It’s official. First, big brother Jaden Smith got his chance to star in a big movie remake (“Karate Kid”), and now his little sis Willow Smith is getting her turn!

The 11-year-old has officially signed on to star in a remake of the musical “Annie.” The movie will be developed by Sony Pictures and will be produced by her parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s production company Overbrook Entertainment. As rumored, rapper Jay-Z is a part of the project as well.

“The time is right to bring back ‘Annie’ to the big screen. Of course, we’re true believers in Willow’s talent and believe she will be perfect in this role,” Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad told The Hollywood Reporter.

The Smiths teamed up with Jay-Z and a few other Overbrook partners once before to co-produce the award winning Broadway play “Fela!,” which earned 11 Tony Award nominations last year.

“The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision. We’ve already produced a Tony Award winning play and we’re developing a true superstar in Willow,” Jay-Z said in a statement.

Willow Smith is also signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. And though it wasn’t explicitly mentioned, we have a feeling Jay and Roc Nation will have something to do with the soundtrack for the film.

Look-out Jaden, your little sister is bringing on some serious competition!
