Madonna lit up the stage last night (Sun Feb 5) as she put on an impressive performance during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show in an attempt to show the new generation who the real “Queen of Pop” is, just in case they had forgotten.

Her 12-minute-plus performance set featured renditions of her songs “Vogue,” “Music,” “Give Me All Your Luvin” and “Like a Prayer,” along with guest appearances from rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., Hip-Pop group LMFAO and R&B singer Cee-Lo Green.

Rihanna didn’t attend this year’s People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles Wednesday night (Jan 11) in favor of a Clippers Game, which was held literally across the street!

Rihanna was nominated for a couple of PCAs, and actually won in the category for “Favorite R&B Artist,” but she was obviously not in the building to accept her award since she was right across the street at the Staples Center watching the game, which resulted in the L.A. Clippers winning over the Miami Heat, 95 to 89.

Rihanna is currently on break from her world tour, and used some of that downtime to watch the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday night (Jan 8) at the Staples Center in L.A.

The curly-haired singer, dressed in an American flag t-shirt, showed off her long, sexy legs in a pair of cut-off denim shorts, which were covered up by a plaid shirt that she had tied around her waist, as she enjoyed the game with a friend, sipping on a full cup of beer, from her courtside seats.

LeBron James‘ new fiancee Savannah Brinson proudly showed off her huge, pear-shaped diamond engagement ring to courtside photographers at the Miami Heat vs. Charlotte Bobcats basketball game in Florida on Sunday (Jan 1).

The ring, which we hear is valued at around $300,000, is designed in a style that many jewelers claim that have not seen since Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s days.

LeBron, whose salary will reportedly top $16 million this season, popped the question to Savannah, his high school sweetheart and the mother of his children, during a private celebratory dinner in South Beach Miami over the weekend.

Rap superstar Jay-Z was spotted laughing it up last night (Tue. Dec 27) as he watched his team (the New Jersey Nets) take on the opposing Atlanta Hawks at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

If we could make a wild guess at what Jay-Z thought was so funny, we’d say he was most likely laughing at that hilarious rumor that popped up on Media Fake Take Out yesterday, claiming that Beyonce was set to deliver “at any moment.”

According to MediaTakeOut.com, Beyonce is expected to give birth “at any moment.”

Two nurses at New York City’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital told the celebrity gossip site that an alert was put out last night to the hospital’s nurses and security that a “celebrity VIP” would be arriving today to give birth.

There is no confirmation that the patient is Beyonce, but that’s the buzz throughout the hospital. And it could very well be true. The superstar singer confirmed that she would be 9-months pregnant now during a scene in her “Live at Roseland: Elements of 4″ DVD.

The nurses also dished that half the floor of the hospital’s luxury “Labor And Delivery Suite” has been booked for the mystery VIP. In fact, it’s the same suite that Alicia Keys delivered her son Egypt in last year.

Jay-Z looked to be having a good time kicking it courtside Friday night (Apr 8) at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ as he watched his team (the New Jersey Nets) take on the New York Knicks.

The NBA launched an investigation earlier this month after the “Empire State of Mind” rapper, who is a minority owner of the Nets, was captured on camera congratulating the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team in their locker room after they won against UNC in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

It is forbidden for the owner of a professional team to interact with possible NBA prospects, so the NBA fined the Nets $50,000. Pocket change for someone like Jay-Z, right?

Lots of celebrities participated Friday night (Feb 18) in the annual Celebrity All-Star Game. The all-star line-up included Trey Songz, Rob Kardashian, Romeo Miller, Rick Fox and others repping for the West; and Nick Cannon, Common, Scottie Pippen and more representing for the East Coast.

Christina Aguilera performed the “Star Spangled Banner” during tonight’s Super Bowl. In one of the biggest performances of her career, the singer forgot some of the words midway through the song. Instead of “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming,” Aguilera sang “what so prodly we watched at the twilight’s last [unintelligable lyric].”

Fortunately for the Pop star got the crowd back on her side when she nailed the “rocket’s red glare” line though, however a source tells our friends over at Pop Eater that the singer is “devastated” that she screwed up the National Anthem.

