and her rumored romance with Nick Gordon, a close family friend she once called her adopted brother.

“I would expect her to have a boyfriend,” Brown told Lauer. But he shot down rumors that Bobbi Kristina and Gordon were romantically involved with each other, saying they are “definitely not” together in that way.

Though Bobbi Kristina denied to be a part of the interview, the R&B singer’s other children — three from previous relationships — joined him for part of the interview and defended their father’s reputation.

“Everyone has their ups and downs,” his daughter LaPrincia said. “You can’t always be judged for that.”

“The bad boy image is just a part of the performance,” Landon Brown — his oldest son — said.

Bobby Brown also discussed the controversy surrounding his attendance at Whitney’s funeral, where he says he and his children were told by security that they wouldn’t be able to sit together.

Bobby says he felt “disrespected,” and he didn’t want to sit separately from his family, so he simply left early, kissing the casket of his ex-wife on the way out.

“I decided that, you know, it’d be best if I just left. I kissed the casket, and me and my children left the building,” he said.

Also spotted at the press conference, held in New York City, was Hip-Hop mogul Diddy, producer/producer Swizz Beatz and Bad Boy artist French Montana.

Khloe Kardashian is setting the record straight regarding reports that she and her husband Lamar Odom are pulling the plug on their hit E! reality show “Khloe & Lamar.”

Rumors began to swirl this week that after just two season, Khloe and Lamar decided to give their show the axe because Lamar wanted to focus on his NBA career.

But only half of that is true. Reps for the reality star say that the show hasn’t been canceled, it’s just on an indefinite hiatus.

“The show is not canceled,” Khloé’s rep confirmed to E! News. “We don’t know what the future holds, but it will depend on their schedules and on Lamar’s basketball schedule.”

Khloe Kardashian herself also denied reports that she and Lamar had canceled their show.

“Our show is not cancelled,” Khloe told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of at E! Network’s Upfront Event Monday night (Apr 30).

“Lamar and I have chosen to take a break this summer. We’ve been on a whirlwind doing back-to-back shows, and we just want to take a little time off for Lamar to be with family time, kids, basketball, Olympics — you never know. So, we have a lot on our plate right now.”

Lamar — who was recently released from the Dallas Mavericks after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this NBA season — said, “We just want to be happy. We’ll take our time and we’ll get back to it when it’s time.”

Even though “Khloe & Lamar” is on ‘break,’ Kris Jenner says fans of the dynamic duo will still be able to catch a glimpse of them on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which was just renewed for two more seasons.

On whether or not she could write a country song about being rich and famous:
“With no irony? I don’t think so, because country music is for real people. I think it would be very hard to write about my Louboutins. Do you know what I mean? My giant house, it’s not relatable. But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don’t think we’ve lost that mind-set. We don’t have a bowling alley in our basement. We don’t have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in L.A. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don’t care about stuff like that.”

On her new album Blown Away:
“There’s a happy-go-lucky feeling to some of it: A nice spring day, put the top down, turn it up, enjoy the world. But there’s a darker feeling too. We kill a couple people. It wouldn’t be a Carrie Underwood album without a revenge song on it. People really like when I do that. I don’t mean to. I don’t hate men that much. But it turns out so well!”

On her songwriting process:
“I’m not a creative person who’s up until 4:00 A.M., writing songs and being weird. I write with people, sharing stories, catching up. I feel I could easily sit down and write a song by myself, but when you get three people, different emotions pour out, and you take them all, round them up, and make them into one coherent thought.”

On what she wishes were different about her singing voice:
“I’m competitive. When I hear somebody else do something I can’t, it drives me nuts. Steven Tyler–that screamy thing he does? I can’t do that. I have too much control over my voice. Or people like Mariah Carey, who can do whistle tones [notes that are at the highest point of the vocal register]. I’ve tried, but I can’t train myself to do it.”

On doing chores she likes vs. chores she’d rather someone else do:
“I love to be at the grocery store. It makes me happy to have a full fridge and a full pantry. I hate sending my laundry out. I don’t like the thought of other people washing my clothes. What am I happy not doing? Lawn care. And I have a business manager who pays my bills. I did all that myself in college, but I only had one credit card back then.”

On her first irresponsible purchase after her career took off:
“My first stupid purchase was an accident. I was in Paris and went into one of those big, name-brand, fancy-schmancy designers, and I picked up a sweatshirt. Maybe I didn’t understand the price tag. I’m really bad with numbers. But when I went to check out, that sucker was $2,000. I’ve worn it twice.”

On being in a relationship with her husband, Mike Fisher, in the public eye:
“A plus is, he knew what to expect. In Canada he was a big celebrity, so he knows what it’s like living under a microscope. And he travels a lot, which is good for both of us. We’re both independent people, so we can’t have somebody around 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The drawback is that we can go weeks without seeing each other.

“But he’s the only guy I’ve never had to worry about. Any guy I’ve ever dated, there would always be that doubt: ‘He didn’t answer his phone. What’s he doing? It’s late.’ I’m not the crazy-girlfriend type, but there was a little voice in the back of my head. I don’t have to worry about Mike. I don’t think twice. He’s going out? I don’t care; it doesn’t bother me. I don’t bat an eye.”

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom‘s “Khloe & Lamar” E! reality show won’t be returning for another season.

According to TMZ, after just two seasons, the couple have decided to give their show the axe because Lamar wants to focus on reviving his NBA career.

Despite efforts from E! trying to convince them to reconsider, Lamar and Khloe aren’t backing out on their decision.

Instead, the couple will move back to L.A. and Lamar has hired trainers to help him get his game back on track. The couple will also make occasional appearances on “Keeping Up the Kardashians.”

Lamar definitely picked the right one … Show, or no show, Khloe is sticking by her man to the end!
