Here’s some more unreleased footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his “This Is It” tour. This video shows a clip of what you can expect from the upcoming “This Is It” movie, set to be released in late October. The movie was created to take fans behind the scenes with the late King of Pop as he prepared for his upcoming tour, set to kick off just 2 weeks after his unexpected death. He’s rehearsing with his band and telling them where he wants to go with his song, “Human Nature.”

Take a look at what’s being passed around as the movie poster for the upcoming “Takers” movie, starring Idris Elba, T.I., Chris Brown, Michael Ealy, Hayden Christensen and Paul Walker. We’re not so sure if this poster is “official” because it looks heavily photoshopped. T.I. and Paul’s heads look way too big for the bodies they were placed on. Besides, the movie doesn’t come out for another 6 months…

Here is the first official trailer for Oscar Winner Heath Ledger’s last film, “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.” Ledger was almost done filming for the movie before his unfortunate death from an accidental drug overdose. But instead of shelving the project, director Terry Gilliam hired Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell to play alternate-dimension versions of Ledger’s character. Don’t front like those Harry Potter books weren’t the sh*t back in the day. Here’s the latest teaser trailer for the latest film installment in the popular book series – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. By the looks of the teaser, the movie looks to be pretty intense! Earlier this year, we peeped Beyonce shooting a scene  for the upcoming film, Obsessed, and now the film’s finishing stages are out. The film will be in theaters April 24th. This is the official movie trailer for Dance Flick, a comedy written by Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Craige Wayans and Damien Wayans.The film pokes fun at recent dance themed movies Save The Last Dance, Step Up, Hair Spray, You Got Served, and How She Moves by following the life of a rich, suburban white girl named Tracy Transfat who gets into a series of misadventures when she moves to the inner-city. This is the official movie teaser for Sony Pictures’ Cadillac Records. The film depicts the life of the influential Chicago-based record-company executive Leonard Chess, and the legendary singers who recorded for Chess Records. The movie stars Beyonce Knowls as Etta James, Cedric the Entertainer as Willie Dixon, Jeffery Wright as Muddy Waters, Mos Def as Chuck Berry, and Gabrielle Union as Genevia Wade. Notorious isn’t set to hit theater’s until January 2009, but the teaser has already been making it’s way around the net! The film based around the life and death of Brooklyn rapper Biggie Smalls/Notorious B.I.G. The film features Angela Bassett as Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as Diddy, Anthony Mackie as Tupac, Sen Ringgold as Suge Knight, Antonique as Faithe Evans, Naturi Naughton as Lil’ Kim, and stars Jamal Woolard as Biggie Smalls. I’m curious to see how Biggie’s death was filmed, everyone knows the case is still a unsolved homicide. I wonder if they will be showing who they think killed Biggie or if they will leave it up to the viewers to decide. Check out the teaser above! Shout out to WSHH for sending this one over!

Disney has released a teaser trailer for their highly anticipated movie The Princess and the Frog! The film based off the fairy tale, but is set in New Orleans during the 1920s and feature Disney’s first Black princess Tiana. The film features voices by Jennifer Lewis, Angela Bassett, Keith David, and Dreamgirls star Anika Nona Rose. The film isn’t set to hit theater’s until December 2009, but hopefully the teaser will give you something to look forward to until then.

Here is another film to look out for by Universal Pictures! The time setting is Terminal Island, New York, 2020. A five-time NASCAR champion [Jason Statham] is convicted or “framed” for the crime of killing his wife and is sent to this overcrowded penitentiary where the inmates have to literally kill one another in the race to freedom. Tyrese Gibson will also appear in this new film as a character named “Machine-Gun Joe”. This trailer is so raw! Watch the trailer up above. You can catch this film in theaters August 22nd!

The 6th Harry Potter movie, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” doesn’t hit theaters for another 4 months, but a teaser trailer has been released and you can check it out above. Don’t front like you don’t like Harry Potter, lol! The movie will be released November 21st.

This is the official movie trailer for Overbrook Entertainments’ Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L. Jackson and the lovely Kerry Washington. The movie is about a young couple that has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. Lakeview Terrace is scheduled to be realeased September 19th! Looks like it’s going to be good, can’t wait for it to come out!

Having seen all of Tyler Perry’s stage productions makes me a Tyler Perry fan, I guess you can say. So I was thrilled when I heard that he’d be making a movie out of “Meet the Browns,” which happens to be one of my favorite plays from Tyler! I guess he wasn’t playing when he said he’d be making a movie out of all of his past stage plays. “Meet the Browns” stars Angela Basset, Jenifer Lewis, Rick Fox, and of course, writer AND director Tyler Perry. The movie is set to hit theaters March 21st 2008! Now all I need is a movie for “Madea Goes to Jail,” and I’m set, Lol.

SPOTTED @ HIP & POP!

I remember this play, and I definitely can’t wait to check out the movie!

YOUNG CESAR is the story of Ali Dean (Clifton Powell) and his failure as a father to his two sons, Cesar (Dominic Daniel) and Tariq (Sam Sarpong). Ali is sentenced to a life behind bars for a vicious murder during a botched robbery attempt on the Dean family in the ’80s. In jail and unable to guide his sons through the perils of the rough streets on which they grow up, Ali sits helplessly as he watches Cesar become trapped within the growing and lucrative drug trade. The story speeds full circle as Ali is ultimately released from prison on the very same day that Cesar starts his own life sentence.

Young Cesar is a contemporary nail biting Urban Drama, exploring themes of family, fatherhood, promise, redemption and the consequences of limited choices of life in the rough streets of the inner city.

Both inspiring and uplefting, Pride, a 1970s film based on real life events stars Terence Howard, Bernie Mac, Kimberly Elise and Tom Arnold. In this film Terence Howard (Jim Ellis), failing to find employment, overcomes his adversities – Jim fixes up an old abandoned recreational pool hall in a Philadelphia slum with the assistance of a local janitor. But when the project is treaten by demolition Jim fights back by starting the city’s first African-American swim team, recruiting troubled teens from the streets of Philly and transforming the team of novices into capable swimmers for an upcoming state championship. In the process of this, racist, violent and unsympathetic local city officials attempt to tear the team apart – Jim must do everything in his power to convince his swimmers that victory, both in and out of the pool is within their reach. Pride is definitely worth seeing in this case, it’s a empowering movie that captivates all audiences of all races, the actors are absoluely phenomenal in their performance. Pride is in theaters now and I’m tellin you, you’ll be gald to have paid your ten bucks, it’s worth every penny!

I’m really feeling this track produced by Karriem Riggins! It’s by Common [the best lyricist of all time in my opinion] and features Bilal and it will be on the “Smokin’ Aces” soundtrack, it has a very real message, it kinda of reminds me of Lauryn Hill’s ‘Final Hour‘ from off of her late 90’s album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill; that album along with that track was pure crack man! Yes, it is on heavy rotation as I type this right now, I am proud to say that I STILL own Lauryn’s albums both The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Lauryn Hill’s MTV Unplugged 2.0 album. I also have conjured up a quick sneek preview of Smokin’ Aces, which stars Common and Alicia Keys, that will be hitting theaters January 26th 2007!!!
