It looks like after a lot of back and forth negotiations, Pop icon Britney Spears may have very well landed herself a spot on the judging panel on the upcoming second season of the U.S. version of “X Factor.”
Rumors first began to circulate in March stating that Spears would be paid $10 million to judge one season of the show.
However, recent reports have said that she will allegedly be seeing a $15 million check, which is $3 million more than what was given to former judges Paula Abdul and Jennifer Lopez.
When asked about the “Gimme More” singer’s seat on the signing talent show during an interview on ‘Live with Kelly’ L.A. Reid teased “All I know is they’re gonna be two women.”
Specifically regarding Britney he said, “I Like that idea.”
Back in February, “X Factor” boss Simon Cowell had nothing but words of praise for Spears, saying, “This girl has resilience. I would think that if she’s managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, X Factor would be a walk in the park. I would be fascinated to hear what she has to say. She’s still hot, she’s still having hit records and she’s still controversial. There’s a reason for that.”
