Does anyone besides me feel like the year 2008 just came and went? I mean really, it just seems like we were just closing out 2007 and bringing in 2008. And here it is, exactly one year later, and we’re closing out 2008 and bringing in 2009. Anyway, I’m going to start something new here at Gossip On This. Every few months or so, I’m going to write you guys (the readers) a letter, letting you know about future plans for the site, and to generally ask of your opinions on the current state of the site: what you like, what you hate, what you wish we did more of, what you wish we did less of, celebrities you want to hear more about, celebrities you wish we’d stop talking about, features you’d like on the site, features you hate on the site, and anything and everything else you can possibly think of.

2009 is right around the corner, and with us being online for about 2 years, we’ve become a little seasoned (in blogger’s terms). New celebrity blogs open up every day, and most don’t even make it to 6 months without the writers getting bored and just giving up and closing up shop. Well, we here at Gossiponthis.com are not bored and plan to be around for a very long time. With magazine subscriptions on a slow and steady decline, and subscriptions to celebrity blog RSS feeds on a fast rise, all celebrity blogs are going to be around for a while. Hell, we just got here!

But with that said, I wanted to ask you … all of you. What exactly do you want? What exactly will bring you back here every day, several times a day? What will spark your interest and make you want to become an active commenter? Without the thousands of you that visit the site every day, we wouldn’t even exist. So your opinions and suggestions do matter. So drop us a comment and let us know what will make Gossiponthis.com home for you every time you boot up your computers and laptops and hop on the internet.

Positive (and negative) comments are both welcome. Just don’t go in too harsh on us, hehe.

If you haven’t done so already, you have today and tomorrow to vote for your favorite blogs in their respective categories for the 2008 Black Weblog Awards! I know I’m late as hell on posting this, but I added the voting graphic to the sidebar a while back. I have a lot of things planned for the future of this site, and one of the biggest transformations is currently going underway and will be released within the next couple of weeks – no, not a new layout, but something damn near close and even better! But anyhow, please do me a favor and vote for Think2Wice in the “Best Teen Blog” category for the 2008 BWA’s!

It’s that time of year again. Well AOL BV picked Los’ comment on a post Kennesha made a while back about girls wearing sneakers with dresses. Congratz to Los for getting mentioned, and thanks to AOL for recognizing us!

What Up Think2wice readers!!! My name is Terrell Johnson, and I’m now officially a part of the T2W family. I’m from Chicago and I’m currently a high school student, but I plan to attend Columbia College in Downtown Chicago in 2009. I plan on majoring in Journalism and Graphic Design. One of my favorite hobbies is to surf the internet to find news on what’s going on in the entertainment world.

I will be the Sports Editor for Think2wice. The main sport you’ll probably see on Think2wice from me is basketball because it’s my personal favorite sport. Some associates of mine who are in business school have developed a new blog measurement system called the Blog Performance Indicator (BPI).The BPI measures a percentage of Alexa traffic, Technorati score, Digg, del.icio.us, RSS feeds, social bookmarking reader usage and how much the site has grown in the past month and compares it vs. other “similar category” blogs.

The BPI is supposed to be the most accurate measurement of how one blog performs vs. another and the competition as a whole. I was able to convince them to run the scores for hip-hop blogs. Over 100 active hip-hop blogs (min. one post a week) were rated with over 3,000 active hip-hop blogs found in the nation…

Hello world! My name is Kennesha Collins, the brand spankin’ new addition to Think2wice.org! Before I go any further let me give you a brief bio on myself. I am a 19 year old freshman in college majoring in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and when I’m not at school or in front of my laptop surfing the net, you can possibly find me cooking up something in the kitchen or of course shopping.

As the New Fashion Editor and Asst. Contributor, I will be bringing you the latest in entertainment news, hooking you up with the all the latest fashion trends, telling you how you could dress like the fabulous stars, interviewing famous and upcoming designers, as well as showing you who should have Thought 2wice about what they wore. What’s good everybody? First up, I’d like to welcome you all back to Think2wice. The site was originally supposed to return at midnight Saturday morning, but due to a few unforeseen circumstances, we had to push it back to later in the evening. Sorry about that! Anyway, obviously you can see that the new layout is up and running. As you should know, Michael Jackson is the juggernaut of Pop (music, culture, fashion). His album Thriller 25 is in stores now, I ask all of the true MJ fans and non-believers to participate in making this album, not equating with the original, the best-selling album to date. Here are the facts (keep in mind – this is all quoted in Guiness Book Or World Records):

