It’s official. Kim Kardashian will not be be married to another man when she and Kanye West welcome their newborn daughter next month.

PEOPLE is reporting that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star and Kris Humphries reached an undisclosed settlement in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday night.

According to TMZ, Humphries decided to avoid a lengthy trial with his ex because of his commitment to playing for the Brooklyn Nets. Or, in other words, he was probably given loads of money to keep quiet and do whatever the members of the Kardashian empire said.

Of course, the official story is that Humphries walked away without a penny, which is hard to believe. Unless, he knew and accepted that he didn’t stand a chance against the almighty Kardashians, who are worth a reported $80 million and counting.

Kim K and Humphries married in August 2011 after less than a year of dating. Not surprisingly, the bloated ceremony marked the beginning of the end for the couple. Their marriage famously lasted for 72 days before the star filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Humphries sought an annulment of the grounds of “fraud” and claimed (like many) that the wedding was a grandiose publicity stunt.

The finalizing of the divorce marks the end of the constant media attention that surrounded the relationship between the reality star and the basketball player. This means that now nothing is standing in the way of Kimye’s baby getting round-the-clock media coverage.

Get ready for photo after photo of the couple’s child (which will likely have some bizarre name) and countless stories about what the kid is wearing, doing, where she’s going, the list goes on.

Last month, Hollywood Life reported that Kardashian and West are planning to tie the knot in a “lavish California ceremony,” so we may also have to hear about their over-the-top bullshit nuptials and how they sold pics of the event for millions of dollars.
