NEW YORK CITY // MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH 2008 » Hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs recently revealed a new advertisement for his brand new “I Am King” men’s cologne. The rapper/entrepreneur threw a party last night celebrating the new ad’s placement on a huge billboard in Times Square at The Dream Hotel in NY.

Sean “Diddy” Combs said, “I am really proud of the new billboard and of the message that it conveys to everyone who gets to see it. I Am King is not just about me, but every man. We are all descendants of kings. And if all men believe in that, we can accomplish anything. This image pays tribute to that belief, that ideal.”

No, that’s not a typo … we really mean FIGHTS! With an “s.” If you didn’t know what the “Dirty Awards” were before today, then you damn sure know what they are now! The 2008 Dirty Awards, hosted by Radio One, went down last night in Atlanta at the Georgia International Congress Center. The show, hosted by rapper David Banner, went on without a hitch … that is, until Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo hit the stage. After Shawty Lo performed “Dey Know,” the one song everybody knows him for, he proceeded to poke fun of T.I.’s Grand Hustle crew with his own version of “Ain’t I,” a song by Grand Hustle artist Yung LA. Shawty Lo called his version “Don’t I.” While we don’t know the specifics of all of the details, we do know someone from Grand Hustle (eyewitnesses say it was Alfamega) got heated and threw a chair on the stage, and it all went downhill from there. Authorities broke up the fight, and the show continued.

Travis Barker has filed a lawsuit against Bombardier Inc., Clay Lacy Aviation and Goodyear Tire and Rubber, blaming them collectively for the plane crash in which he and friend DJ AM survived.

Travis Barker has filed a lawsuit blaming the pilots and defective equipment for a plane crash that severely injured the rocker and DJ AM and killed four others. The L.A. Superior Court lawsuit, also filed Friday by the mother of Barker’s bodyguard, Charles “Che” Still, who died in the crash, alleges the pilots “negligently decided to abort” the takeoff when the Learjet’s tires failed in September at an airport in Columbia, S.C. “The pilots were either poorly trained and/or failed to follow their training,” the suit says. “The pilots’ decision was a breach of their duty owed to the passengers onboard and was a substantial factor in causing the crash and resultant injuries and deaths.”

Pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, and co-pilot James Bland, 52, were killed in the crash, as were Barker’s assistant Chris Baker, 29, and Still, 25. The lawsuit also alleges that one or more of the tires failed, “leaving tire debris and portions of airplane components along the 8,600-foot runaway” and that the plane’s landing gear, tires, wheels, brakes, reverse thrust system, and squat switches “were not airworthy.” Barker, who is recovering from severe burns, is claiming the crash caused him pain and suffering, mental anguish, psychological and emotional distress, disfigurement, loss of earnings capacity and medical expenses.

Federal aviation officials are focusing on bare tires and debris on the runway as the causes of the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board says the wheels had very little rubber remaining and its brakes were severely damaged. The lawsuit names as defendants Clay Lacy Aviation, Global Executive Aviation, Inter Travel and Services, Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Bombardier Inc.

According to People, when Malia and Sasha Obama visited the White House for the first time, they went up to their new bedrooms and jumped on the beds, with the help of Barbara and Jenna Bush, of course.

“We helped them jump on the beds,” Barbara, 26, told PEOPLE. “We used to jump on the beds when we were little, too.” The Bush twins were 7 when they first visited the mansion, when their grandfather, George H. W. Bush, was elected president. With a laugh, Mrs. Bush added, “They’re really tall beds; you need to get a running start.”

As Mrs. Obama checked out the two floors where she, the president-elect and their girls will make their home January 20, she wondered aloud about where they might install a toy closet to keep things tidy. Mrs. Robinson marveled at the “magnificence” of the place, said another person familiar with the details of the tour. “They all just said, ‘Oh my God, it’s just so beautiful!’”

The Obamas have also selected a private school for their daughters. According to CNN, the girls will go to Sidwell Friends School, the same one attended by Chelsea Clinton.

We pray Michelle keeps these girls in check so they don’t turn out like the Bush twins. They aren’t the best role models in the world…