The current layout you’re looking at has ran its course. We’ve been rocking the same look for almost a year, so I thought now, more than ever, would be the perfect time to completely overhaul the look/style of this blog, and try something new! Even though this second version of Think2wice has seen a few “minor” revisions over the past 10 months, I’m ready for something completely different, and I hope that you are too. So for the past couple of weeks, I’ve been putting together a brand new layout that I plan on releasing in the Spring, so definitely be on the look-out for it. As today comes to an end, Billboard has finally released the official numbers from the album sells of Kanye West’s “Graduation” and 50 Cent’s “Curtis!” Like I predicted waaaay back when the two announced this friendly battle, KANYE WEST SOLD THE MOST ALBUMS!! From BILLBOARD.COM:

Kanye West’s “Graduation” (Def Jam) easily leads the star-studded class of Sept. 11 releases, posting The Billboard 200’s largest sales total in more than two years. Nielsen SoundScan will show West’s album moved 957,000 during its first six days when the tracking service refreshes its charts tomorrow morning (Sept. 19).

Also pumping album volume are 50 Cent’s “Curtis” (G-Unit/Interscope), which will lock down the No. 2 slot with 691,000 sold. Kenny Chesney’s “Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates” (BNA/Sony BMG Nashville) will bow at No. 3 with 387,000 copies. The total for West’s “Graduation” is the largest by any album since 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” opened with 1.1 million copies in March 2005. West’s own August 2005 album, “Late Registration,” was the last album to surpass 800,000 copies when it began with 860,000.

Like I said before, it doesn’t matter who won or lost this little “battle.” It’s still amazing for them to sell that many albums in the year 2007 when people can freely download music FOR FREE! But y’all know damn well I’m happy that Kanye West took on the win. I feel proud to own my very own copy of “Graduation!” Now, let’s see if these sales keep up for next week!

If you’ve been on planet earth for the past 2 months, you should know that all everyone has been talking about is “The Showdown!” What’s “The Showdown” you ask?? Kanye West and 50 Cent of course! “Graduation” and “Curtis” both released online and in stores today, so if you haven’t done so already … COP GRADUATION! We all know Kanye West is a spaz, but I still pick him over shitty cent any day. I’m hearing that Kanye West is expected to sell close to (or over) 700,000 units this week, while 50 Cent is only expected to sell 500,000. Either way … that’s a lot of damn albums! Especially in a declining market. But the funny thing about those numbers is that I ALSO hear that Kenny Chesney is expected to cell even more than fiddy! Now THAT would be funny. I’d retire not ’cause I got beat by Kanye, but because I got beat by a Country singer!!! Anyhow, the numbers above are ONLY PREDICTIONS! Don’t be surprised if the real numbers don’t come out anywhere near the ones above. The only real way to know is next Wednesday when the chart results are in.

Romeo and Master P have a new album out today. HIP HOP HISTORY marks the first album Master P has ever done sans curse words in his rap lyrics! Why? He’s looking to “Take a Stand” – the name of his new record label – and clean up rap lyrics in general. In addition to the album, today marks the release of Romeo’s new book, “Guaranteed Success For Teens.” The title is pretty self explanatory.

I did an interview with these two a couple of weeks ago, but I have yet to post it due to a few technical difficulties with the audio. I’ll have it up by mid-week though! Master P had a lot to say about cleaning up the industry as far as rap lyrics go, and among other things, Romeo and I discussed his future in basketball and his latest business venture. I’m sure y’all heard about him BUYING RAP SNACKS. Anyhow, make sure you pick up that album and be on the look-out for our exclusive interview with Romeo and Master P!

You know her voice within the first three notes of a song. …17-year old Jordin Sparks from Glendale, Arizona! Congratz! I didn’t really watch this season (this shit gets more boring every year) but I did catch a few episodes and homegirl can sang! Not to mention she’s pretty easy on the eyes ;-) One person that almost stole her thunder though, was Ms. Paula “I be on that KRYPTONITE” Abdul! Did y’all catch how drunk she was tonight?? From beginning to end, you could tell she was a little bit no, a LOTTA BIT tipsy! Someone has got to Youtube her “performance” at the end of the show when Jordin won. I mean, she (Paula) was really crying!

…a sexy Latina by the name of Jaslene! The 20 year old Chicago native is now the 8th winner of the popular fashion series where aspiring models compete for a contract with the top modeling agencies and become the next CoverGirl spokesperson. I don’t really get into the show like that, but Koriee wanted me to let you guys know! Thanks Koriee!
