It’s no secret that Oprah Winfery’s “OWN” TV Network has been struggling to bring in high ratings since it was launched in January 2011.

Now sources close to the network have revealed that Oprah fired at least 30 people this week, including 2 executives, in an effort to restructure the company and basically start over.

Sources connected to OWN tell TMZ … people from at least 3 departments were let go … including the creative services dept., integrated marketing and promo scheduling.

We’re told one of the casualties was the head of the Creative Services Department. Another was the Senior Vice President of Production.

One source tells us the group included people with years of experience in the industry as well as newcomers.

Another source told TMZ “It’s like a ghost town over there…They did the firings respectfully … brought everyone into an office individually and explained the situation face to face”.

This comes on the back of Rosie O’Donnell’s show being recently cancelled by the network.

OWN has not yet released any official statement.
