Ever since I was a young child Pixar has made a lasting impression with each of their animated masterpieces, so its no surprise that UP exceeded the award winning standards that Pixar’s delivered film and film again.

This time around Pixar not only managed to take the audience on a ride full of emotion, humor and visual amazement, they did it in 3-D. Equip with a ticket stub and a pair of 3-D glasses both adult and child alike experienced the wonders of the South American terrain, the heartache in an old mans tale, the innocence of a child’s ambition, the predictable mind of a dog and the excitement of an epic adventure.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The new “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” movie is definitely worth a look! This adaptation of the X- Men story is the best so far. All the mysteries are finally revealed in this one as director Gaven Hood takes us on a ride though the haunting and troubling past of Wolverine, explaining everything from his solid antemium core to the origins of his name, and even his unexplainable memory loss. As if answering all the cliffhanging questions about Wolverine wasn’t enough, Hood managed to intertwine the past of Wolverine with that of other mutants such as Sabertooth, Gambit, Night Crawler, Deadpool, Beak, Blob and even Cyclops.

Columbus Short losers

Actor Columbus Short is set to star in Sylvian White’s latest film, The Losers, which is based on a DC Vertigo war comic book. Short admits to never having read the comic book before but has recently taken up the hobby. One would think that Short would be reluctant to take on a role such as this, but despite any short comings, Short puts all his faith and hope into the hands of White, claiming that Stomp The Yard was a clear demonstration of White’s talent and to expect big things seeing how this go round White has a big budget with Dark Castle Entertainment. Short played “DJ” in the 2007 film.

‘Losers’ centers around a Special Forces team, who are set up and betrayed by their enigmatic handler, Max, who soon discovers that you should never leave a bunch of black-ops commandos for dead. The Losers regroup for revenge, and to get their names off a pesky CIA death list. For issue after issue, they conducted covert operations against the CIA, and sought to uncover the plans and conspiracies of the powerful, secretive Max.

In the film Short will be playing the role of “Captain William Storm.” Assisting him will be Jeffrey Dean Morgan (”Clay”) and none other than Sylvian White himself, who will be playing the role of a character named “Pooch.”

Still in the phases of pre-production, The Losers is set to begin filming in June 2009 and is expected to be released sometime in 2011.
