Chad Ochocinco is a free agent as of today after being dropped from the New England Patriots.

According to various reports, the Patriots spent all day Thursday (Jun 7) trying to trade Ochocinco, but were unable to, and chose to release him.

The 34-year-old NFL player was previously with the Cincinatti Bengals for 10 years before he was traded to the Patriots in July 2011.

In his one season with the New England franchise, Ocho had a single touchdown, and only caught 15 passes for 276 yards. He was paid a reported $5.75 million for his efforts

After the news broke that Chad had been released from the Pats, he tweeted:
