Dennis Rodman is the latest celebrity to owe Uncle Sam some money! Or maybe he isn’t…

According to recent reports, the state of California filed a $42,495 tax lien against the former NBA player last year. However, the 49-year-old’s business manager says that has “got to be incorrect” because Rodman received a refund check from the state last year worth about “$42,000 or $43,3000”

“We just got a refund check from the state for $42,000 or $43,000,” Rodman’s business manager, Peggy King, said. “If you owed the money, you’d never get a check from them … it’s got to be incorrect.”

In related news, the Detroit Pistons plan on retiring Rodman’s No. 10 jersey during a halftime ceremony on April 1st. Rodman was influential in helping the Pistons win two NBA titles back-to-back in 1989 and 1990 before he went on to play for other teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls.

Dennis Rodman is also expected to learn later this week if he’s a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