“This was the biggest performance of her career and she blew it,” the source told Rob Shuter of PopEater.com. “To mess up the lyrics was a disaster.”

After attending the NYC premiere for his new movie “Never Say Never,” teen Pop sensation Justin Bieber hit up Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks vs. Dallas Mavericks basketball game. Joined by professional Hockey player Henrik Lundqvist and his grandpa, Bieber watched the Knicks get defeated by the Mavericks, 113 to 97.

JB also shook hands with film director Spike Lee (who also attended his “Never Say Never” premiere), and he and Henrik posed for a quick picture with actor/comedian Chris Rock and his kids. But not everyone was happy to see the Biebs at the game.

According to sources, as the camera panned to the “Baby” singer during a time-out, the crowd boo’d him! One commenter said: “Why would you boo the kid?” to which his colleague replied “The boos are from the guys, the cheers are from the girls.”

Lil Wayne put his bowling skills to good use in his hometown Tuesday (Dec 14) as he joined NBA player Chris Paul (of the New Orleans Hornets) for the Celebrity Bowling Invitational, which was put together by the PBA (Professional Bowlers Association), at Riverboat Lanes in New Orleans.

Wayne, who has been bowling since he was a teenager, has said in the past that he owns four custom-made bowling balls.

“If you talk to a professional bowler, he would explain or she’ll explain how your own ball and your own shoes, and perfect lanes are important,” Wayne told CBS news anchor, Katie Couric in an interview last year. “I bowl with the curve and so it makes it curve.”

Other celebs on hand for the charity event were rapper Nelly, New Orleans Saints football player Reggie Bush, and Young Money president Mack Maine (not pictured) who cheered from the sidelines. The event is scheduled to air on ESPN on Super Bowl Sunday.

Last night, the celebrity socialite and Halle Berry‘s ex (and baby daddy) Gabriel Aubry were spotted courtside at the LA Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors game Sunday night (Nov 21)……and appeared to be having a great time!

According to Life & Style magazine, the two are starting to get close and even spent time at Kim’s house after the game. An insider told the mag:

“Kim and Gabriel met a few times while they were both in New York, and there was definitely chemistry, but when Kim returned to Los Angeles last Thursday, they really took it to the next level. They went out to dinner, caught the Lakers game and spent time at Kim’s house.”

We don’t know how true any of this is, considering Kim has been seen hanging out with just about every guy in Hollywood lately. But there’s always a possibility……

Nelly and his “friend” Ashanti (who both refuse to confirm their status as a couple), along with Ashanti’s sister Shia, were spotted kicking it courtside at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC at the Bobcats vs. Orlando Magic basketball game Saturday night (Nov 6).

FYI: Nelly, who happens to be minority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, just celebrated his 36th birthday last Tuesday (Nov 2) and his sixth studio album 5.0 hits stores next Tuesday (Nov 16)!

Just one day after being sprung from prison, Lil Wayne and his “daddy” Birdman were spotted laughing it up courtside last night (Fri. Nov 5) at the New Orleans Arena in Louisiana at the Hornets vs. Miami Heat basketball game. Check out a few pics below!

According to probation documents obtained by TMZ that went into effect shortly after his release from prison, Lil Wayne better not get wasted or blowed over the next 36 months. Hit the link below for more details…

The documents state that the rapper “may not consume or drink any substance containing alcohol” or possess illegal drugs, toxic vapors or controlled substances while he’s on probation. Weezy is also not allowed to knowingly associate with any person engaged in criminal activity or any person with a criminal record without prior written approval from the probation department.

If Wayne fails to comply with the terms of his probation….he could be sent back to prison for the remainder of his term.

Beyonce and Jay-Z kicked back and watched Jay’s team (he’s part owner of the New Jersey Nets) take on the Detroit Pistons last week (Wed. Oct 27) in New Jersey at the Prudential Center. The couple also brought along their nephew Juelz (Solange‘s son) to watch the game.
