Beyonce is ending this year on top and is bringing in the new year with more domination and this time you’ll see her on the big screen…again. Earlier this year, we peeped Beyonce shooting a scene  for the upcoming film, Obsessed, and now the film’s finishing stages are out. The film will be in theaters April 24th. Check out this new movie trailer co-starring Idris Elba and Ali Larter (Heroes).

Rap-Up Magazine’s Winter Issue is now available and is ending and beginning the year with someone who’ll be missed in the future, T.I. In the issue, T.I.P. discuss his jail sentence and even touches on the effects it’ll bring to him and his family. Accompanied on the 2008/2009 issue is sexy Christina Milian. This will be the first official magazine spread she’s done since parting ways with her former record label Island Def Jam. We love Ciara over here at GOT and can’t wait to support her and this new album Fantasy Ride. Unfortunately, her single, “Go Girl” featuring T-Pain isn’t currently doing as well as it should be. The cheating defending champions, the Boston Celtics, have accomplished their best streak in franchise to start a winning streak from 21-2. The Celtics defeated the New Orleans Hornets last night to win their 22-2 addition. Paul Pierce responded in joy of the recognition.

“It all goes out the window if we don’t win the championship,” Pierce said.

This year belongs to the Lakers. I’m not going to hop on the Celtics’ bandwagon, I’m sticking with my team (coughs) L.A. Lakers! But no haterade over here, congratulations Celtics. Enjoy … for now.

VIBE Magazine 2008 Tabloid Issue

VIBE Magazine is releasing its end of the year issue and is doing it “Tabloid-Style” grubbing up all the obvious rumors circulating through the blogsphere and inquring minds. Spotlighting Chris Brown & Rihanna’s ‘close friendship’ is the perfect way to pop the issue off. This should be a pretty hot issue. You should see the new January 2008 issue on stands now!

Beyonce Covers Elle Magazine

Beyonce is not only dominating this year with the introduction of her alter-ego Sasha but she will also be covering the January 2009 issue of Elle Magazine. In this issue Beyonce compares her attitude and mood swing to her character Etta James in her new starring film Cadillac Records.

“I feel like you get more bees with honey. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get frustrated in my life,” Beyonce continued, “My way of dealing with frustration is to shut down and to think and speak logically. But playing Etta was a time when I didn’t have to do that. I could be loud and let it rip.”

Houston Rockets’ guard Tracy McGrady will not be returning to the court until his full recovery of his left knee has healed. After starting the first 15 games after his arthroscopic surgery he had on his knee and returned to the court almost to re-injure his knee. Before McGrady left his was averaging 15 points per game.

“Obviously, I came back a little bit too early, I’m just not ready.” McGrady continued. “Now I’ve got some sort of peace of mind, I don’t have to worry about whether it’s going to take the whole season for me to get healthy and what I’ve got to do for me to get back to 100 percent. I don’t have to have to go under the knife again. I’m relieved.”

Hopefully T-Mac will get back on the court healthy and revved up full throttle.

PLAXICO BURRESS MAY CUT HIMSELF FROM THE NEW YORK GIANTS » due to the recent self-inflicted injury that recently occurred over the weekend. After shooting himself Saturday he turned himself in for not having proper weapon possession papers. Not only is he facing years in prison, he also might be facing the fact that he’ll no longer be a player on the Giants. This has not been the only offense Burress has committed during his time with the Giants. The NFL policy on gun possession includes:

“And if you violate a public law covering weapons, for example possession of an unlicensed firearm, you are not only subject to discipline, including suspension from playing, but also subject to criminal prosecution.”

This may be the end for Burress but he has not been convicted of any charges as of yet. His career may be battered but could also still be intact. Only time will tell…
