While in town for NYFW Tuesday (Sep 13), Laura and Gloria Govan, stars of VH1′s newest hit reality series “Basketball Wives L.A.” ran into the Pop superstar outside the Time Warner Center … and Gaga knew exactly who they were because she’s a fan of the show!

“She said she didn’t get to watch that much TV, but she really likes the show when she gets to watch it!” Gloria told Life & Style. “She was like ‘Wow, you guys are the Basketball Wives, aren’t yoy? It was so amazing that she knew who we were!”

Laura added, “We were not expecting that from Lady Gaga!”

“I came to Chicago to check on the GREAT ONE.. R.Kellz he wanted me to tell y’all thank you for the Prayers!!!” Tyrese tweeted Thursday.

R. Kelly looks to be in good spirits after his recent stint in the hospital for emergency throat surgery, which put a temporary halt on his tour.

He was released from the hospital late last month, however it’s still unclear when the R&B crooner will be able to get back to the stage to finish off his tour.

Speaking of Tyrese though, the R&B crooner, along with Young Money rapper Tyga, recently shot the music video for their single “I Gotta Chick,” (which also features R. The newly engaged celebrity socialite flashed a quick smile (and her belly, which she says, despite recent rumors, is not being occupied by a baby right now) at Debenhams in London, England this morning to promote the UK launch of her new fragrance. Over thousands of people showed up to meet her and score a quick autographed picture, but only 200 randomly chosen fans were allowed into the building.

Kim was also awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award last night at the Glamour Awards.

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was spotted dropping some change into a parking meter Tuesday afternoon (Feb 2) before making his way into Joan’s on Third restaurant in West Hollywood.

Gooding is the son of Cuba Gooding Sr., who according to Wiki was a lead vocalist of soul group The Main Ingredient (famous for their song “Everybody Plays the Fool“). Cuba Jr’s younger brother Omar Gooding is also an actor and is most known for his roles in TV shows like “Hangin with Mr. Cooper” and “Smart Guy.” As far as Cuba is concerned, he has a few movie projects he’s working on that will be released later this year.

IT’S YOUNG JEEZY!

While making his rounds in New York City last Thursday (Dec 10), rapper Young Jeezy stopped and took a few pictures for an adoring fan who just so happened to be a cute little white girl (random … we know!). Not that there’s any wrong with a rapper having little kids as their fans, but… we just hope their parents pick their albums from the “clean” section at Walmart!

In related news, Young Jeezy and fellow rapper Gucci Mane recently buried the hatchet and ended their long-running feud a couple of weeks ago during DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz Radio show on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9.

“I’m a hundred percent down with it [squashing the beef], you know I’m 10 toes forward,” Gucci said on air. “I’m with it and I think it’s a great idea and that’s what I’m fittin’ to do. I hope everybody is ready cause it’s back on.”

“That’s what it is homie,” Jeezy said in response. “What’s understood ain’t gotta be said man. We gonna do this for the city, so you just hold your head up. Me and Drama gonna hold it down brah, and that’s what it is. One hundred.”

The beef between the rap rivals began about five years ago, when they battled over the rights to the 2005 hit single “Icy,” which both rappers appeared on. It was originally intended for Jeezy’s debut, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, but ended up on Gucci’s independent album, Back to the Trap House. Since then, both rappers have traded disses back and forth. But, it seems now, those days are over. Maybe the two can even work together … only time will have to answer that question though.

IT’S RICK FOX!

The Toronto born former basketball champ was spotted by the paparazzi Tuesday afternoon (Dec 1) as he ran errands and handled some business in Los Angeles.

Rick Fox played for the NBA for 13 seasons and only played for two teams: the Boston Celtics (1991 – 1997) and the Los Angeles Lakers (1997 – 2004). He took on his first major acting role as a prison inmate on the HBO series Oz and has since then done a few movies and tv shows in between now and then. He’s had roles in Tyler Perry’s Meet the Brown’s, Ugly Betty, The Game and the movie Holes.

In 2008, he received $25,000 to donate to his charity after he participated on the game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? He lost out on the $50k question.

Fox’s most recent role was him playing himself in an episode of Party Down on Starz earlier this year.

IT’S PLEASURE P!

In an effort to promote his debut album, Pleasure P, formerly of the group Pretty Ricky, performed Monday afternoon (Nov 16) in front of his fans at the WGCI Coca Cola Lounge in Chicago, IL.

After releasing 2 albums with Pretty Ricky, Pleasure decided it’d be best for him to break away from the group and become his own man as a solo R&B artist. And so far, that move has turned out to be a smart one! Pretty Ricky isn’t doing so well these days and they rely on Spectacular’s (aka SpecTANGular) homo-erotic antics to maintain their relevancy all on account of their music not being able to do it for them. Sad story when you think about it.

And what’s the story on their relationship? When they first came out, weren’t they advertising that they were “brothers” or something? If that’s the case, then why does Pleasure P always, in essence, throw shade on his former group if they’re indeed blood brothers? So many questions, not enough answers … and we’re pretty sure no one cares enough to give us answers.

Anyway, Pleasure P’s first solo album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper was released in June 2009 but hasn’t done so well on the mainstream charts, but he’s holding his own for the most part on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. But things could be worse. He could still be with Pretty Ricky! (Yikes!)

IT’S MICHAEL JORDAN!

Six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan hit up the Inaugural Mike Weir Charity Classic at the Glen Abbey Golf Club Monday (Jul 20) in Oakville, Ontario (Canada).

The former basketball star is currently part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats and he owns the “Michael Jordan Suzuki” (a pro closed-course motorcycle road racing team sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association). And he has also owned his own clothing/shoe brand, known as “Jordan Brand,” since 1984 (then known as Air Jordan).

After making a pretty big name for himself with his basketball career, he retired in 1993 to play professional baseball, only to rejoin his basketball team, the Chicago Bulls, just two years later. He retired from basketball for a second time in 1999, but once again, returned to basketball 2 years later as a member of the Washington Wizards.

He retired for good in 2003 and will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September 2009.

The legendary R&B singer is planning on making a comeback this fall when she releases I Look to You, her highly anticipated seventh studio album, which will be her first studio album in six years. He even hosts his own PGA tournament in Vegas for Shriners Children Hospital, which is definitely a good look!

Word on the sidewalk is that he’s also preparing to release a new tequila called 901, which is the area code of his Memphis, TN hometown. According to NY Daily News, who gave the drink a lot of praise in their review, the liquor will be available for consumer purchase sometime in mid-May.
