UsherBeyonce Lends Her Voice to New Animated Movie “Epic”
Beyonce has reportedly signed on to star as an animated character named “Queen Tara” in a new 3D CG-animated movie called “Epic.”
The movie — directed by Chris Wedge (“Ice Age,” “Rio,” etc.) — is about a teen girl who gets magically dropped into a secret universe, and teams up with a unique band of characters in an effort to help save the world.
“Epic,” produced by 20th Century Fox Animation, also stars Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis and Steven Tyler. It will arrive in theaters next year on May 24th 2013.
Beyonce’s role as “Queen Tara” in “Epic” is her first since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in January. The new mom is also expected to star in Clint Eastwood‘s remake of “A Star Is Born,” which also hits theaters in 2013.
