This weekend Joshua Packwood will officially be the first white valedictorian to graduate from the historically black, all male Morehouse College in the school’s 141-year history.
Joshua grew up in a poor area of Missouri, where he says he found himself gravitating to the black community at a young age.His mother’s second marriage to a black man ended in divorce which forced him to seek refuge with his best friend’s family – who were black and middle-class. It was the experience of living with his best friend’s family Joshua says, helped him see a “different side of black America.”
What was the most controversial album title in hip hop history has been changed. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that a representative for Def Jam has confirmed to them that Nas has made a decision to change the title of his new album from N*gger to Nas.

Jennifer Lopez is adding a masculine scent to her portfolio this September, for the very first time. Following the spring/summer release of Deseo for Women, J.lo had began advertisement for her new scent, Deseo for Men. J.lo recently said:
“I wanted to capture the intimate and personal nature of a man who is sexy, yet strong,” Lopez says. “We are always looking to create something new and exciting, and one thing that I had yet to do was a men’s fragrance.”
When asked to describe the scent of the cologne J.lo said:
It has “top notes of lemon, red berries and cedar leaf; a heart of tobacco leaves, guaicwood and orris, and a drydown of sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, amber and vanilla.
Ne-YoGo-Go (his stage name in the video) like many other stars, got his start by appearing on Showtime at the Apollo. Even though Ne-Yo’s group was basically booed throughout their entire performance, it was cool to see Ne-Yo doing something other than Micheal Jackson inspired dance moves. Former American Idol contestant Corey Clark (Snow) was also spotted.
Actress Megan Good was chosen as one of Vanity Fair Magazine’s “Vanities Girls”. In addition to a photo shoot, Vanity Fair highlighted Meagan’s directing debut. Megan’s Movie “Miles From Home” premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
